Think i had 250 bonus rounds now with one set of 5 extra spins. Probably 40+ of them bonus rounds being one from a wild line but never extra spins. Lame!

An 8 hour session last night (or morning, if you include the finishing time )
Probably paranoid from watching the reels spin to much, but can't help but think that when this slot is crap during many a few crappy sessions on it, with few bonuses and no big base game hits, suddenly during that crap session i keep noticing the top 4 symbols rolling in on a line with one symbol missing by just one section of the reel so the win becomes 3 of a kind big symbol or 0 win. It was really pissing me off last night, where i had 2 small deposits at 2 different places, the first was a horrendous session where it was hard to get 2 scatters. the bonus round taking upto an hour to come in of which during that session i must have counted those top 2 paying symbols (badges & gun holster belt thingymabob) dropping into that ' ahhh so close, what a tease, if that symbol in the middle had just landed one square up it would be 5OAK ' like nearly 100 times. One time it was 6x in a row with top 4 paying symbols that did it.
Just find myself saying ' thanks ' every 5 minutes on shitty sessions, cause it seems to happen during those. grrrr. The gun holsters seem to be the biggest culprit of delivering the required symbol for 5OAK out of position by just one space. Bloomin bastard doesn't seem to do the same teases with the boomin J's though does it. No, those f****** things are suddenly magnetic only during a bonus round when you have 4 wilds any many spins to go. Now you dirty little J's can appear 4 times in a row in the same place for 4x 5OAK jacks. Why not just make J's sticky as well you filthy bas...

Then i go and deposit somewhere else, roughly same amount, and the session lasted ages. going into profit on & off. hitting 5OAK of sheriff badges & gun holster thingymabobs like 4/5 times. Barely seeing the near misses of those symbols that were thrown in like crazy on the previously dead session ( and seemingly many dead sessions), & since the 'better' session lasted much longer, like 5.5 hours compared to 2hrs of the dire session, one would think that one should have seen them a fair bit

That's a very good point Jon. I've noticed this on DOA and on most MG slots as well. Also on the scatters that very often just miss the vital one, Playboy is particularly good at this. Away from MG our friend the Rhino is also very good at just missing the third diamond. Have you noticed this?

I saw somewhere that just missing a win line/feature is more powerful for the player psychologically that an actual hit. I know that I get the feeling that it's going to come in after a near miss and am more likely to keep going, even though if I was rational about it I would realise that this isn't necessarily the case!

Cheers Jon. Yes, would agree with all of your observations. With the Leopards I've also noticed that I regularly get stacked Leopards on reels 2-6, with none on 1. Also regularly a diamond on reels 1 & 6 only. I've also noticed that when I play with higher stakes I see more single and 2 diamonds in normal play, which I think again is a psychological ploy to keep you playing. Also very regular are stacked rhinos on reels 2-6, but none on reel one. Also rhinos on reels 1 & 2, none on 3 and then stacked on reels 4-6!

Back to DOA I've only relatively recently been playing this. It's obviously lower variance than some of the MG ones, but can have dead spells! Still no wild lines in bonus play yet. I've even had a couple of bonuses when no wilds turned up at all!

Have you thought about doing things the other way around? playing small stakes first and then increasing.
A lot of my biggest wildline wins have dropped in quite quickly after I've increased my stake. Admittedly only from 18p/27p to 45p/90p.
Maybe it's the change in stake which is making a difference, rather than the value of the stake (not that it should, but who knows)

Thought i was going to get a wild line for the second day on the trot.

First screenshot didnt save to my one drive for some reason, but wanted a wild on bottom of reel 1 or middle of reel 5 but it never came

Ended up with 80 odd quid as it gave me 5OAK star and double line of boots.

Never ever ever ever..... ever lower your bet on DOA to minimum bet directly after a bonus round! You will know within 10-15 spins whether there is more coming, either a bonus round again or a 5OAK.

I would be just as frustrated though. Yesterday after getting my CB money at VS i accidentally played the first spin on max. bet of the standard 0,10 denomination when loading the slot, which is 3.60$. No biggie usually but i had only about 25$ CB and my plan was to bet 0.36$, so next spin i lowered it to that and guess what .....double 5OAK Boots on the first spin .... 24$ ..... would have been 240$ on the 3.60$ bet, but the Sheriff said: " no Harry, can't give you that much"

Its a fair point. I can't get that excited about DOA either, maybe because I haven't hit a wild line yet, but I do find it boring and the features pretty infrequent.
