Yep, the MG brand licence agreement with the IP holders will not be renewed and both games will expire on 27th June

Quite possibly the worst bit of slotting-related news I've heard since Fortune Lounge told me they were pulling out of the UK market.

On another note, I did miss LOTR terribly when it went (so, so lucky on that slot) but realising TDK was exactly the same accepted it as a reasonable (but less played) substitute.

I would be mega surprised if they ditched the 'Shell' for this slot altogether as its almost unique with the in game 'mini features' and 'only child's' make the best slots IMO.

Immortal Romance II or Thunderstruck III (with PJP's) would be THE best business move of the decade from where I am sitting but this is more likely to be wishful thinking!

Same here, i was far more lucky on LOTR. It just seemd a bit looser than TDK to me.

Was same with the original LOTR without PJP, Girls With Guns just doesnt seem the same gameplay

Yup this is correct, there was 2 LOTR slots one became TDK the other became Girls with Guns.

I don't really mind them being gone tbh .. Thought both were hot trash. I do miss LOTR though, and even though people say that Girls with Guns is same, it really isn't. Payout/feature wise it might, but for some players like me, theme is important too. I'm not a huge LOTR fan or anything but it was far better than GWG.

If this ever happens, the only places I'm likely to end up sitting is somewhere within the confines of a Salvation Army hostel.

PMSL - yup me too, secretly wishing it NOT to happen for sanity's sake, not to mention I control myself pretty well atm, this would be time for a new hobby and not pay my Sky bill to get disconnected for the foreseeable.

MG have got to have discussed it at some point given the success of the aforementioned, laziness and clones seem to be keeping us safe for now

MG would be hard pressed to improve on either Thunderstruck II or Immortal Romance. Both are near-flawless in their current format. You'd need to implement a whole new set of features without diverging away from the gameplay too much. Simple is always best with slots....just enhance the graphics, add a new soundtrack perhaps and keep - or improve - upon the current paytable!

Yet again an abysmal failure by some to keep players informed about changes, which for some may come as a nasty surprise, especially those with stored up spins and multipliers on TDKR.

I totally agree with you with regards to the lack of communication from ANY casino on this. I wouldn't have known only for this site. Although I have to say I haven't played this slot much as it kills my balance every time. I hope MG replaces it with a good high variance slot that has the capability of delivering big wins although I very much doubt that.
