I started playing regularly online about 5 years ago.

It took me a while to establish one or two casinos that I'd always go back too.

I'm only still playing at one of them (William Hill - I know, but great for Live Casino) and have dropped the rest as their solutions changed or they just seemed to lose their way.

I'm wondering whether others are still playing at the same casinos from 5 years ago and which ones they have dropped in favour of newer additions.

I've been using Skybet/Vegas pretty much since they opened. Coral too, going on for 20 years now. Casumo for a few years now.

I have barely touched WH since they screwed me over on a £100 ante post bet for cheltenham last year which was supposed to be NRNB and they didn't void as it ran in a different race.

That is surely wrong on their part as when you place a bet ante post you do so to try and beat the book so to speak. Therefore the the price offered at the time is fixed to the nominated race. Therefore it is arguable (I don’t quite know the complete situation) that the horse you backed was never available at the same price for the race it actually ran in. Unless you didn’t take a price or nominate it for a particular race or it was in some sneaky t+c which at best would be more than questionable as to its legitimacy.

I backed it in a race on the Tuesday, it ran in a race on the Thursday, they refused to refund as they had a term that stated along the lines of, NRNB will be refunded if the selection does not run at the Cheltenham Festival. I argued that I backed it for the Tuesday but they wouldn't budge, it's cost them a lot more than the £100 since then though.

In the past (November 2015-2016), I gamed at a good 10-15 casinos. In 2019, it’s down to Video Slots and PlayOLG.ca. Unless I move to Sweden, Germany or Mexico or get desperate and do what baitorbebaited does, the pickings are very slim and having a winning year like 2017 is going to be unlikely.

From 2002 - 2009: 100% Fortune Lounge brands (Royal Vegas and 7 Sultans)
From 2009 to Dec 2015 - 100% at 32RED

Dec 2015 - mid 2017: I discovered CM and multi-platform casinos which led to me opening a flurry of 15 - 20 accounts and playing at all of them at the beginning. It slowly reduced to two only.

mid 2017 - Q2 2018: 50% - Videoslots and 50% - Rizk.

Q2 2018 - 2019: 95% - Videoslots and 5% Rizk. Rizk had to restrict most games for my region.

If I'd would want to play MG download it would be again 32RED

2003 - 2017

The People Casino, Quicksilver, Platinum Play, Jackpot City, 32 Red, Guts, Leo Vegas, Casumo, Royal Vegas, River Nile, Cinema Casino, Mr Green, Casino Splendido, Roxy Palace, Betway, Ladbrokes, Mr Smith, Betsafe, Betfred, Rizk, Thrills....there's probably another 20 I could list here lol

2017 - Present Day

95% of play at Video Slots, Odd deposit as Casumo if they send a decent bonus offer, odd deposit at Leo Vegas if my bank roll is healthy and occasion visit to 32 Red (which I miss a lot) when both bank roll ok and I fancy a viper client session (mostly TSII which I never play flash based and Untamed series of games) and avoiding BTG and DoA :p

I've had dozens at first, 6+ years ago. I'd even sign up to every Rival casino on the planet just to play that boxing slot :D despite the staggering wagering requirements & fact they'd likely not pay :cheerleader:

I've actually consolidated the casinos I play at now and settled on two main ones. Generally I've been paid at most sites but the very thought of filling out my details for (what must be) the 300th time doesn't appeal much, not to mention today's KYC/ SoW/ AML/ RG dramas everywhere.

Yet despite all that, I used to hop between casinos a lot because my favourite games did play differently wherever I went. Wonder if some were running different RTPs :D:eek:

I prefer 1 or 2 to the many to buld loyalty. for example, I've ben playing GUTS pretty much solely (until recently) for the past 5 years.
However, when the casino ceases to reward loyalty, it's time to move on.

Started off with Will Hill and Ladbrokes back in the day (before WH started becoming a good bonus casino) but mainly Bet Victor back them (who had an excellent Vip scheme during the good bonus years)

Now? Mainly Videoslots/Casumo/Novibet.

Play a good bit at Redbet but only because iv had some good hits in the past. If I started playing there now I probably wouldn’t bother...

Thrills used to be my number 1 go to casino. I always ran ok there and never hardly hit a really bad patch. Now VS, Casumo, Unibet, mainly with a bit of V&J, Bettson, and Intercasino and the odd deposit at a few others.

This thread is brilliant for me. Thanks @neilw I'm keen to know what sites people use and am grateful of tips or validation.

I tarted my details around to anything that offered free spins about a year ago and quickly found out not all was as it seems with online slot gambling. I've narrowed down to VS, Rizk, Guts and Casumo with the impression I should be using 32red and some more 'mainstream' bookmakers maybe but if it's not broke I'm not fixing it for now.

Also @Harry_BKK can I ask what you mean by 'MG download?

Thanks, any interesting gambling reason/myth for prefering the download version (sorry to be a pain)

Microgaming slots run so much smoother and faster on the download client as you have all files stored on your PC/laptop. It is by far superior to any browser based gaming solution.

The problem is that the client cannot host other providers, so it is exclusive MG games and it has become somewhat dated with the years.

I have my 2 that I go too, that is it. Most part is laziness in verifying everything that stops me from going to more, plus being in Canada, I only do wire transfers for withdrawals.

In the old days many MG download casinos until quite a few were taken over by Casino Rewards.

Last couple of years V&J, Guts and Videoslots (and sometimes Leo Vegas and Casumo).

Recently, I decided to give the majority of my deposits to Guts again and I am quite happy about them. Lots of rewards and playtime!

when i stated playing online 2.5years ago ya i know rookie.it was all platinum play or allslots well we know whats up with them now. only online casino i truly trust video slots all the way.they are always coming up with somthing new now you can play battles on your mobile not that you could not before only desk topversion. vs simply nobody out there that comes close . samdog21

For me, Sky Vegas was my first. Then Go Wild. Then 32red. Then I had mixtures of multiple ones. Thrills, Cashmio, Casumo, Kaboo, Leovegas, PlayOjo, Jackpot Party Casino, Casino Heros, Videoslots, William Hill, Paddy Power, Unibet, Stan James, BetSafe, Guts, Trada, Slotty Vegas, Rizk, Vera John, Mr Green, Slotsmillion, Energy Casino.

I also dabbled at some RTG casinos in the past, ones that was in the Club World Group as they was pretty trustworthy, Withdraw times was not that great but they was the better out of the majority at the time. Lucky Red was the main Club World RTG Casino I played at :p

Probably even more than that. But the ones I play at now is Videoslots is number 1, Leovegas and Rizk and 3dice, On occasion I play at Vera And John still as well but their withdraw times stink.

Over here in Belgium there aren't that many online casino's so there isn't a chance to change your plan of attack  but I prefer Unibet and Bwin for their fast payouts. More dedicated casino's like Starcasino tend to stall payouts for over 24hrs and don't process withdrawals on weekends and holidays

At least Starcasino removed the 5% Neteller/Skrill withdrawal fee! :)

This is really interesting. So following on from the OP (and I don't mean to hijack the thread) - what factors are most important when you decide where to keep playing and where to ditch?

I normally don't jump from one place to another and play only at 2-3 casinos. If I lose at one of them then I don't play there for around 2-3 weeks but play in one of the 2 others instead.
But If would decide to look for something new then I would need:
  • A casino with a perfect reputation (very few and insignificant complaints on the internet)
  • Gambling licence from a reputable gambling authority (preferably)
  • High or no withdrawal limits
  • Fast withdrawals
  • No pending time
  • Withdrawal lock
  • Availability of Paypal
  • Smoothly running casino website (no lags, no disconnections or connection problems)
  • Availability of many Live roulette tables from real land-based casinos
  • I'm not a slots fan but 300 shields, Montezuma and Lucky lady charms must be there :D
Bonuses I never use, I'm not interested in any.

I started playing online about 10 years ago, and have played at these casinos
Music Hall
Go Wild
Crazy Vegas
Videoslots and House Of Jack.
5 casinos in 10 years! Reading this casino reps? I stay dedicated! :D

OMG! Started online play in 1998, I think. English Harbour was Microgaming. Loved loved loved Cash Splash!!

They were giving a free $20 to try it out, no withdrawal limits, no ID's, none of the crap we go through today. I won/cashed $925 on that freebie, (telling myself I will never see that check) Yes it came, cleared, and in the bank.... yes, I was hooked!

Over all those years, I think I played at everyone that popped up, freebies, of course, but deposits too.

But now, I play the Intertops group and 3 Dice. Ready to call it a day with 3 Dice though. I seem to be in a no win, no way, no how situation and it is just too hard to take losing all the damn time. Plus their loyalty is based on your play accumulation, NOT your deposits. Deposit till the cows come home, but if you don't get much play with those deposits, you won't see much loyalty. Ass-backwards in my opinion.

Thanks to all the posters comments. A good read!
