Hi all
I have a bit of a predicament with BGO
I had an account with bgo before but tried unsuccessfully to access it. Applied for a password reset but got no reply. So opened another account presuming the original had been closed.
I deposited £25 and was given a bonus of £50 which I played through. I later deposited a further £75 no bonuses and to my delight had two big wins and made a withdrawl of £800. 48hours later I saw that my account had been suspended. After various emails with two different agents I have been told that my new account has been closed and my original one reinstated yet my winnings/withdrawl of £800 is nowhere in sight.
I have asked what is going on with my winnings as I won those outside their bonuses and as of yet have not heard anything. I have acted in good faith. And was unaware I had breached any rules yet I do not hold out much hope of receiving my winnings.
any ideas anyone? Am I now going to lose it all?

If this were me, there is NO WAY in hell that I would have opened a brand new account UNTIL I had permission to do so in writing from the casino.

Why? Well, you're telling the story right now.

Just because you didn't get a password reset reply, you don't just assume it's closed and open another. It defies logic actually, given that you didn't even bother to contact support AT ALL.

So the initial bonus was the welcome bonus? Which I assume you already received on your previous account? I would think you'd be in trouble right there for starters.

Personally, I think issues like these should be resolved in the player's favour IF and ONLY IF they have made every reasonable attempt to avoid opening a new account.....which the OP is this case did NOT do. A simple email to support and a little patience would have avoided the whole scenario.

Actually I did read their t & c which states that after a year of inactivity the account would be deemed as null.
I was after advice not a shooting down. As you presume to know everything about my situation and obviously wrote the book on online casinos.it would of been more helpful if you could have offered some insight or a possible solution not rant about what you would have done.

Ummmm....OK.

Next time you post a question, perhaps you would be so kind as to make a list of allowable and acceptable responses, just so nobody says anything you don't like. Better still.....start your own blog where you can edit the responses!

I highlighted how much of a BAD idea it is to create new accounts without double checking with the casino in advance, to HELP and ASSIST other members if they are faced with the same situation, and how they can AVOID making ill-advised decisions as a result of such things as impatience, laziness, etc.

If you would like a copy of my book, please feel free to post your details and I'll have one sent out to you...in large print with pictures of course, just for you ;)

Not that I know anything about online casinos, but if I did, I would say that VERY few casinos will allow you to create a new account and accept the signup bonus every 12 months. BGO might be the exception, but given the fact that they denied your cashout and closed your new account, it seems they are not so.

If you had opened a new account and just played 100% with your own funds, then I could see a fair argument for allowing your winnings to be kept. However, since you took a bonus (the SUB I assume as you didn't deny it) to which you were not entitled (it would appear), then you broke more than the one term and IMO you shouldn't be paid. Whether you actually won from the bonus is neither here nor there, as it's the fruit of the poisonous tree.

IMO, it comes down to the "advantage test" i.e. did you gain an advantage by opening a new account and taking the SUB again? The answer is YES, so you're most likely SOL, and rightly so. It also isn't a stretch of the imagination to assume that you KNEW you were taking the SUB again, which makes what you did even more dodgy.

Oh, and BTW, you didn't read the terms very carefully did you?

If you have not logged into your account or otherwise not accessed or used it for a continuous period of 365 days, your account shall be deemed to be dormant. If your account becomes dormant we will use all reasonable endeavours to contact you to determine your wishes in respect of any unutilized real funds. If the player fails to log in for a following continuous period of 365 days, all deposited funds remaining in the account balance will be donated to a charity for responsible gambling

17.Player may not have more than one account. If bgo.com detects a Player with more than one account, we reserve the right delete the superfluous account(s). No bonus given to the superfluous account or winnings will be honoured. Any funds lost will not be eligible for a refund.

18.If a player has been found to have opened multiple accounts for the purposes of obtaining additional bonus funds or an unfair advantage, we reserve the right to close all accounts and retain any balance or withdrawal associated with the accounts. Where these rules cannot be applied for any reason, the reallocation or reimbursement of funds will be at the discretion of bgo management. In the event of funds being reallocated or reimbursed, an administration fee shall apply.

If you HAD read these terms, you would NOT have opened another account.....or would you?

You should look up the word "dormant". It does NOT mean "closed".
