In a shock concession to liberalization, Saudi Prince Shubtill II announced today that the first ever Casino in the kingdom will be built in Mecca commencing September 2015.
"Like Dubai we need to make plans for when oil runs out or demand falls due to alternative eco-energy schemes. In a nation with bugger-all else aside from sand, our one asset like the UAE is the weather. We need to create tourism-based income so will be building a gaming resort here. As it's no secret that we all go on the piss and gamble when in Western cities like London, this means we can now bring a Vegas-style gaming metropolis to the desert."
When asked if he feared reprisals from Islamic State, he said:
