Hello! New player here!

Hi,

I’ve just joined the site - a newbie from Chelmsford, Essex in the UK.

I’m off to Vegas next year and although I’ve dabbled in online slots, I don’t know much about them so hoping to learn a bit on here! I know nothing about any of the table games either!
Hey Worzel3112, welcome to the club. Good to know that I'm not the only one who wants to sit on the front line to read and learn everything this site can offer. :)

Hey Worzel, Welcome!

I live in Westcliff, nice to see someone local on CM. What a small world!

I came to CM on the path of knowledge also. I am yet to find a better and more accommodating place (not that im looking).

Why would you come here if you're not already a hopeless addict
Leave while you can
to learn, chill with a community, unwind with people who share common interests?

It really is a small world! I thought everyone on here was going to be in the US!

I really have no idea what I’m doing. I prefer slots to other games but willing to learn! Currently using the MyVegas app for a bit of practice, and it gets me loyalty coins to exchange for things in Vegas. So far, I’ve managed to learn a little about Blackjack (that’s about it!) ha ha.

There are people from everywhere on here.

A couple of tips would be to stick to the accredited CM choice of casinos or at least use the search function before spending money to research a casino.

Always check the RTP and bonus terms. RTP can be found in the help files of each game in most cases.

And, set a budget and stick to it. Dont spend what you can afford. These slots are totally random and there are no secrets.(well if there are i have not found them yet after 2 years).

There is some decent info here - Top 10 Common Mistakes Playing Slots - Casinomeister

And the 'Ask me anything about slots' thread which delves deep into slot knowledge. (use the search function and you will find) @nikantw did a good one about what you should know before you play also but i cant find it at the minute.

In short, get involved and you wont be disappointed :)

Ha ha, off to Vegas in April so it could all end VERY badly!
Vegas is one of the WORST places to gamble in "Bricks and Mortar" casinos - the house edge is higher than most other casinos in the world - how do you think they pay for all that fabulousness??? :p

My honest advice is keep your gambling to a minimal preset budget you are prepared to lose - and just enjoy the whole Vegas experience!

I'm heading out there in May (my first visit since 2004) and I am SO excited :D

As to this forum: Best in the World bar none - you will NOT get better advice anywhere else
Enjoy!
