Mansion Casino

I did not even know it was possible to send documents/letters by post nowadays...That's SO '90s :p

Didn't Mansion, just get put on the "No can do list" As they are not willing to talk to third parties.

When I read "by post" I immediately thought "why would they want you to send your docs in a forum post?" (yea stupid i know but whatever). Wow, it never crossed my mind until I read the above post that..."post" means post office - mail. That's an odd way to request the information. I probably would be to lazy to play there.

That was funny! "In a forum post"......:lolsign:

Mansion casino asked me to send notarized documents by post. Has this happened to you?

I played there last year and was asked to send regular docs via email and they were approved really fast too. I do hear that now more PT casinos asking for notarized docs to be mailed to the Phillipins. I also did receive email not too long ago about ownership change, it was from casino.com and they used to be the same company, not sure about now.

WTH?? How hard would it be for some disreputable employee (or someone in the post office doing a 'security check') to make duplicates/fakes of docs in hand? My god... it's bad enough sending all personal and financial info via unsecure email...

I'm not saying Mansion is trying to rip anyone off... it's just... I mean... there has got to be a better way to verify players. (I know... PV will pop up now LOL) The industry and regulators (hah!) need to get their heads together and come up with some verification standards that don't put a player's ID at such unwarranted risk.

/end rant

It's just as bad, if not worse, when sending documents via email, only to be told they have been "lost" and to "send them again".

It looks like many of these Playtech casinos are a kind of "white label" being run by this company in the Philipines on behalf of their owner/investors. Since this company also runs the other Playtech "white label" operations, they have their own "central database" of players throughout their network, thus we have the "Playtech blacklist" where players are told they are guilty of "bonus abuse" the minute they sign up at a new Playtech casino, and wonder just how they could possibly know purely from that registration information given that Playtech themselves have said no such network blacklist of bonus players exists.

A large number of Playtech casinos have asked players to post documents to the Philipines, rather than to their own registered offices where they are licensed. This suggests that there are not really their offices at all, but merely a maildrop of convenience to give them a legal presence in the jurisdiction where they are licensed. This means that there are no actual office staff available to process documents for verification, nor even to forward them on to the Philipines behind the scenes. Mail received at these offices is probably forwarded, and probably NOT to a place that can handle documents, as the company in the Philipines can.

This company in the Philipines probably has player data from these casinos in any case, even when documents have been sent by email.

Notarized documents? That's a bit much, isn't it? It's not like you're buying a house, lol. At any rate, that's too much for me to bother with, not to mention the cost involved (at least here in Canada). I'd go elsewhere.
