It's not a complain, but only a fact, that the RJ @ bodog goes up very high and this happens always very fast.

I always thought, that iNetBet have the most players and there the jackpots goes up ca. $ 100-200 a day, but on bodog the jackpots on the most slots goes up about more $ 1,000

Like yesterday on goldbeard, i started playing with them, as the jackpot was on $ 16,700 and 12 hours later the jackpot was up to $ 20,000 so i think, there is something a little misterious, because normally the jackpot is taken from 1% from the players deposit, so that means, that there must be one player which plays always with a $ 100 bet, or 5 players with a $ 20 bet, or 50 with a $ 2 bet, at the same time and without any pause, because the jackpot was always run up and every 5 seconds he was up $ 1 more, so there is really something very misterious.

On iNetBet are surely also very much players and i think even more, than on bodog, but the jackpots goes up very slow, although i think, that there are much players (as an example) now on Aladdin's Wishes, because the jackpot is about $ 16,400, but he goes up very slow.

That could only mean either bodog's Random jackpots are too fast, or iNetBet's RJs are too slow ;)

Btw. have anyone won a jackpot on bodog, because on their side is even not a any winner list and that's also not normal!

The other night in "fun play" I saw the RJ jump several hundred dollars in the blink of an eye. I put it down to a fun play thing, but chatting to Spear and he said it might be catching up with people spinning at $100 - being fun play and all.

From what you are saying it happens in normal mode too and I can't imagine that many people play at $100. I guess the higher the better for us players but it is an interesting observation Mike.

I was hoping that RTG might provide the casinos with Random Jackpot feeds that one could create a site around, like the normal progressives, monitoring the RJ's but apparently they don't. Shame because the majority of RJ's are "local" to each casino so it would provide a nice reference to see which casino had the highest RJ at any given time on a particular game. iNetBet have a page that shows RJ counters but this is updated manually on the odd occasion.

and that's exactly why i am so suspicious!

also an example.

Aladdin's Wishes RJ was hit about $ 9,000 and 5 hours later he was again hit about $ 3,000 and the next day he was again about $ 5,000 and a short time after that he was also hitted!

That was 2 weeks ago, but i can't believe that so many player make $ 100 bets at the same time and without any break!

It's possible that the RJ's may be made up from "all bets" aggregated across all the games, and not just based on the play of one game Mike.

Yes and if you get any jackpot, you will be listet on their newsletter side (recent winners), so everything is okay and this is really very trustable, but the same bodogthing i've seen on CWC.
Okay not sooo extreme, but Aladdin's Wishes is now available 2 weeks, because this slot was away for an update (graphic error) and now the RJ is up on $ 7,429 !

Okay, it's not so fast as on bodog, but i can't believe, that on bodog and CWC are more players as on iNetBet, because iNetBet allows also US Players to gamble, or not? and btw. they give better bonuses and their payouts are also the fastest one!

very misterious!

I don't think so, because if it's really so, then must all RJs go up so fast, or not?

But this is only on some video slots, at most the same one, which are certainly were most played.

I see this on Cleopatra's Gold, Goldbeard, Diamond Dozen, Honey to the Bee and Aladdin's Wishes.

Diamaond Dozen was hit on Sunday with an abou $ 14,000 RJ and Honey to the Bee with about $ 13,000 and the RJs went both very fast up, because one day before they had only(?) a nearly about $ 10,000 RJ

Its a very interesting observation Mike and Simmo - Ive often wondered about this myself.

One conclusion I arrived at is that maybe the casino can set the % amount of each bet within certain parameters (in fact I think an ex-RTG employee once intimated that on these forums) - so maybe Bodog has a higher % contribution to the jackpot from each bet. It would be a good move my a casino, given that player will invest more if the jackpots are generally higher, even though the chances of winning one at $1500 are technically the same as winning one at $20k.

Maybe Emily might have some input on this one?

That could be, but i don't think so, because the jackpot goes sometimes really so fast up, that you can't see the last two digits.

Sometimes it every 2-3 seconds up to $ 1 and that's really too much.

But at the other side their payouts percentage are not really high, because i've deposited yesterday $ 300 and it went away within 12 hours and on iNetBet or CWC i can play with this money surely some days, i think.

Normally i play with $ 100 very easy about 1 full day without any loosing, but certainly it can be also a lucky day :)

I've wrote bodog's support an email about their server problems, because today i need always between 1-2 minutes for only 1 spin and i also asked them about the Random Jackpot, how it works and how it could be, that the jackpots go so fast to such a high balance, but i only get a response for their server problems, but my question about the RJ issues, was not answered! :(

I just wanted to add that INETBET random jackpots are totally legit...in the past I have won 3 random jackpots at inetbet and I was paid too, I have never played at bodog so I cannot comment on them...my advice is play where you get paid.

Yes i know this, because i've also won 2 jackpots about $ 10,000 in May 2007 within 2 weeks and get paid within only 15 hours, so i know certainly, that they are trustable and that's why i have these issues about bodog.

Hi Guys,

The % contribution to the jackpots cannot be changed.
The reason that some jackpots go up faster could be for a number of reasons. The simplest explanation is down to the usage or if there is a high percentage of higher bet players.

This can especially be seen when some of the jackpots get quite large and more people decide to play them. Or if there are a number of people playing for $100 a spin, The Jackpots will thus go up faster.

Another reason could be that RTG have introduced linked progressives. So an operator can, if they so wish, link some of the house progressives together. e.g. They may link Cleo, Goldbeard and Hillbillies etc. This may be the reason why some of the jackpots are increasing faster at other casinos. You would need to check through and see if there were any Jackpots at the same levels.

I hope that this clarifies things for you.

Best Regards

thanks inetbet!!

Wonderful customer service as usual :)

I'm surprised Bodog hasnt stated that the jackpots are linked (if in fact they are)....so maybe there are some whales at Bodog.

I also think linking may not be a bad idea, as it would mean bigger and more frequent jackpots.

never. Bodog is by far the biggest RTG. in my opinion, the betting volume on Bodog is at least 10 to 20 times higher compared to the next competitor, like Inetbet. thats the reason, why RJ's on Bodog are growing much faster.

For brand recognition, many people who have never even considered online gaming know of the bodog name and 'legacy' in the US. I'd wager they are far ahead in market share of any RTG in the states.

What is it with customer support and multiple questions - at seemingly ALL casinos? Are they instructed to only answer 1 question per email? Yesterday I emailed a casino with 3 questions. Their reply only answered the first one. I emailed again with the other 2, and again, their reply only answered the first one. A third email with the third question got me the answer to that one. Wouldn't it be easier for all parties involved to just read and answer them all?

It really looks like so, but that's not a good service, because it looks like, that they ignore my questions and this is not a good customer support :(
