It depends on the slot - they are not all the same.

For example, on the slot this thread is about, Mega Fortune, if you bet higher then you have a better chance of a bigger win on the bonus wheel. The same is probably true of all slots where you need to get certain symbols on the reels to trigger the bonus feature.

But on randomly triggered bonus features (like on MG's Mega Moolah and TDK, for example), betting higher increases your chances of getting to the jackpot wheel, but when you spin that wheel you have the same chance of winning the jackpot as someone who got there from minimum bets.

It's all pro-rata. Think of it as buying lottery tickets - the more tickets you buy, the better your chances of winning are.
But... even at maximum bets, your chances of getting the top jackpot are still millions to one against!

Regarding free spins (or free game rounds). It has been discussed on this forum lately and it is not possible to win the jackpot with free spins given out by casinos (as Andy from Redbet clarified for us).
