I would love to play on a Cryptocasino but have no idea how to do it in such a way that I still stay safe and actually get paid out should I win....

Does anyone here have any experience of which to use and which to avoid and which wallets to use etc.... from his website people didnt seem very impressed with his choice of site.

any pointers would be appreciated.

So basically to use crypto casinos, we need a crypto wallet, VPN, and possibly something like skrill?

I’m also getting fed up with the UKGC, but know nothing about crypto.

someone told me you can by crypto via PayPal now could that not be an easier way? Would that then become the crypto wallet? Sorry total novice here….

yes you can buy crypto in paypal, but you cant make payment, is just buy and hold for investment not for payment, only from USA you can use Paypal to send and receive, but they charger lot more like 4%

I purchase my crypto from Kraken (transfer GBP to my Kraken account then purchase crypto), then transfer the crypto to an Exodus wallet on my iPhone. Any crypto transfers to and from a casino are done from my Exodus wallet.

Lite coin (LTC) seems to be the crypto of choice at the moment for gambling. Low fees and very quick transfer speeds.

Yeah, skrill is sweet a nut. You simply need to transfer your GBP to Skrill and then click on "Withdrawal" at the bottom left and enter your casino's crypto address. Skrill automatically converts your real money to your chosen crypto. This means you don't have to buy crypto as you would have to on crypto exchanges. There are fees of course for their service, but still it's a handy one.

The downside is that you'll need to get an account on crypto exchage to get your winnings converted into real money and transferred to your bank account. I can't recommend any, but certainly, do not use Coinbase! They're expensive, they have gambling transactions prohibited in their terms, and in case you run into a problem, you'll be endlessly chanting with their bots or support from Malasia, India, etc

Friendly note: If you're fckd, right now, and can't control your gambling - playing there will end you!

Unfortunately, being from the UK, you will always carry a risk of the casino using SOW or KYC on a big hit.

Regarding wallets, crypto casinos are much like regular ones in that they accept a range of payment methods that differ from one another.

I would choose a casino based on reputation and ask CS what kind of wallet or payment methods they accept for crypto.

Long term, I would get a cold storage wallet like Trezor to store any substantial crypto sums. Or, you can just convert your winnings into GBP using an exchange like Binance or, as another suggests, through a service like Skrill. (Personally not a fan of Skirll. I have always found them expensive, and they also went through a period of blocking accounts for gambling.)

Is Binance still available in the UK? I thought it was gone (see below). However, top crypto and gambling results on Google are full of shite often.

Wow, I missed that one.

I used BInance this week :) No problems. Perhaps the 'regulated activity' refers to things like casinos. I only use Binance to buy or convert crypto to GBP. Fees are £1 in general. And as you know, crypto is not regulated, so maybe a general transaction doesn't fall under that remit. I did notice the loss of some services like liquidity pools and similar recently. Perhaps that kind of investment would fall under this ruling.

Speaking of news, there is talk at the moment about Binance having financial troubles, and the SEC are after them. But all the SEC will do is force this money out of America.

Also worth a mention for you crypto fans - An executive from Ledger (cold wallet storage) suggested in a tweet that if the US government came for the keys to wallets, Ledger could do nothing but provide them, raising doubt over 'not your keys, not your crypto', and the secure storage of information by Ledger.

On the flip side, blockchain and crypto are going nowhere, seeing steps towards mass adoption. Besides all countries developing their own CBDCs, potentially using crypto technology already in place, VISA and Mastercard are doing international transfers because it's cheaper and quicker, plus Nike and EA Games announced expansion into NFTs.

The trouble is crypto is huge in the States, and any regulation is being stalled by the SEC while The Fed sorts its CBDC. Throw in the financial crisis, and which way crypto will go in the short term, nobody knows for sure.

I must say that I’ve got a relatively low crypto balance so Exodus on my phone is fine for my current situation. As @bamberfishcake suggests above, a good cold wallet is essential for larger balances.

How do you find Exodus? I have not used it. I use Phantom mostly. MetaMask I don't like, but I have, it's not user-friendly enough for me and gives me no confidence. I also have the usual exchange wallets from Coinbase, Crypto.com and Binance, but Phantom recently launched cross-chain compatibility so I can cover BTC, ETH and many others from Phantom now.

Exodus is fine for my needs. Easy and fast to use. I’ve not had experience with any other crypto wallet so haven’t got anything to compare it with 😊

Nope that’s not the problem, in full control of my spend always have been, just sick of the nannying and not being able to do the basics of autoplay and some cheap bonus buys, I haven’t always got 4hrs spare to try and get a bonus or two but do have the budget for some 50-100x bonus buying.

Since the rules changed I’m finding it the reverse, more expensive and certainly more time consuming than before, so thanks for that UKGC!

When I first played at a crypto casino, it felt like a dog that had just escaped its chain. :D I wanted to try everything out, especially the long-forgotten auto spin combined with a loss limit. I think it's super convenient. You can simply set it up and do other things and only come back when you hear something happening, and you won't lose more that has been set.

About bonus buying, oh mate, that thing is seriously dangerous. I tried many of them, and most were paying less than 100x, almost as a rule. Some Pragmatic's were the only ones that were paying over 100x once in about three times. Also tried a lot of Dead or Alive 2 bonus buys for €24 at 0.18 a spin. Then from Hacksaw as well. Nothing! Once even went nuts and bought one on a Nolimit City slot for €750, and it paid €9 back. I thought it'd pay at least 3-400 lol.

I only mostly did extra chilli and white rabbit and found them fairly good value, if used carefully and play the better ones they are overall no worse than playing the games that I’m constantly losing 100-200x without even seeing a bonus.

I used Exodus for investment but they are very slow sometimes, I find Etoro is much better for investment, but not for payment

Cryptopay, Atomic wallet and bank transfer are working well for me,dont use a debit card if you can avoid it.
Took days to get verified at Crytopay but definately worth the pain, reasonably fast and very low charges for bank transfers.

Wow guys, loving this thread, and really want to get back to playing casinos how we used too..

It’s bizzare that the feeling seems the same overall that the UKGC have royally f*+cked up the industry and achieved nothing…:

I have to say I lose more now with them introducing all these stooopid rules than I did before without doubt… and have less fun..

So now forced to go unregulated and poss get shafted !!

Although it all seems so complicated I probably won’t get through the deposit stage !!

Seems like a few of you have already made the change tho !!

I also use a similar setup to others here.
Bank transfer to crypto.com, buy whatever crypto I want (usually litecoin,) transfer to exodus wallet and then transfer to casino.
It seems a bit long-winded but once used to it, its a doddle.
Process generally takes no longer than 10 mins.
Always check and double check addresses as you will most likely lose your funds should any mistake be made!
