I feel like I am sticking my head out here, but after a discussion with Paz from SEOguy and digital-m.co.za on MSN tonight I can confirm that there was a Google update this weekend.

Although it was a small change one thing was definately prominent through experiments done by Paz. That sitewide backlinks do have value. I have seen on several SEO forums the last couple of months that many SEO's was under the impression that sitewide backlinks was bad. I was one of those that was of the opinion that site wides wasn't bad, but that it certainly didn't help. However the experiments done by Paz and a test done by myself and another member of this forum shows it is become clear that Sitewide backlinks does have value! Especialy with a settled site with good PR you can obtain sitewide backlinks and it will definately help. Maybe it is old news I do not know but for me it was an eye opener.
