I posted a thread yesterday explaining how slow energy casino are being with my £100 withdrawal and now I’ve been hit with a ridiculous request and need some help with how to proceed.
Bear in mind I’ve had this account years and years.


As part of our security procedure, which aims to protect both players and operators throughout their ongoing customer relationship; we kindly ask you to upload the following documents on our website under the tabs My account -> My documents:

· a picture of yourself holding your valid official picture ID - document next to face with a note displaying current date



· a copy of the front of the credit card **with the first 6 and last 4 digits visible
· a copy of the signed back of the credit card ** for security reasons please cover last 3 digits (CVV code)



Furthermore, we appreciate that this can be intrusive, however, we would like to assure you, especially if this is the first time you have been asked, that this is not exclusive to Energy but a requirement that affects all online Casino or Sports betting companies that hold a license and are regulated by the UK Gambling Commission.

Therefore, we must ask the following questions to ensure that you are betting within a level that you are financially comfortable as well as remain fully compliant as an audited and licensed operator.

1. Please advise us on one or more of the following for your employment status:
• Employed Full Time
• Employed Part-time
• Self - employed
• Retired
• Student
• Unemployed

2. What is your primary occupation?
3. What are your total REGULAR monthly earnings?
4. Do you have any other sources of income through; Gambling winnings, Dividends, sale of a property, Divorce settlements, retirement income, sale of a company, insurance benefits, private loan, or OTHER? If so, please specify.
5. Do you own any property? If so, o please specify.
6. Are you comfortable playing at your current level?


We also wish to ensure that you’re enjoying the highest standards and that your gaming is safe and fair as you go forward.

Can they really do this on withdrawal and not while depositing? I am so angry I will never play there again

Well not to put it too bluntly, I do understand the point of not getting your money, if it's the principle of going to the lengths of getting your money, looks like your have to jump via hoops to get it, if I was requested this I would just blow the 100 quid & never return.

Were going to this more & more this is what the ukgc should be sorting.... its beyond a joke now.
 
i closed my account with a reputable casino when i was asked virtually the same questions, way too intrusive next they will want to know are you due an inheritance and how much.

As I replied before, they pull the same BS, they just laid it out differently.......screw them, play elsewhere

Thing is - if I refuse will they refuse to pay me?

I am beyond disgusted that having been playing for over 5 years at a place they now decide to ask for ID. They are holding a poxy 100 withdrawal hostage after having deposited here for years and years no issue there are ways of doing things and this has pissed me off to the max.

They also now tell me they have blocked deposits like I give a crap when they were happy taking them before this withdrawal wtf is wrong with the world

You could send that, but it gets more complicated due to them asking questions surrounding SoF so won't be as easy as the other thread. Without knowing your account history I couldn't really suggest if they should pay or not, I would probably answer the questions, then get tough with them when they follow it up asking for proof.
 
I have a 200/month deposit limit on the account and have done for over a year. Very rarely max that out as I don't overly like their site. Almost certain I have done this ID rubbish in the past can't imagine I haven't. I have been using the same card on there for years. Had the account for over 5 years.

Also wondering how to take a picture of my face with ID and a dated document all at once :/

I dont know, I am sure your fellow UK players here should be able to answer that, we are not bound by the UK rules in Canada so the treatment may be different. I would seend in your inforamtion to verify and see where that takes you.

Yes I think they have to play the player.
 
I have sent in the ID documents and the card so lets see what happens next - based on the process so far I imagine it will be - 3 more days to approve those - wd wont be processed. I'll end up emailing them and going apecrap. I will be closing the account after this absolutely no reason anybody should use companies like this.

Take, take, take, then as soon as it comes to giving anything back delays and crap

Tell them to pay you and your close your account. They can’t hold your money to random.
