Hi everyone,

I was talking to a friend about online gambling who said he played at Golden Palace, I told him they were rogued here, but as we looked it up the explanation for being rogued was "stupid advertising". I wonder whether this is roguish, by the meaning of the word, since it doesn't do any harm versus the player. So is the casino only rogued because of "taste issues" or is there anything serious going on that would scare a player away if he knew about it?

Best regards,

As far as i know the reason that is stated for them being rogue is "stupid advertising" and since I read lately they bought William Shatner's kidney stones (don't know if that's the right term in english?) I figure that reason has not changed at all. I don't know whether they want to be unrogued or if they even know about it, I was just wondering if there is anything besides the advertising that should be a concern to the players.

Best regards,

Well I'm not sure if there's another reason they've been rogued - as far as I can remember there weren't any player complaints. However, because they're rogued, if you DO have problems, you probably won't be able to get help from Casinomeister. They're still Playtech aren't they? Before you open an account with them ask support whether they have the standard 4 day pendiing period and if they will pay out progressive wins in full. If they limit payouts on progressive wins, I'd keep clear of them.

If its only because of Advertising / Spam. Then that is why we have a spam filter in our email boxes. :p
I still play at a couple casinos. Which do send out lot of cr.... But they payout in time and not had any issues apart from that.
I can not say anything about Golden Palace. But if to much Spam / Advertising is a problem, then just mark their promotion emails as spam.
I know some people still play at casino rewards casinos. And they send lot of annoying emails. But just avoid their bonuses and play with Cash deposits, then also no harm with them.

, to the best of my knowledge most players have not been paid. GP also disrupted the Olympics, Super Bowl and other sporting events, even after promising not to do it again. I would not be comfortable with giving my money to such an outfit.

As far as I'm concerned, it has to do with their business ethics.

eth·ics   /ˈɛθɪks/ Show Spelled[eth-iks]

plural noun
1. ( used with a singular or plural verb ) a system of moral principles: the ethics of a culture.
2. the rules of conduct recognized in respect to a particular class of human actions or a particular group, culture, etc.: medical ethics; Christian ethics.
3. moral principles, as of an individual: His ethics forbade betrayal of a confidence.
4. ( usually used with a singular verb ) that branch of philosophy dealing with values relating to human conduct, with respect to the rightness and wrongness of certain actions and to the goodness and badness of the motives and ends of such actions.

This is where they overstepped the mark. This went beyond a stunt like buying daft stuff off eBay, and is more than just "stupid advertising". They also repeated the offence after being roundly criticised and even fined by the KGC for disrupting the Olympics by hiring a streaker with "Golden Palace" tattooed on his todger.

Oh man, these guys have done so much stupid stuff it's hard to keep track - I actually have a semi-finished list somewhere that I was planning on using to write an article.

In addition to the things already mentioned (the streaking is just super tacky) they paid to have a baby named 'golden palace casino' :what:

Hi,

First of all thank you everyone for their feedback. I told everything from here to my friend and he agreed that the thing with the baby name is pretty gross. He didn't care about the other points too much and said they pretty much could do whatever they wanted as long as they're paying him. We had an interesting discussion about what to do if one's is running a business where it is forbidden to run advertising for in most parts of the world. I have to admit, I am not entirely sure if I had not taken the "buy stupid stuff on auctions step" or maybe even hired a streaker something similar myself to gain buzz. Unless I had good advisors that is, of course, lol.

Best regards and thanks to everyone for filling me up,

The problem is that with casinos which have questionable ethics, will they pay in future if you win a handsome amount. They couldnt care less about their reputation so when its crunch time they dont mind blotting their copybook any further and just refuse to pay. You and your friend can continue to play but remember only to deposit in small amounts otherwise you may regret the decision you have made today.

How a casino chooses to advertise is about #172 on my list of criteria for choosing where to deposit. Their propensity to pay, responsiveness of customer support, general sense of fairness in resolving disputes, and attractiveness of the font used on their website all rank significantly higher.

If the only evidence of GP not paying the winners is already 12 years (!!!) old - then it must be a good casino. The accredited list on this website is full of casinos that didn't pay this and last year because of the same "bonus abuse" stuff.

Should GP want to get out of the rogue pit they can always initiate discussions with Bryan and prove they are not rogues with some feedback from the community of course.

Im think they are in Roqe category becose they use unethical practice and maby stole some money from players a lot years ago ( im dont know how this work a lot yers ago) this links was from 2000 now is 2012 in web can see informations abaut golden palace roqe practice but all this was from alot yers ago - Now im thinks they work good pay players in time. Send alot free bonuses 10-50 for registerd players oslo - no deposit players with max cashauts 250. And one of their sister casino have alredy excelent promotions 75% cashback for first deposit with no wager . Im work - with them affiliate and im get my commite in time and my players get money in time. Im hope this will be still look good and mayby some day admin this forum add Golden Palace and sisters casinos to acredited sections. ....

I am not trying to revive this thread, but I would like to contribute my 2c.

I have been using Golden Palace for about 5 years and used it quite a bit initially and did OK, nothing spectacular and never had a problem. Recently I started using them again with the same result, I have not had any problems and thier customer service has been top notch. I have had no problem withdrawing winnings.

I currently frequent 4 casinos, 32red, Betfred, Omni and Golden Palace and the service from each of them if I was to compare would get the same rating, they are all very very good.

The 2000 incident was not a few players but huge and one of the contributing factors for the growth of online forums and players sharing info. Shortly after this they left microgamng and a new software which had a lot of similarity to MCG was the platform- subsequently they switched to playtech and have been so for a while- those with long memories willl probably not forget or forgive the 2000 debacle. On current form they do seem to pay but are quite slow- minimum 72hrs- they do spam quite a bit and the CS are always interrupting you to chat during play- i like friendly but it can be annoying.

I would play small amounts but am a little wary as seeing they have got away with what they did in 2000 there is no reason they couldn't do the same again- not saying they would but history is history and the no pay the game clones and the stunts probably does raise an ethics warning bell.

As to the stupid tricks- yep stupid but successful- even non players know there name= how they want to advertise themselves is irrelevant to me If its a choice between casinos that pull stupid tricks or one that lies and make grandiose claims then I would prefer the stupid tricks- and as to the baby name= seriously tacky but I think that says as much if not more about the parents.

random security check

I think that this casino is not so good to play. I deposit two times here. First i send of course all documents with both sides, also with my face :).
First withdrawal was only 150e that takes 9 days to skrill. But then little problem started, i deposit 30e and i win 250e, i decide to withdrawal, yes i wait first 10days (pending) then, i go to livechat, ad they told me RANDOM SECURITY CHECK :). So i send again all documents like they want me to do. That second withdrawal takes 2weeks with that random security check :). But i got those moneys so i was happy. But i will not play enymore... Both withdrawals via SKRILL.
