Has anyone received an email from Ladbrokes saying

GET READY SOMETHING NEW IS COMING

Introducing...
A first class gaming experience is on its way to Ladbrokes.
Make sure you touch base with us soon for the grand unveiling.
Our best is about to get better!

I cant copy it in cause I dont know how to remove my personal data.

Any idea what its about

Yep thats it, I hope its nothing to do with them changing platforms, It was mentioned a while back

Need to sort their promotions out first before dreaming up new ideas, outdated emails, missing claim forms, wouldn't expect this from a major betting company/casino.

Have you been having problems there, I have never had problems with their promotions I consider them to be the most generous around

It's why I stopped playing there, was receiving promotion emails after they had ended, claimed bonuses via claim forms only for them to mysteriously disappear. Wasn't worth the hassle when you know you can instantly claim a bonus elsewhere.

yep must admit they should make claiming bonuses easier, waiting 48 hrs for one is a little ridiculous

Yeah as the March 2013 article above that you posted suggests, it's highly likely to be the change of platforms now they've done the Playtech deal. It's going to happen sometime. Although the Vegas thing is odd as Playech don't have any slots you'll find in Vegas. Maybe it's something else...could be another WMS content deal

Oh dear, Sorry but I will not continue playing there if this happens I really don't like playtech

I think it's certain that this is the platform change.

The email shows the word "vegas" coming over the horizon, and in that article:-

The partnership with Playtech, which has already played a big role in the digital growth of rival William Hill, will see the launch of a new "Vegas" tab on Ladbrokes.com later this year.

Now, this could also mean that they will ADD Playtech games, rather than swap platforms, but this presents a difficulty. In the past, it has been common knowledge that Microgaming don't allow an operator of a Viper download casino to also operate casinos from other suppliers. However, Microgaming ARE now allowing their games to be mixed with those of other providers on things like the Quickfire platform. The article also talks of "adding" 200 new games, whereas a straight swap would involve the REMOVAL of some 400+ games (the Viper platform) before adding a mere 200.

It's possible that Ladbrokes have somehow managed to get Microgaming to relax policy and let this plan go through, thus Ladbrokes will be able to add a Playtech casino to it's existing portfolio without the risk of alienating customers of the current Microgaming casino.

After all, the risk is evident in this:-

Things should become clearer soon.

I have a dormant Ladbrokes account (they hate Neteller), so may also start seeing these emails.

I hope you are right and it will be just the case of adding new games, I really like ladbrokes but would definitely not continue playing there if the platform changed all together

Laddies did a deal to carry IGT games on their "games" tab at the end of 2012 but these have been live for some time.

The Playtech system runs on their land based machines and I have personally experienced errors with the games such as balances on a games console that don’t match up with their computer logs in store, that report almost double the balance available and conversely when a TITO slip is used the system simply ignores it and only through the intervention of a person that looks at the genuine slip can it be manually adjusted.

I would expect these issues replicated online as land based machines or internet based ones still need to connect to a central server.

When errors occur the software system is clever enough to just error check a single console or a client online I guess but the time taken is horrendous and a reminder of the days when Windows 95 and a calculator still seemed cool.

I’d gladly like to be corrected by a representative from Ladbrokes over this issue but with one criterion and that is whilst the system reboots the person listens to the linked song with me and holds my hand and dances with me with a convincing happy smile.

If Ladbrokes are just going to add a new tab with the playtech games I don't see anything wrong with that - I'd like to see them go the whole hog and get NetEnt & WMS too, that would be a great casino ... !

It's live and as predicted, it's Playtech (they've kept the MG casino, for now anyway...sensible). Seems a tad odd they'd call it "Vegas" when they have no Vegas games...well, slots anyway but hey. Overall it has to be an improvement.

from ladbrokes

"Ladbrokes is ready to launch a brand new gaming experience called Vegas, powered by Playtech offering numerous flash casino games such as Roulette, Blackjack and slots.

The new Vegas section is due to be launched this week,......."

Had an email of laddies, looks like they are getting rid of MG :(, email said The vegas tab will eventually replace the old casino. I am so peed of over this and saddened that I will have to leave my fav casino

Just had some clarification, the old casino will stay until March and then they are not sure what will happen as they are still in negotiations

Net Entertainment strikes partnership deal with online gaming operator Ladbrokes

Net Entertainment has signed a partnership agreement with one of the world’s leading betting and gaming enterprises, Ladbrokes. Under the terms of the agreement Net Entertainment will supply the operator with a selection of online desktop and mobile games.

“We are very happy that Ladbrokes has selected Net Entertainment as supplier for a selection of our best in class portfolio games to be distributed over their online market channels. Ladbrokes is one of the most reputable operators in the UK, and we are confident that our content will be well received by Ladbroke’s player base,” comments Björn Krantz, Chief of GMO and MD Net Entertainment Malta Ltd.

“Net Entertainment’s exposure in the UK has increased significantly over the past year, which is in line with our strategic plan to build up a solid and long term business venture together with our UK partners. Ladbrokes will initially launch with a few of Net Entertainments best in class games, which will gradually grow over time. This deal will further strengthen our position in the UK, and solidifies the trust and confidence our partners have in our operational, and technology leadership,” Krantz concludes.

“We have made clear our pledge to work with best-of-breed suppliers and Net Entertainment certainly fits into this category,” Richard Poole, Head of Product, Ladbrokes eGaming.

I'm buzzed to see they are getting NetEnt, but it will be a big shame if they get rid of MGS... maybe they will just start using the quickfire games like Stan James ?

At the moment though Ladbrokes is the only "big name" where you can play MGS blackjack and video poker so I'd like to see it stay that way... though I do tend to play those at 32 red mostly these days, I had some amazing luck at ladbrokes back when I first started playing on-line

Ladbrokes are arguably the biggest bookies over here, certainly the biggest household name.

This is MASSIVE news for NetEnt. Massive.

As well as the very well received games/slots - NetEnt are obviously doing something right in the back office/sales department too.
