Hiya: This was inspired by the comments Nichols made, "You have to listen to the players, it would be crazy not to".

So, You are starting a brand New Casino, what do you do now? I look at it like Managing Apartments. Most people who walk in the door did not spend the last month sleeping on the street, or in the back of their car, or living with their parents, or just moving into the area with their U-Haul. Some did. So, where did the vast majority come from? They came from Other Apartments. For some reason, they were either asked to leave, or left on their own. "For a Reason".

9 of 10 Gambles who decide to download Casino XYZ, fall into the same catagory. They left another Casino, or, are looking for a better one, and will leave their current one later. Thus, they are at the new Casino home page, "For a Reason".

My goal as an Apartment Manager was simple. "I will kick you out, but you are not going to leave". Kind of like, "I will fire you, but i won't let you quit".
The Casino should have the same theroy. "We will bann bonus abusers, chargebackers, ect, but we are not going have people close their accounts".

So, you open up. You are on the first page of Google, Yahoo, Alta Vista , and the like. How do you Steal the other players from the other 1056 on line casinos? and, How do you keep them, once they open an acct?

imhop:
1. Think like a Player. What do you like, what would you do, would you accept that bonus offer, would you deposit via the options available in the banking area, How long would you wait, "max" to get paid? If you would not like something, then neither will players downloading your casino.

2. Get on the Message Boards. Weather we admit it or not, there are players at casinos who choose, "That" casino because they had a Rep. on the board they visit. It is one thing to tell CS in chat, "I will send a e mail to your manager, vs "That is OK, i will just PM your CS Rep, insert name here, on the Forum, just like he said to do if we have any proabelms".

3. The Casino, Its support/staff/policy, and so on, is a lot more important than the software it uses. Look at 3 dice as example. There are players looking for a reason to leave, as RTG software is taking a pounding right now. But their is no Max Exoudous? Why? Because the Casino is not going to just let you leave without trying to stop you, "in a good type of way".

4. Ask/Demand, to be put to the test. Get Webmasters/affiliates/vet players involved. Build your initial customer base from established Players, ect, and they will do the work for you. First Impression is EVERYTHING.

5. Rember all those players at your homepage? You know, the ones from other Casinos? What did those other Casino's do wrong? This is where listening to the Players pays off. It does No good to listen, and then not do anything. Bounus max cashout is $100, or playthru was x40, or they bounch checks, or it takes 3 weeks to get paid, or they keep losing my documents, or they only care about slot players and table players are totally ignored, or they have almost no means of contact, and so on.........

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Doing all of the above vs just standard operating procedures at most Casino's, will cost a lot of money. I estimate it to be $0.00

Some good points well made.

I would approach it like 32Red - build up a reputation for treating players as individuals. If they want low reverse times then they get them. If they want deposit limits set then thay can have what they want. If they want instant Neteller they can have it. However...fraud is a key issue, so...

These would be offered following the ID process. I wouldnt offer a signup bonus. I would give a cashback offer or something like Canbet's 20% weekly losses. And an iNetBet-style monthly Manager bonus.

The aim - to build a player base on reputation a la 3Dice/32Red. Might be slower, less players but hopefully by treating them how they want to be treated, loyal ones.

Take it from an ex rep who worked for some casinos.

All players want is to be treated like a normal person, afterall, they all put money to the casino.
Even though sometimes reps do not actually "check" anything, player thinks they did, and feels like they tried to help him.
Theres a lot more on the other side of the CSR chat screen that you do not see.

Its all about building a good customer service, if they treat you good, you will come back. Some nice offers would also do the trick.

Afterall, all casinos are not in business to satisfy players, but to earn money.
IMHO if you build nice customer service, if you give fair promotions, they dont have to be bloated, but fair and try to minimize problems, you are slowly building reputation.

Everything else will come to you.
Greetings to all.

ya mail them a gift card as a gift like a american express card and they the customer will know that you care they can buy goods with it not just keep it in the fish bowel

let them know that your interested in them personally id buy a great big
steam boat roast and have a feast here at home and send pics to them:D:D

1) Instant payouts;
2) Cash back on losses (as Bodog or some of the Rivals do);
3) VIP program for points redeemable for cash or goodies; and
4) In-house support, 24/7, either chat or chat/phone.

My new casino will have 3 out 4 of those.

You list "instant payouts" as numero uno--it's just not humanly possible to do that reliably in the US thanks to your elected officials. If I can get a check in your hands in under two weeks in the states, that's about as good as it gets from my perspective. You know someone doing better than they are sailing close to the edge (esp for larger amounts). MG and WU can do faster.

But point me at them as I am looking for the best US processors... issue is, as soon as you have a million in them for rolling reserve, and a few others do as well, they disappear! With your money, that I then have to make up for. It IS the most painful part of having a US facing casino.

Everything else, done. Add English speaking please. I'm ready to do the 24x7 service, english speaking, phone AND chat, 15% back on losses, super loose slots, and loyalty points redeemable for cash or goodies....

but instant payouts? in the US? "Dreaming is free."

Cheers

Alex

Is it dreaming for us non-US players? I'm not trying to tell you how to run your business, but the US is a market in jeopardy. Should non US players just risk our money at markets that do accept American players?

I often wanted to post that I was surprised at guys NOT in the US playing in sites that take US play for exactly that reason; there are greater risks that way for your funds. Then again, you should only be playing with funds you can afford to lose anyway, but you DO deserve some value from them.

The big sports books that take US play are far safer bets than new US standalone online casinos as they DO have thousands of players and have so much at stake that their processing is usually pretty good. So you can feel safe-ish at Bodog, Betonline, Sportsbook dot com (haha, all RTG come to think of it! Although as published here previously Bodog is on original RTG source code and has made changes (most likely) since getting it a couple of years ago). And at smaller, well established books like BetPhoenix, Bookmaker... most offer SOME sort of casino play (although it may just be the old DGS systems, which is fine for BJ but slots, well...). Note that some sports books in the US don't take non-US/North American players, usually due to their (in)ability to process payments outside the North American market.

The other thing about playing at sports books is virtually all of their action is on blackjack, so they tend to forget about their slots and leave them loose-ish to attract players to them. As they usually understaff their casino side relative to its value to the book, and may have issues with using casino bonus funds on the book versus the casino, their casino promotions can seem weak compared to standalone casinos.. but the bigger guys are generally getting their act together there.

As usual, you should find the casino manager (casinomanager@..., casino@.... ) and tell them what you want/need to play their casino at their book and they should take care of you. Players drive their business; at good places you have more say about what you get than you think. Demand more!

Hiya: One last thing came to Mind. Most players do not know this, and thus never ask. Higher table limits. Usually, if a player ask, the Casino will Raise their Table limits. I remember asking Bodog about 18 months ago to raise mine. My roulette Limits went from, $500 max bet, and $25 Max on any single number, "pretty much the industry standard", all the way up to, $2000 Max bet, and $200 Max on any single number.

If your Casino would allow this, "does not have to be that big of an increase", then it needs to be posted on your web site some place, like in the banking section.

BANKING: "Want to play with higher table limits? E Mail us the Game, or Games, and what you would like the limits raised to, "max of x4 current limit", and we will make the adjustment for you."....Thankyou, now please make that deposit.............hehehe;)

Casinos are there to earn money.
Making you happy comser right after taking your money.
Saying casino will have super loose slots is ok, if your players gonna play with monopoly money.

You should always keep in mind that profit always comes first to a casino.
They will try to satisfy player, to the limit that they think is profitable.
