I didn't know that I needed a licence to drive my car, or insurance, or that the speed limit was 30mph....... I thought the general presumption was that everyone must be properly acquainted with the law, and abide by it. I personally think anyone who rapes a woman, child or man should go to prison for life. I believe the grooming gangs in Bradford should never see freedom until they are very old men.
If someone tries to burn someone or harm people in any way they need to be punished appropriately.

Edited to add: a persons colour/religion/ethnicity or immigration status should have nothing to do with how they should be treated in law. A crime is a crime is a crime end off and no matter who commits the crime they should face the full weight of justice.

I agree 100% with you on this, the scum that did this should have been jailed for life. It makes no difference whether they were immigrants or children of immigrants, the book should have been thrown at them.
But I would say the same about anyone who committed the crimes that they did, regardless of colour or creed.

How any individual perceives or thinks is a private matter and not one a judge should opine on. It is dangerous territory when a judge factors into any sentence how the accused 'should' have thought. It isn't like a drink-drive for pity's sake when yes, you should have ordered a taxi, should have walked.

Well for sure, and if pigeons had the vote, then the 'Give All The Bread To The Pigeons Party' would have won a massive majority, but that's not how our electoral system works.

Low turnout in elections isn't great, it's indicative of a population that isn't engaged with the political process and/or believes in 'none of the above'.

One of Labour's many challenges bequeathed to them by the Tories will be to turn that around.

There are about 50 different reasons why the UK is a liberal run country. The most telling is total gun control. Regular conservatives in general, do not believe in this.

The UK is actually proof of what is wrong with liberal policies.

You speak to them and show them about certain states promoting child mutilation and puberty blockers, many of them say its a lie. It doesnt happen. Even if you show actual medical charts.

So I would probably say north america when using an example and not just the USA as one. Canada is a lot less extreme though. We get pissed off but we dont usually riot and fight each other in the streets like the USA but overall Left and Right are very different...Where I find the UK, Germany to be left or super left.

If a population cannot afford food for their kids, they should not be having kids. Not on the scale where we need food programs. I think the stats shows it costs one kid $8-$12 per day to feed them.

With that being said, I dont personally have a problem with these programs. My daughter doesnt need it but most mornings she eats breakfast at school that they provide.


These are things conservatives like to take away. When in reality, how about we stop giving 20 million dollars to the Phillipines for gender equality programs? Then there wont be an argument on spending a few million per year for school provided food.

Post industrialization, combined with shipping in thousands of migrants = where we are, like a recipe (one of disaster).

Id have to look into it but I think the USA is really the only country that allows mass weapon ownership (1st world countries) Canada gun laws are pretty much like UK. Very strict. We are only allowed rifles here for hunting. They just recently banned hand guns.

With the issues in the UK, I assume females arent allowed to carry it either? Seems to me like most females these days should carry it.

Totally agree about Sweden. It's too bad. Canadians knew and grew up seeing Sweden totally different than what it is now. Germany the same (we didnt really see German as a great place per se) but overall, their country has been ruined by mass immigration.

My husband works and played with a guy who played hockey in Sweden for about 10 years. He told me how much it's been ruined.

I stay with my point that you can't compare the American political spectrum to the UK or the rest of Europe. Someone like President Obama would be in a liberal party over here. And liberal means something else here than it does in Anglo-Saxon countries, they're mostly right of center with only some of their members slightly more left leaning.

The UK's system is (afaik) the closest to the US one in Europe. Most, if not all, other countries make use of coalitions to form governments.

There simply is no socialist party in the USA that has a chance of delivering the President. There might be some far right and left fringe parties but they barely get any votes and even a bigger name like RFK Jr. is polled around 5% whilst getting a decent amount of media attention.

I stay with my point that you can't compare the American political spectrum to the UK or the rest of Europe. Someone like President Obama would be in a liberal party over here. And liberal means something else here than it does in Anglo-Saxon countries, they're mostly right of center with only some of their members slightly more left leaning.

The UK's system is (afaik) the closest to the US one in Europe. Most, if not all, other countries make use of coalitions to form governments.

There simply is no socialist party in the USA that has a chance of delivering the President. There might be some far right and left fringe parties but they barely get any votes and even a bigger name like RFK Jr. is polled around 5% whilst getting a decent amount of media attention.

While you cant compare the entire political spectrum.. Left leaning policies seem to be pretty much the same all across the world. Anti-gun, anti-abortion, overly pro LGB, pro-mass immigration.

The NA democratic party and Liberal party have included socialism in some of their policies. So while there isnt a socialist party (unlike Europe which has many) the policies are lumped in with mostly left parties here.

Also, statism comes into effect as a large reason for differences. But once again, democratic run states vs Republican run states proves the comparison and differences between left wing policies vs right wing.


In Canada we have the liberals, Conservatives, NDP and PPC. Right now the Liberals and NDP run the government with a joint coaliition

I would say that RFK doesnt really get much attention here. He isnt even being included in any of the public debates or televised rallies.

He gets on a few podcasts and news stations here and there but that's about it. He actually publically stated how unfair his coverage has been and how the media is shunning him. Most of the coverage is the media telling everyone he can't win.

Well for sure, and if pigeons had the vote, then the 'Give All The Bread To The Pigeons Party' would have won a massive majority, but that's not how our electoral system works.

Low turnout in elections isn't great, it's indicative of a population that isn't engaged with the political process and/or believes in 'none of the above'.

One of Labour's many challenges bequeathed to them by the Tories will be to turn that around.

Not sure the exact health care system model Canada has, but I wouldn't want to swap the uk nhs one for the US one, with price gouging.

There must be ways of improving the nhs, cutting the demand via tight immigration would seem the most obvious place to start

Since people do not pay for visits to the hospital or doctors, they will go for colds and flu's. Whereas if people had to pay, they would stay home and try and sweat it out. Which creates immense overwhelming.

The average wait time in the ER is anywhere from 4-12 hours. I would say on average 4-6 hours.

If you look this up on government owned media websites, they say 2.1 hours. This is how I know the media are liars. I work across numerous hospitals and worked in the ER for yearssssss. There is nobody that sees a doctor in 2.1 hours. Not unless you are mid heart attack or bleeding out.

Also, now with mass immigration, it's getting even worse. We went from 32ish million to over 40 million in just a few years. 8 million people extra on our health care in such a short time? Liberals should honestly be jailed for what they have done here.

The average wait time to see specialist doctors here, is about 3 months to 1 year. We have patients in serious pain who need hip replacements, knee replacements, back surgery being put on a waiting list of 8 months-14 months. We just give them pain killers and say you have to wait it out.

We do have sick kids here in Toronto. Which is an incredible hospital and we are very proud of it. A lot of that though is donation funded too.

The positives? Well you dont have to worry about getting into an accident and waking up to a $20,000-$100,000 hospital bill like the USA if you arent insured.

Recently, they have allowed pharmacists the power to treat certain ailments to lessen they overwhelmed health care system. They can diagnose and treat UTI, hay fever, muscle sprains, tick bites and a handful of other things. So that does help a little.

Health care is not free. Our taxes here are insane. Totally insane.

Sounds very similar to our situation, and also we've just allowed pharmacists the same right to treat some minor ailments.

I used to be against GPs charging for an appointment, but I think now if you go and see the doc for a trivial complaint (he makes that judgement) then a £10 charge should be generated and if you fail to pay you cannot make another appointment.

(Pensioners and the mentally ill could be excluded)

I think it would free up so much time, then folk with potential cancer can get seen quicker, and the GP has more time to spend with each patient.

Every so often we hear of a case where somebody's symptoms are misdiagnosed, and they should've been rushed to hospital for antibiotic treatment, or bowel cancer is presumed to be ibs, I'm sure it is the time factor causing this by and large, and GPs trying to reduce the strain they place on hospitals.

No prior criminal record. Sentence 3 years. Longer than some sex assaults in the UK.
