Hello fellow forum members,

Just glossing through the most recent GOM magazine, where I came across the "MOST POPULAR ONLINE CASINOS" (p.78) section. I was astonished to the casinos that made the Top-10. The list reads:

- Casino-on-Net
- Golden Palace Online Casino
- Casino Tropez
- Monaco Gold Casino
- Club Dice Casino
- Vegas Frontier Casino
- Carnival Casino
- Inter Casino
- Bodog Casino
- Casino Las Vegas

Okay, well, this isn't a list about the Top-10 most reputable casinos, so fair enough. :what: But surely, not a single MG casino that cracks the Top-10 list?! :eek2: Is that right?! If you go to many webmasters sites, you'll be quick to recognize that MG supports a HEAVY amount of casinos on the net (notable ones at that).

While I can understand Casino-on-Net, Golden Palace Online Casino, Inter Casino, and Bodog (although most of us don't give-a-damn about Golden Palace), because they are very popular, what about other casinos like the Gaming Club, King Neptune's, Captain Cooks Casino, River Belle, iNetBet, Mapau, Will-Hill, Littlewoods, Sci-Fi, or even fool's gold like Cirrus (who I'm sure must be popular despite what they do... and the hook-line-and-sinker is that free bonus chip). And I'm mentioning these casinos because they've historically been popular, whereas a great casino like a 32Red is relatively new and is still building-up it's list of clients (and is VERY big at Casinomeister.com, but not necessarily at other forums/boards ect...).

I enjoy this magazine enough, so I don't really want to trash it. But, is that possible that 6 PlayTech's can crack anyone's Top-10 list of most popular casinos?

Sidenote: While combing through BonusRating (.com) I noticed that there are far fewer RTG casinos than before (say at this time 2-years ago). Like, a lot less. Has RTG been chopping-off casinos to clean-up their image, or have those operations just simply gone defunct?

Gee, not the list of most reputable that's for sure. Only one missing is my personal favourite........Royal Dutch. Oh yeah, they're not around anymore are they? Hee, hee, hee. You are right JS, it is very strange that not even one MG casino made that list. Now that list sure would be misleading for a newbie in the industry wouldn't it? Think we can rip a pound of flesh out of em for publishing it? ;)

Brandy, anyone?

 Forgot about them. Geez, aren't the editors at GOM worried that a team of thugs (representing some of those not-so-trustworthy casinos) might show-up at their offices any time now. I can see it now, one of the thugs tosses "Michael Caselli" over his desk, where he then lands in a pile of "Brandy-votes". Very ugly scene, no doubt.

Had I not found-out about Casinomeister.com, I might still be depositing at a place like Carnival Casino. Eeeewwwww...

I suspect, rating was made by number of hits their sites get. Something similar to Casino City rating.

I miss the days when we could vote at gambling.com ie before they were sold. Many of the better MG casinos were constantly in the top 100.

LOL. Probably based on physical numbers rather than "popular" as in what people actually thought of their experience :)

And yet, I can remember the furore every time the gambling.com awards were announced, too! Very similar posts to those here...

Not surprising

I don't think it is a coincidence that the Top ten are advertisers at GOM magazine
