low-variance wagering system?

"Bonus whores" ... keep on reading that everywhere ... Is that some kind of negative thing to be called a "bonus whore"???

Really, who's doing that successfully here? At different online casinos? Coz I understand, it's usually a one-bonus-account per household rule everywhere too, right?

I first saw "bonus whore" on Connecto's casino and it tickled me to no end. Now I use it when I can just because I think it's funny.

I've been very successful as a "bonus whore" for the last year and a half. I've personally played over 130 different online casinos and have gross profits in the low 5-figure range. Also, that gross profit is a little less than twice my deposits, including returning for monthlies and reload offers.

Granted, it's more difficult to find good bonus offers now than it was a year and a half ago, but it seems like I can always find a new one here and there if I search hard enough.

Lately, I play the monthlies more as well.

I just looked for the WR's at Peach for the monthly. You happen to know what they are?

Peach's WR are 30X the bonus money, or 30 times $90 (if you put the max in) for a total WR of $2700. Do realize that Peach only gives the monthly bonus on your second and subsequent deposits. I've heard of some people not knowing that when they make their first deposit and complaining about not getting the bonus.

Thank you...But, I think I WILL stay away from there.
I don't trust them. :(

Are the above messages from a fan of Stanford Wong or from Stanford Wong himself.

Remember the little quote from the old bj 21 progression forums which I can't remember word for word but it was something like this...

Progressions are entertaining, but they don't change the outcome.

Having said that, bonus hunting already makes it a positive EV situation, and therefore, perhaps progressions are of value, since they allow the wagering req's to be met faster.

Speaking of blackjack, I have becoem quite good at the K-O unbalanced count. Using that at the Borgata in AC gives me an advantage of ~.73% and I can use my comp card as well (at the $10 tables 6 deck) with no heat whatsoever.

Hi Dave,

Mr. Wong would never post Oscar. I think he would wonder what the point was. When I registered here I needed a name different than my ID on other boards and one I would remember. I had Wong's book on my desk and just thought it would be an easy one to remember. I really didn't think many people would make the connection. I find the blackjack communities to be much different than the online communities.

Congrats on your Mastery of KO. I have that book also. Good thing it wasn't on my desk at the time. Not sure CasinoMeister would like me calling myself "Fuchs" ;-).

I think I would change the name now if I could. Seems almost sacrilegious sense the connection is being made. Remember Harvard Chu? He was on the old progression page you mentioned.

Progressions change the distributions of dollars won and lost. There is some application for certain online situations. It really depends on the player circumstance. I dont mind taking a fair gamble so I tend not to mind losing the bonus or the deposit for that matter. I think progressions are a tad more fun.

Thats a sweet deal you have in Atlantic City.

Good luck,
Stanford

There seem to be a few of us that post here and at bj21.com My handle stays the same but I post more here. There I am a student, here it's quite different.

Stanford, I agree with almost everything you've said.

Nevertheless, its not a sweet deal at Borgata.

You see, they have my photo in thier surveillance database.
Sure they tolerate me on a $10 min table, because they know me, and they like me (I tip), and I bring friends there. However, if I were to play for larger stakes, it doesn't matter how much they like me, they would start with the countermeasures like half shoeing me, or maxing me out at 4x my starting bet, and other crap like that, which I've seen them do to 2 other friends of mine there. You might thing pref shuffling should be illegal, but the supervisors in the $25 and above game know how to count too, and all of a sudden ask for the shuffle just when the count is good.

To be honest its impossible to make any real money there, and even though in AC its illegal to ban counters from the casino, they have EFFECTIVELY banned me anyway except at the lower min tables.

A few months ago I spoke to one of the top bosses there, who told me point blank that my business wasn't welcome there. He also told me that unlike Vegas, they can't throw me out of the joint, but that I don't have a chance in hell of making any money there, since no matter what hat a put on or what clothes I wear, they'll always know its me. I explained to him my whole family and all my friends play there, and that even though I might make a little money here and there, that those folks are long term losers (from a financial standpoint), and the casino should be a little more tolerant of folks like me. It was at that point he offered to let me count at the $10 tables (either 6 or 8 decks), as long as I showed my comp card, and there would be no countermeasures.

So there's some kind of special memo on my acct which says not to sweat my action at the $10 game. Nevertheless, they have alerted surveillance every time I've been there. Also, if I don't recognize the "floor", I don't play, since chances are they'll start with the countermeasures anyway.

I used to play the high-low count there, but I was a little overwhelmed in figuring out the true count. The KO system is far superior, since I can play for hours without going nuts. Even with KO I am usually dizzy by the end of a 4 hour session.
