When I read "by post" I immediately thought "why would they want you to send your docs in a forum post?" (yea stupid i know but whatever). Wow, it never crossed my mind until I read the above post that..."post" means post office - mail. That's an odd way to request the information. I probably would be to lazy to play there.
Mansion casino asked me to send notarized documents by post. Has this happened to you?
I played there last year and was asked to send regular docs via email and they were approved really fast too. I do hear that now more PT casinos asking for notarized docs to be mailed to the Phillipins. I also did receive email not too long ago about ownership change, it was from casino.com and they used to be the same company, not sure about now.
WTH?? How hard would it be for some disreputable employee (or someone in the post office doing a 'security check') to make duplicates/fakes of docs in hand? My god... it's bad enough sending all personal and financial info via unsecure email...
I'm not saying Mansion is trying to rip anyone off... it's just... I mean... there has got to be a better way to verify players. (I know... PV will pop up now LOL) The industry and regulators (hah!) need to get their heads together and come up with some verification standards that don't put a player's ID at such unwarranted risk.
