Hi

Started happening today, anyone else in the same boat with me or has had similar problems? The casino's do not load, i just get a white screen when trying to open the download version of any microgaming casino. On my desktop pc with windows 10 its working fine (atleast at the moment), but windows 7 just loads this white screen in place of the normal pop up / login window .

Have tried rebooting etc, but nothing helps, and i don't understand what is causing this problem. The quick casino (no download) works just fine, just not the download versions.

Same problem also happening here, i thought it might be affecting everybody cos the freeroll this morning had half as many people in as usual.

it appears to be a flash player problem, I fully deleted flash player and the casinos then work without it installed , despite the fact it constantly bugs me to install flash player, reinstall it and it breaks again,

I rolled back with system restore to a time when it worked, which fixes it but only for a while, checked later and it was broken again, leads me to also believe a silent windows update (which happend 8 minutes after a system restore) could also be a factor.

Glad its not only me,as this has been driving me mad all day.

I have disabled windows update entirely (manual updates as needed), so this probably is not causing problems. Then again, who knows what winblows OS does.

Must be the flash player then, only mentioned that as its the only thing that happened since a system restore.

as a quick fix the casinos seem to work without flash player installed albeit with constant propmts to install flash player.

microgaming should really look into HTML5, wasnt the flash player considered obsolete 2-3 years ago anyway.

Yup Same problem here. Its across all Mg casinos unfortunately. A system restore as someone has already mentioned fixes the problem, however it is only temporary and the problem re appears. White screen on loading the casinos with the flash video not loading. Program seems to hang then. This started Yesterday. Annoying indeed :what:

I have a fix. I work with computers so it was pretty easy when i knew it was a flash issue:

Download the flash player uninstaller tool from adobe (needed because if you just uninstall yourself it does not allow you to install previous version):
You do not have permission to view link Log in or register now.

Then download earlier version from the adobe archive:
You do not have permission to view link Log in or register now.
(zip it) then install version called flashplayer18.0r0_268_winax, and tick the box it only notifies you to install new version(so that it does not install one automaticly).

Please note, use this at your own risk, because using earlier versions of flash is not recommended (albeit this is only a few weeks old). However i think it might take several weeks for a real fix to happen, since its a flash player issue, and microgaming does not have any control over this. They can just report it to adobe and they fix it when they can. I highly doubt this is easily fixable by microgaming , even though i hope it is.

Forgot to say , this works only for windows 7, in 8+ flash is bundled with the OS.

Top Marks this man. Utter kudos  Fix works like a charm. Thanks Kavaman

I do not want to start messing with my flash player - perhaps Mark could let us know if they are going to resolve this ? I was okay when playing at 3.30 - but tried logging in again about 7 to find 32red and dash both give me the white screen

Its a very simple uninstall and reinstall straight from the Adobe site. I would be surprised if this problem is rectified quickly. ALL MG casinos are affected by this flash update bug. I imagine the fix would have to be a roll out from MG themselves or adobe :what:

Why is it that once these Flash updates happen, eveything else seems to work, for example, Facebook games, youtube videos, but MG software always has problems?

Lost count of the amount of times I've started a thread on here because of this. MG software is terrible at the best of times, I only have to try to open a game and it starts having a fit.

This is why when I read people on here say the download casino is pretty stable, has no lag etc I'm thinking "huh? how long have you been gambling online?", I have 100M+ internet and get lag 90% of my sessions, then there's the 'connection error/lost' msg, then the issues when you try to join a tournament and it has to download the game despite you having played it a billion times before and you end up having to restart the casino.

It's absolutely dire. You'd think given the money they must make from us, things would be better.

I knew I should have checked here before going to 32Red support. Still I got an update on my withdrawal request from the 23rd which has only just been processed, and I'll still have to wait a few more days for it to clear. :-/

It looks like I'll be playing at Omni and Guts a lot more now.

The viper client is just terrible IMO... My old laptop died because of it... 32red told me everything was fine and calm on their end... The weather was good too if I remember correctly :)

I agree the viper client completly sucks, apart from a few slight cosmetic changes it has hardly changed in years since I first used it, well apart from the fact it now uses five times the memory and cpu cycles to run.
then theres the redownloading of all 800 games every month, when most players probabily only play 5-10 games. such a colossal waste of bandwidth, why not only download the game as required?

my pc is a bit old now but can still run 1080p videos @60 fps, why they hell cant i run a 6 year old slot game at 1024x768 without slowdown, and the new mg "widescreen" (720p) games run like utter crap, even thoug they now utilize multicore rendering, what 3000mhz x4 cores (12000mhz) is not enough? its enough for GTA5 damn it.

also i would never reccomend using viper on a laptop, they arent designed for such high constant cpu usage, and they will overheat and burn out (as yours did)

Rolling back its a fine solution for Win7 users. Word of caution though, the reason flash is updated so often is to patch a never ending cycle of security vulnerabilities. Rolling back to an older version leaves you open to whatever exploit was fixed. There is a tiny chance you could be compromised, but its worth noting. Maybe hold off until Adobe/MG patch the issue on their side.

I was playing the flash player - tried to deposit on 32red to get the bonus using debit card - but I keep getting transaction failed - anyone else find that problem?

This got me 2 days ago. I reached the same conclusion, the Flash player, as I remember it all worked fine until I decided to update it, and then Viper broke.

Viper casinos do not actually NEED Flash, it's just for the movie screen when starting the casino and the intro movie when entering some games. The aggressive nag screens for when players don't have Flash are really unnecessary, and it would be much easier for MG to disable these than try to fix the problem with Flash v 20.

Going back to an earlier Flash solves the problem for now, but it's not ideal.

Given that the Flash content used in Viper isn't important to the game or even the tournaments, and the fact that it constantly causes such problems, perhaps MG should remove Flash altogether and use something different for the movies, or even allow players to switch them off altogether and have a no-Flash Viper environment that works without loading a constant stream of nag screens.

This is not the first time the Viper client has run into problems with the Flash player, so it was among the first things I checked.

Adobe have announced that they will no longer develop Flash, and now see it as legacy software that will be patched for bugs and security issues, but that HTML5 is the future.

June 2016 will probably see a sharp increase in Windows 10 use as after this people will have to start paying to upgrade, so it makes sense to get it whilst it's still free, and hopefully when many of the early issues have been sorted.

I did the downgrade since i use win7 on my laptop. Propably going to leave the old version of flash on this machine until the issue is fixed, since i enjoy the download version of MG much more then the no download version.
I also think people should not do the downgrade unless they really know their computers, because flash is pretty unsecure , and the new versions usually patch up security vulnerabilities like already mentioned on this thread. As for the other thread in the same subject vinyl already mentioned that this is likely not getting fixed anytime soon, meaning it might be a few weeks atleast .

Flash Player 20.0.0.267 - ActiveX Embedding Issue
chris.campbell Adobe Employeechris.campbell 30-Dec-2015 13:55
We've received reports from customers that indicate problems embedding the Flash Player ActiveX control into non-browser applications with our 12/28 release (version 20.0.0.267). This can be manifested by either white or black screens where the Flash content should be displayed or COM errors and exceptions.

We're investigating these reports with the highest priority. We apologize to those effected by this inadvertent change in behavior and we hope to make a solution available as soon as possible. I'll be keeping this thread updated with the latest findings and will continue to provide updates on a regular basis.

For those impacted, please see the bug reports below if you'd like to add your comments to our investigation.

It seems Adobe are changing their tune, even if only a little. They were saying that this was an intended behaviour change due to security concerns, and not a bug, and that developers had brought this upon themselves by using unofficial coding methods. Adobe said that if they did change Flash so that these problems were resolved, such a change would not reach users till the February update, and the onus would be on users or IT helpdesks to roll back to Flash 19, or on developers to change their coding to work with Flash 20.

The developer with the broken screensavers cannot use AIR as suggested because it does not run in screensavers, so they are stuck with Flash for now. It's the PC desktop games and other more serious programs that should be using AIR rather than Flash, but such an alteration is not something developers can get done in a couple of days, they need Flash to work with their existing products so that they can plan a switch to AIR in the future.
