Help Needed!

Please let me know when you'd like me to shut the forum account down so you can go on from here. I'm setting your account as a non-gambler so it is not able to "see" the gambling forums. Plus, you won't receive any forum announcements that are sent out every so often.

Please give my regards to your daughter, and I really wish her the best in all of this. It sounds like she has great family support - and that is the most important thing here.

Great Post Jasminebed! After all . . .

Your daughter could give you a General Power of Attorney, or even a Limited Power of Attorney. A Power of Attorney allows you to act as your daughter, enter into contracts, sell property, use her financial accounts, and basically have all the rights and signing authority that she does. It does not prevent her from doing these things as well.

A limited Power of Attorney would specify exactly what matter(s) you are empowered to act on her behalf, and not give you the full power that a general Power of Attorney does. This is a legal document and would be accepted.

Fairly standard documents, a lawyer shouldn't charge very much for them. I know right now is not a great time to spend money, but that will change.

As for therapy, make sure whoever she sees either works with a psychiatist or a GP, so medication can be prescribed if necessary.

A psychologist will hold a degree in psychology. A therapist can have training from a multitude of sources, (or possibly none at all here in Canada) some better than others.

She didn't develop this addiction overnight, it won't be fixed overnight either.

It worked wonders for BRITNEY SPEARS!!!!!!!!!!:D

I have now seen it all

Obviously a gambling problem along with the anxiety and depression is very serious. Seems like you have that end covered with the treatment.

Lew, I am assuming your the Dad? I see some posts by this to where it was a daughter and mother team posting. www.casinomeister.com/forums/payment-processing-issues/58257-juega-ocho-help.html#post572766 If it is correct and you are the dad it may be both your daughter and wife? Either way it seems like you have a lot of investigating to do.

In terms of getting money back, not sure how that works with paypal, but in general there really needs to be some fraudulent circumstances. The biggest being is how does the casino know its not a case of being a sore loser. How do they know your not involved? Whos names are on Paypal Account? How did she get access to such sensitive info? Has this account been used in the past for deposits? The list goes on and on.

It seems you knew about the big win, did she tell you?

I also just saw you browsing "winning screenshot", of course you have the right to go where you want, but if the scenario is this serious I wouldn't expect you to be viewing screenshots.

Sorry for the skepticism, because a gambling problem is serious, but you can imagine the ways people try to get money back after being sore losers.

Omg. I have now seen it all!

Hi, don't know if this kind of thing allowed but I'm looking for help in recovering from my problem. I've set a page up explaining my plight and fight against addiction [removed link]

Nope it wont be allowed and not being funny but it wasn't a good idea as the members here will think its a very bad thing for someone to be asking for donations because they havea gambling addiction. Theres millions of far more worthy causes that need funding. Im being polite about it but sure some members will let you know what they really think.

Fair comment, there's thousands of more worthy causes out there with genuine physical illnesses I know. It's an awful addiction, partly because those that don't suffer from it don't understand it. I'm here for ongoing support emotionally, I've been reading for a while. If posting the link is not allowed then I apologise. I understand what you're saying, if I was an outsider looking in I'd probably be angered by it. I'm unlikely to get any support or sympathy from people on the internet, but wallowing in a pit of self pity isn't getting me anywhere in life. If I need to knuckle down for 10 years to rectify my own stupid mistakes then that's what I'll do. In the mean time I'll take all the help and support I can get.

Sorry to hear about your plight thompers but the link you provided is inappropriate in that it sets a precedent which could be taken advantage of, so I have had to remove it.
