Fraud with amazon cards?

Hello, fellow members,

This happened few days ago. I bought a Gift Card from the seller and applied it to my account, giving me +$200 in total. To mention, he sent it prior my payment.

But yesterday, when I logged into my account, I found that those $200 just disappeared. I contacted Amazon live chat and the operator said that this card was applied to someone's account in May, 12 (I applied it May, 15th!). Moreover, they can't see any cards applied to my account, but I think there should be at least some logs about this!

How that could be? I swear to God I redeemed it and it was applied to my account! It was a message about redeem was successful and I saw my balance changed! It was impossible to enter wrong number because it was the only one the seller sent me

Now I'm waiting an email from Amazon's tech team and opened a dispute which caused seller's account being blocked. No explanation was given as of today.
