With tactics being planned for tomorrow's crunch game and where every fine detail is scrutinized to get that edge, it's therefore crucial to weigh up both teams' WAGs, as this could make all the difference......

I make that 1-0 to France :p
I can't make out the first French one - did 'she' win Masteurchef Francais? TBH they're all pretty plastic with the centre-parting-false-lashes-flesh colour lipstick-Trump tan-plastic tits uniform. Like a modern-day Boys From Brazil theme.

Hollands last 2 belied a pretty rubbish performance by them - was like watching Man U back in 2013/14

Glad the Argies got through, even though they've hardly any legs left in them
Argentina and Brazil didn`t seem to take the matches very seriously. The Argentines have come to their senses thanks God.

Would be pretty swell if Morocco were to triumph today, for African football if anything. They'd sing about this day for years to come :p

Then comes the small matter of overcoming free-scoring Portugal of course. But with Morocco's mean defence, they won't have it as easy as they did against the porous Swiss.....

Let's go Morocco!

I thought like the Harry enfield character 'you don't want to do that' when Portugal scored 6 against the swiss. These things like goal scoring average out, and free scoring has never been their forte since ronaldo's heyday and luis figo etc...

Prepared to get egg on my face but looks like mor vs fra/eng semi final 2 and arg vs croatia...could there be an arg vs Eng final??

Hard not to feel a bit sorry for him, at least. When you consider the lack of respect shown to him at both Man Utd and the national team, after all he's given them.

Somewhat sad to see a generational player hounded out at this tournament, and be reduced to full-on, uncontrolled blubbing. For some reason the 'greats' always end their careers badly, a la Zidane and his super-headbutt and so forth.

But Ronaldo'll be fine. He'll probably retire from international football and lap up his Indian Summer in SA ?

Bloody hell English fans are bitter. Whatever happened to "Whatto chaps, let's roll our sleeves up and give them a good game! Tally-ho!" :p

I miss the days of England being among the best teams in any competition but having an affable group of players that always conspired to underwhelm, and somehow make themselves the underdog ?

Oh FFS! There's more chance of Chopley turning leaver, Liz Truss of coming back as PM and Lord Lucan delivering this year's Christmas Day speech in lieu of King Charles than there is of England beating a top side like France.

See you lot back here in 2 hours for the post mortem of England's WC - again. (like 2018, 2014, 2010, 2006, 2002, 1998)

I'm hedging my bets, got the footy on the big telly but also got a slot running and playing Sniper Elite 4 at the same time on my PC, so I can adapt to whatever happens. (i.e. If England are clearly going to lose I can lean more into the slot/videogame side of things.....)

Still, you've got to hope, haven't you? There's a world when England can win this game, let's hope that's the world that manifests itself this evening :)

I thought I was the optimist around these parts :p

England not the worst, but they could have really done without that goal. Now they're consolidating and playing it safe.....

Only one trying seems to be Saka. Problem for England now is that they'll have to throw the kitchen sink at them in the 2nd half, leaving them prone to counter-attacks, as France'll be happy with that gameplan.

So it will end up a thrilling 1-1, or France will pick them off each time and rack up a cricket score

The problem is I don't really see where our goal is going to come from, and we now need two to win the game outright and avoid the CURSE OF PENALITIES.

I'm no football pundit but to my amateur eyes France seem like the more together team across the pitch, and are putting more chances against our goal.

England were looking better towards the end of the first half I think, but we need a goal reasonably early doors in the second half to give us a chance.

If France score again it'll be all over, I fear.

Still, another half of the match to go - let's hope for the best!

Contrary to belief. I am a scouser who does support the England team. I am appalled that the goal shouldn't of stood and kane should of got a penalty. I think we can come back but we need a quick goal second half to get back in the running
