Brutal game lil devil but it can deliver.

Average cost in my experience (and I played it a lot on release on min stake) is about 200-500 x for the build.

If you don’t hit those features on the way up the game does very little else in the base. The very rare double wild land aside.

I always go gates of hell feature on the build but the multiplier one on the enhanced.

The purple hearts hardly ever landing on the enhanced gates of hell anyway, making it pretty much a normal feature.

I believe the reel analysis thread on this suggested the very same.

If I find some time in the next week I will take a closer look at that and generate some stats. I think average number of spins to get heartstopper bonus along with median return of either bonus on normal and heartstopper would be interesting.

When they first became available for random awards, they did seem to be quite fair and actually did land on the cash prizes, a good while back but I had £50 and £100 a couple of times.

I'm not really a gambling man but with 99% certainty bet my last quid that the math behind these wheels has been tampered with badly.

In relation to Lil Devil (don't play it anymore) I hit 1,000x + with the multiplier enhanced feature very first build. As slots don't have memories, this one must have reverted to the old pen and notepad as ever since it was 30x or below.

At one point you can see I actually had a good run of features in terms of frequency, but they dribbled out with awful pays.

I'm only sticking with this out of sheer bloody-mindedness at this point, there is no pretence of this being even remotely enjoyable or entertaining, it's just a gruelling slog that I largely leave to do its own thing on my PC whilst I do something that's actually fun on my PS5.

I'll give it one deposit a week until it finally kicks something back.

Best basegame hit remains 77x in 11,452 spins.

And of course that means that my overall RTP on this slot has decreased further.

It's a preposterous maths model for an online slot. What I think is telling is that back in the day of the Viper MG Casino, they never did anything even remotely close to this in terms of volatility, even though there was nothing stopping them. The original incarnation of Immortal Romance was about as spicy as it got, with its billions to one five-reel Wild Desire paying 11,000x stake or whatever it was.

Similarly with 3Dice, there is nothing within a million miles of stuff like Lil Devil on their books. Their 'Gold Plus' volatility model slots, which they mark out specially and make you click through a warning to play, are like being tickled on the tummy by a fluffy teddy bear compared to Lil Devil.

And the reason for that is obvious, the MG Viper Casino back in the day, and 3Dice over the years (up to the present day) are 'closed shop' casinos. They want, and need, the players to lose their money, but ideally that happens slowly over time, and keeps them coming back for more because they want the repeat business, better to take £100 off a player every month for five years, than £1000 over a weekend and piss them off so much that they never play again.

However when it comes to 'shop window' casinos (which is what they all are these days, pretty much), with so many providers clamouring for attention and money, this is far more skewed to taking as much money as possible, as quickly as possible.

Look at somewhere like Tombola, yeah I know they're not exactly the most hi-tech games, but again, they develop all their own stuff and work on a high RTP, low variance model that doesn't seek to leave their players feeling like they've just been kicked in the bollocks, because that's not a good long-term customer service model.

I've made my peace with my quest on Lil Devil, it does at least have a solid RTP, and eventually it's going to spit out a big win, although with each passing week the chances of me ever getting my money back, let alone into profit, fade further away - but given enough time it'll cough something back.

At that point I'll reassess the landscape I think, I'm starting to feel quite wistful about the long extended sessions I regularly got at 3Dice, maybe a return to those days might be in order!

Well it's not a monster, but in the current climate, I'll take it!

381x round total from the enhanced dynamite feature, the double wilds actually working for once with some premium 6OAKs.

Well what a fucking shocker. After getting that 381x from the enhanced round, I then didn't get a SINGLE BONUS for the entire climb to the next enhanced round (all 40 hearts), and my balance dropped 544x in the process, over the course of 85 minutes. (So on a straight £100 deposit, on 20p spins, I'd have bust out without a single bonus.)

I've been playing online slots for a long time and I haven't seen anything remotely close to the insane maths models that BTG have on their HV slots.

In fairness the enhanced bonus paid sort of OK (192x), but it really is two steps forward and then three steps back.

The loss was significant but not as bad as before but still around the 400x mark but only thanks to a double wild land in the base which was just shy of 200x (still to date my biggest base hit) and believe me I’ve dwarfed chops play through on it so far.

I then moved up to 30p and the feature finally landed about 3 hearts in. Which predictably paid fuck all.

Remember this is the only BTG game that can REALLY pay.

Have you ever had a retrigger or a stack on it?

I'm starting to rack up a modestly decent number of features now, and I've yet to get a retrigger (scatters) on the dynamite round, and still haven't had a stack on any reel in the angel round. (i.e. 2 or 5 which would just be a retrigger, or 3/4 which make the multiplier stack and also retrigger.)

Even on 'just' £1 spins you could be sinking thousands and thousands into this thing before it kicked anything substantial back, the 20p spins I'm on have already racked up a few hundred in losses.

I note VS have capped it at £2 per play, which gives you an idea of where they're comfortable with their exposure to it being limited at!

Also the thing I've been most disappointed in I think, is the lack of hits in the basegame, I had some hope that those wilds would do a bit more work on at least a semi-regular basis to take some of the sting out of the tail of the waits for features, and how shit they can pay.

I appreciate there's only so much RTP to go around, but I think they could have balanced it out a bit more with a donation of some RTP to 50-200x basegame hits that'd keep you going a bit better.

The enhanced bonus climb is not worth the effort, I played this constantly for years and it generally cost around a 300-500x bet loss per 40 hearts without any bonus triggers and pays no more than a standard bonus and a lot of times less due to no scatters triggering it.

Buying bonuses at a crypto site was a real eye opener, the first three buys are standard bonuses then the enhanced bonus is triggered on the forth buy and after that enhanced bonus is triggered every second buy all at a cost of 85xbet per buy.
Which tells me there is nothing really enhanced about the bonus at all if it can be triggered so frequently and at the same cost.

Of the four 'enhanced bonuses' I bought one was around 40x and the rest were between 3-10x bet, every standard bonus paid better. Playing at minimum bet a with 40 euro balance, before I bust out, I managed to buy 10 bonuses in all.
