Liberty Slots Casino & English Harbour Similarities

Today, I received an email from a group called "Liberty Slots Casino" stating that they were
a "new" online casino on the block and offering me a free $25 ND chip upon registration.

I'm a little hesitant to sign up, based on the fact that I know nothing of this "new" online
casino and who they are operated under/jurisdiction, especially an RTG platform.

Anyways, I visited the site to try to do a little more sleuthing and noticed that their
website looked strikingly familiar to one of my all time favorite casinos English Harbour...
Could there be a connection between the two? Or is this a blatant rip-off of the originator.

Seems to be using Vegas Tech software too...interesting. Not much upfront information on the site though.

Do you know if they take u.s.player? I never won at vegas tech casinos but enjoyed their

I awoke to find the email in my box too. I decided to be a guinea pig and try it out. :eek: I was able to download and install. To get the freebie, you are supposed to register and forward them the email, which I did but they say they can't find a record of my personal bonus code in their database and they will get back to me. Looks exactly the same as English Harbour, definitely the same software.

If I read the t&c's correct, the max cashout on a freebie is $50.00 but yet it states further down the minimum cashout is $100.00. :eek2: I can't find anything about playthrough.

I did find this in line 26 of the t&c's, which is quite interesting.
"If a Player's account remains unused for a period of six months, the Company reserves the right to close the account and confiscate any funds remaining in the account. Accounts that are inactive for six months or longer will in any event be charged a monthly administration fee of $25, which may be increased from time to time. "
 
Something else interesting from the faq.
"How long have you been in business and where are you licensed?
Our casinos have been in business since 1997 and is licensed for gaming in Antigua."
 
They credited me the $25.00, no luck although it did last a while on smaller bets of course.

I'm in no hurry to deposit until we get some feedback.

I wonder is this a backdoor way to not pay affiliates or if there are other funny stuff going on.
 
I wonder if it's that group of vegas tech casinos that were'nt part of the english
Harbor family. They were thes not paying their affiliates. I think one of them
Was called crazyslots. If it is that group then I definitely would'nt play there.
 
Crazyslots is moved to Playtech and the Casino is GoldenPalace. I have depositet yesterday 150usd, but not can withdraw (no balance left)... (not one freespin or bonus in one game)... I dont known pays or not, another one make a deposit? (and have more luck than i)
 
Goldencasino was the US entity of goldenpalace, though they allowed both US and european players play there. Goldencasino ceased operation (atleast im not allowed to visit the site, just redirects to goldenpalace, but it might be due to im from europe), and they transferred the european players to goldenpalace.

The similarities with libertyslots are with englishharbour, not the goldencasino group. The only similarity with goldencasino is the software. The website looks exactly like english harbour website, and yes i think its a rip off because the outdated tournaments page talks about summar slots series II from last summer (was held at englishharbour).
 
I sure would be interested when and if somebody gets a payout from them, especially a U.S. player getting a w/d via check or wire. I didn't see anything on their sight about 3rd party audits, maybe I just missed it. They surely know about Casinomeister, I wish a rep would hit the forum to answer some questions because I would like to play there.

Exactly, email all the customers from english harbour and there sister casinos, Make everyone resign up, and cut out affs.
 
@ the people getting promotional emails from this casino out of the blue - were you players of the English Harbor group??

If so, have any affiliates been contacted yet? Or maybe they have forgotten to email their affiliate email database. :rolleyes: It would be bad if they messed up here.

I'll check the recent sign ups to see if their is a casino rep. I believe some of us have some burning questions.

In the meantime, I would suggest all players to refrain from patronizing this casino.

Checked the data base - most recent i-Gaming reps signing up: IGT, PaddyPower and SlotoCash. No one from Libertyslots - and no requests to join the i-Gaming reps from older members either.

Looks like someone forgot to do this too. :rolleyes:
 
I am sure that at one time I signed up at English Harbor but never deposited there. I know it's been a year or two since I signed up there.

As far as Liberty Slots, I also could have cashed out but didn't want to go thru all the headache for a $100 withdrawal so just thought of it as play money and eventually lost it. CS was very nice though. I read the T&C's and didn't like some of them too much.

And even without the warning, I wouldn't deposit there until proven to be a good casino.

I was registered with English Harbour. The promotional email I received from Liberty Slots was sent to
a different email address that I never used for English Harbour, for what it's worth.

Thanks. I was wondering if anyone had a "unique" email address that was used at EH, but then used by LibertySlots. That would considered a major eff-up.

There does seem to be something fishy nevertheless.

The casino is supposedly in prelaunch, yet potential players are receiving emails "out of the blue".

What is interesting here is that in order to claim the free bonus, CS have to be sent the email and check their own internal database to retrieve the "code". This means the CASINO have obtained a list of players' personal details from somewhere, and are using this to generate this list of "invited guests" for the pre-launch phase.

One obvious concern is that either English Harbour or this other group sold players' details as well as company assets, and alongside this the Vegas Technology software was sold.

The two websites are merely similar, but look more closely and you will see EXACT rip-offs from English Harbour.

The most exact of these is the "fancy scroll" design in the middle of the line separating the bottom third of the picture from the rest. Only the top one is used on the Liberty slots site, but it isn't merely "similar", it is an EXACT copy. The casino chip is also strikingly similar, with the differences not being sufficient to avoid accusations of copyright violations. It is similar to the case of Jackpots Heaven thinking that making a few tweaks here and there, such as removing Thor's helmet & changing the colour pallete, meant it was OK for them to offer MGS games like Thunderstruck.

This all suggests that this is not simply a brand new casino launching with the software as licensed out by it's new owner. Other observations support the theory that they simply copied the EH website, and then set about changing it to suit. Unfortunately, they missed some bits out, leaving behind a pretty damning trail of evidence such as showing the old tournaments page from EH, which has absolutely no relevance to Liberty Slots, and is unlikely to have been put there by any other means than a direct copy of the whole website, and then forgetting to remove all the irrelevant links and pages before uploading everything to their webserver.

EH may have nothing to do with this, and their site may have been nicked simply because they had stopped trading, and it was simply left lying around on the internet. With no company behind it, there is also no-one around to take action over the copyright issue, thus a very good chance to get away with a cost saving shortcut, and no need to spend money designing their own site from scratch.

It could be this other group, not EH, that have supplied their player data to Liberty Slots. Players receiving this offer on an address that they have never used for EH should note which casinos they HAVE used it for, or even whether they have used it when signing up at any websites or forums. It is also worth quizzing Liberty Slots CS to see how much they REALLY know about you as their "invited guest", as maybe all they have got is an email list, but are pretending you have somehow been personally selected to try them out in this "prelaunch" phase, which could simply be their ACTUAL launch strategy - tell a load of random players they have been "specially selected", make then feel special, and therefore much more likely to take up the offer. In short, a bog-standard spamming campaign.

There's more information about this place over at affiliateguarddog.com. some of the people are blacklisting this casino because they contacted old eh players, but want to start a brand new affiliate program.

Perhaps I missed the info? Who owns/runs this outfit? Are they simply EH, etc., with a sloppily concocted new face? Have the EH group been bought out (totally new owners)? What about the VT software? Is it still doing business as usual after 'losing' casinos? If EH (and sister casinos) are still around, and VT is still in business, or have been bought out, why haven't players been paid that were left holding the bag when EH shut down?

I am quite confused. :confused:

Edited to add: I had accounts at just about all EH casinos, and I don't think I've received any Liberty Slots emails.

And just as an aside, what does happen to all our personal and financial info when a casino closes its doors?

Damn good questions but I doubt we'll ever get the answers. If they wanted to be transparent they have a lousy start at it.

You already busted them with your opening post. Even if an affiliate does provide answers these must be taken with a grain of salt. Its better to trust your own instincts.
 
There's an entire thread about this place on affiliateguarddog. They claimed to have bought a player list from a third party. Some of the affiliates are now blacklisting them because they want to start a whole new affiliate program but contacted a lot of the ple eh players.

I'm a player not an affiliate. I'm the customer at the restaurant that ordered what I expect to be a good dish.
Affiliates are the hosts that took my reservation and seated me. The casinos are the owners/managers. Customer Service
could be the chefs.

What I'm trying to say is that I really don't care much how the restaurant is paying the hosts, Or the drama that is
going on in the restaurant... I just care if the dish I ordered is served in a timely manner, is safe to eat, and tastes good...

IMHO, the more affiliates an online casino has the more contradictions occur about that said online casino. Look at the attacks
that Liberty Slots has had due to affiliates emotions. We have not yet seen any occurrences that the casino did not pay an eligible winner.
 
Just an FYI that their affiliate manager has signed up in the forum, and he'll be (hopefully) answering everyone's questions.
