FTR, the GOP lists online gambling as a crime...so we can kiss that goodbye if McCain gets elected..

Sorry for the thread title change but since this is the "Ask the Casinomeister" forum it seemed appropriate to make your question clear. As it was it sounded a bit like a campaign bumper sticker.

Just as the musicians kept on playing until they were knee-deep in water while the Titanic was sinking, so are we as American players. Just keep playing till you can't play no mo'!

As John McCain has hired the same radical neo-cons to work in his campaign that worked for G.W. Bush and has hired the same radical advisor's as G.W. Bush...

I don't think you can expect anything different from McCain than Bush gave us.

Not to mention that the Republican Party Platform is all for completely outlawing online gaming... And we all know what a Party man McCain is so it's a sure bet that he will be behind more and tougher laws against Online Gaming.

well thanks for your imput...but if you make over 250,000. a year, *most casinos don't, right?*...just think of the strain it will put on the Casinos LOL...

nothing political, I guess I figured he would be a bit more sympathetic to people who bet,...

and I think that Dems' think that it is illegal also.

whatever.

Im votin for TOM JONES:notworthy

And the Kentucky Governor is a Democrat. Rock and a hard place is the phrase that springs to mind. Although I guess that is more about pressure from the racing industry to be fair and may not be typically representative.

The Democratic governor of Kentucky was not following any policy of the Democratic party... He is being paid to protect the land based gaming business in his state, by those business... Again the Governor of Kentucky is not following any policy of the Democratic Party.

American Poker Players Support Obama for November Elections
07/07/08 19:05 Filed in: Poker News
Although for many politicians the support of poker players may be the furthest demographic from their minds American presidential hopeful, Senator Barack Obama is proving that having the gamblers on his side may prove an enormous help. Due to Obama’s stance on US legislature concerning the game he is drumming up a lot of interest from the masses of poker enthusiasts across the nation.

Although Senator John McCain is also a fan of gambling he frequents craps tables while Obama has identified himself as a Texas Hold ‘Em and Seven-Card Stud buff. The Democrat also seeks an end to the illegality of certain poker games within the United States and hopes to offer restrictions rather than outright bans. The Poker Players for Obama maintain consistent blog postings on his website and even former die-hard Republican, Doyle Brunson has announced that his vote will go toward the Democratic candidate in November. Perhaps the most striking sign of support comes from the million strong Pokers Players Alliance as their number alone shows great potential for favorable voting.

Considering that McCain supports the Republican bid for banning internet poker many fans of the game see Obama as the only correct candidate if they wish to continue enjoying their hobby or livelihood online. Regardless of other policies and campaign promises, Obama’s stance on poker and personal regard for the game has gained him a strong following as US elections grow ever closer.
