From what ive seen there has not been any protestors who has killed people with a machete or anywhere close to that level of crimes.

Its very clear that the UK gov is purposely trying to be overly harsh to try and control the populations actions. Just an fyi, this is not how a first world country should be acting. This is not the 1700's and the people are not peasants who you just throw loafs of bread at and if they say anything bad, you hang them in the streets.

Over 25 years ago the government decided to cut back on day centres, facilities and support for those with learning difficulties and mental health issues which has led to a massive increase in homelessness, suicides and god knows what else. Cutting them off from fellow sufferers was/is especially cruel. We are in the top 6 richest nations in the world.

However, youngsters should be full of the joys of life, wonder if they are or already carrying burdens and a feeling things need fixing, somehow.

I feel like we've let them down, (one way or another) especially the young ones, they should be coming into something better than this, we had so much more, and we've passed on something worse.

Our kids here have a hard time getting jobs because the government provides incentives for businesses to hire immigrants instead.

Plus, they will never ever be able to afford a home here. Its at minimum around 850k for a very average 3 bedroom home. In Toronto and other places, its like 1.3 million for an average home with no property
