MoneyLineWallet won't connect with NetSpend

I opened a MoneyLineWallet account yesterday and was planning to fund it with my NetSpend VISA. I gave MLW my NS info (account # and RTN) and was told the account was "invalid" and my MLW account wouldbe closed for fraud. :(

Its a prepaid card. They know that due to the distinct routing number. A lot of places wont take it because they know it is not a bank account. The Netspend card is a financial service not a bank.

Now I am a bit worried. I opened an account with MoneyLineWallet as well a few days ago. I gave them my banking info and made a deposit. I logged in the next day to see about verifying my account. I too was told that my account would be closed because of fraud. I argued with them and they gave me an email address to dispute their decision. The email bounced. So they gave me another email address and no one has replied to me after 2 days. Does anyone else know anything about them?

Yeah, when they asked for a voided check as part of the docs to get the max deposit limits, I thought I might be in trouble (since NS doesn't issue checks), but I didn't expect them to close the account.

So, they got your money, and NOW all of a sudden you are a fraud.

Along with bouncing emails, and ONLY deciding customers are frauds after their deposits, this operation looks shady.

I had the SAME views when this option was introduced as a "new option for the US", since it seemed as though it was run by a bunch of amateurs.

Rogue processors are springing up all the time, but mostly it is casinos that get screwed. No reason why a rogue processor should not diversify though, and take advantage of players who find all their trusted options closing down.

follow-up

So, after being told by MoneyLineWallet that NetSpend was an "invalid" funding option a week ago, today I find a mysterious ACH Debit from my NS account. Sure enough, it was MLW. Guess NS isn't so "invalid" after all. I'll give them credit though, they do have Live Chat CS and the rep was very helpful in verifying that the charge was indeed theirs and re-activating my username/pw.

I wouldn't touch these guys with a barge pole if I were in the US.

Threads for reference, and pay particular attention to VWM's post in the first one, where he mentions a thread on Casino Crush. Nothing but problems:

Come on peeps.....these forums are a gold mine of information, so please please use them and you will avoid clipjoints like MLW.

I know things are tough for US players right now, and there are ewallets springing up everywhere. However, it should be a time for extra caution as they could very easily slip off into the night with your cash. It would be devastating to have a big win and never see a dime.

They didn't just say NetSpend was invalid. They accused you of being a fraud, and closed your account.

A WEEK later, they sneak in & take your money from NetSpend. WHO looks like the fraud here then;)

You asked them about this charge, and now suddenly they are welcoming you with open arms, the SAME customer they were certain was a fraud the week before.

Do they just dish out these accusations of fraud to anyone, or do they REALLY have good reason to suspect fraud, rather than just "technical issues".

Fraud is a good excuse for seizing money, and anyone accused of fraud usually DOES have their money seized pending an investigation.

If MLW get into trouble, what's to stop them simply accusing everyone of "fraud" and keeping the money already in their accounts, when the TRUE problem is likely to be down to them getting "rumbled" by the banks, and being unable to get transactions to go through.

You said it yourself, times are tough, and, just like in investing, when times are tough, you have to accept more risk to make (or in this case spend) money. The best you can do is keep your transactions small and be extra vigilant.

Someone please enlighten me as to how someone even convinced Netspend to allow you to use them as a checking account in the first place?
To me this sounds like a cry for a way to scam MoneyLineWallet into believing that you actually made a deposit. (Not saying there not con artists in themselves, but trying to make heads and tails out of this thread)
It clearly states in Netspend terms of service. You do not hold a checking or savings account with said bank. The only purpose of the routing number is to direct payments into your prepaid account. It's not to be used as an active checking account with paper checks or electronic transfers. Other than for the purpose of getting direct deposit or incoming pay pal transfers.
So unless if your in with some elite group that is allowed to use this as an active checking account. I would love to be explained to as to how DaveG actually was allowed (if he really was) to do an ACH debit from his netspend card.
Something just doesn't add up at all with this whole thread.
Personally I think someone is smoking the peace pipe a bit much or really becoming delusional with there final attempts to gamble here in the US.

same outfit from MLW

Intresting enough i found this website, it is from the same company as MLW.

Link Removed ( Old/Invalid)
