Issues about Random Jackpot in Bodog

RTGZ

Hi Mike-

That could only mean either bodog's Random jackpots are too fast, or iNetBet's RJs are too slow

I'm a fan of both casinos. I've been playing at BODog lots more these days.

But since you mention it- I've scracted my head over the RAPID speed the RJ's go up at BoDog too!

I've wondered if the "boys" in the office are'nt playing to pump um up!?? No disrespect to BoDog- they pay and have great support.

They remind me of "The Palms" of online casinos, young, hip.....

Another very misterious thing happens also on RJs, but not only on Bodog, even on iNetBet, because i've seen this yet!

The Jackpot grows up to about $ 17,300 and very shortly after that he goes down to $ 17,280, so how could this be?

This is not so extreme, because i've seen also one time, that the jackpot goes down even nearly $ 400 (i think it was from $ 14,600 to $ 14,200 or so) and this is really very confusing.
I'm going to take a guess at the answer to this.

When you go into a game, I think it polls the server to get the current jackpot amount, and also what the average rate of increase is (such as $0.01 per second, $0.05 per second or $1.50 per second). Then, the casino client (the software installed on your computer) probably increases the amount displayed on your screen by that increment every second - whether or not it is still an accurate amount.

If you leave the game and come back, you'll probably get the true amount again as the starting value, which could be lower if the average increment is now lower because some high-roller left the game.

The reason they probably do it this way is to not over-stress the servers. If you had a true, live update every second or half-second, for every player, the servers (as well as your own net connection) could easily get bogged down.

That's just my guess as to why that happens.

That coul really be, because when you start a game, the first seconds the jackpot doesn't go up, but when you go shoprtly after this in the cashier, or lobby and after that you go back to the slot, the jackpot is a little bit higher and as you said, when you play a while and the jackpot grows up and you hit (as an example) a feature with free spins and you win very much and you go after this also back to the lobby, after comming back to the slot, the jackpot is a little down.
However, nobody can know this really exactly, except RTG self ;)

Again a very misterious example from Bodog.

Today was a jackpot about $ 25,000 hitted on the Slot "Paris Beauty", on which one was the Jackpot one week before only about $ 10,000, so the Jackpot grows up with $ 15,000 within only one week and this even on a Slot, which is not really so much played, i think?

Could this really be?

Now the jackpot from paris beauty is again up to $ 1,800 within only 5 hours and Cleopatra's Gold from $ 10,000 to now about $ 12,000

Are there really so much players, that the jackpots can grow up so fast?
