hello fellow gamblers,

does anyone know which u.s. banks or credit card companies still allow "gaming" (casino funding) with their visa(s) and/or mastercard(s)?
i usually just use prepaidatm or payspark, but it's such a pain in the a-- when those daily or weekly deposit limits are reached and i have to wait before i can play again. :(
any info, or suggestions, would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

ps. please do not suggest firepay, neteller, click2pay, or any of the web-wallets that want you to add your bank info. (very bad experience with 1 of them...i'll let you guess which)

Citibank allowed gaming transactions as of 6 months ago. That's the last time I tried to use a credit card for gaming.

I would reevaluate your opinion of Neteller and Firepay. Both are used widely. I've personally made hundreds of Neteller transactions and have never had one issue. Click2Pay is less than a year old and was experiencing growing pains last I heard.

Citibank (UK) stopped allowing gambling transactions in September.
So I wrote them a very 'nice' letter telling them where to insert their card! ;)

I didn't know Americans had this problem! What a total pain in the ass!
(I still have 3 UK cards that are OK)

But I have been using Neteller for ages, and agree I have no problems with them (aside from their high account charges). I trust them.

Just for clarification, I assume that the high account charges you are referring to are for USD to GBP conversion. They smack you around quite a bit on that one. Anyone dealing with just one currency won't encounter any fees using Neteller.

Trouble with funding via credit card

Hi Kishette,

To end the problem with my bank credit cards, I simply purchased a prepaid Debit card (Mastercard). I deposit as much as I want and it is accepted at all casinos. You can info at www.netspend.com. Hope this helps.

Yes, you're quite right.
What I was thinking about was; I have a Neteller ATM card which I used when I was lucky enough to visit the USA this summer - and that has quite high charges attached to it.
Mind you, am I right that Americans have to pay for their banking? If so charges would be 'normal' for them. In the UK we're spoilt with not just free banking, but the bank actually paying us to use their services!
And also, once I sent a friend some cash from mine to his Neteller account & they charged 1.9%, or something like that. Still not alot in the 'grand scheme of things'.
Otherwise, as you say, no charges!

I also have used a prepaid credit card by IGEN which I can purchase at Safeway Grocery stores, Rite-Aid drug stores used to have them also. The purchase fee is $9.95 and it's like $2.95 to reload and and Monthly fee of $.4.95. (I might have the monthly fee and reload fee switched)

It works fine... on purchases of $50 or more though I have used it for less. Sometimes it rejects with less, but $50 or more always works.

most banks cut their ties to online gambling processors. When I had a netbank debit card, it worked at all of the sites I played at. This was about 6 months ago. Not sure if they changed it since then.

Your best bet is payspark. If the funding/cashing out delays are annoying to you using payspark, try buying a prepaid debit card (radio shack sells them etc).

Prepaid Debit Card

I use "All Access Mastercard", which I purchased and now load at Check Cashing places. I put in 5K at a time, the charge is $1.50 to load, and thats that. They might charge you .50 if you call up for your balance, however, if you look for your balance online it is free. To check it out for yourself go to www.netspend.com. Best deal I ever heard of. Have a great day everyone.

Dear Linda,
How are you doing??? It has been ages since I hear form you. Please give your daughter a big hug and kiss for her birthday for my son and me. :)

Keep in touch! We miss you! Don't be a stranger! :D

entropay

try www.entropay.com - it will allow you to register your current visa/mastercard with an entropay account and load the funds onto a virtual visa card. In fact, entropay allows you to create as many virtual visa cards as you want  - the only downside is that they charge a fee each time you load funds but it definitely works because i've been using it for months now
