But funny, once a while I dare it (very seldom, almost never!), and I must say in 65% I win! But I am too chicken to do it ofter!

My problem with betting over 40-50 is that psychologically i cant stand it if i lose. I don't care so much about the money. It's the sadness of losing so much money so quickly that shutters me

This isnt a casino bet, but I thought I would share it with you...

About 10 years ago, maybe more (!), I was on my lunchbreak from work. I popped into 'Hills' with about 100 on me. I placed the whole lot on on a dog @ 50/1. LOL - yes 50/1!

My dog and the odds-on favourite were neck and neck ALL the way. It ended in a photo and was virtually impossible to tell who won. I remember my heart felt like it was just going to explode right out of my chest. All I remember was that it felt like a lifetime waiting for the result!

It came 2nd!!!!

Well the show bet is not a bet commonly used here in the UK. I do remember that the bookmakers did promote the show bet a few years ago, but it never really kicked off.

We usually bet to win or each-way (1st, 2nd or 3rd).

I had the bet to win.

The same here. But what shutters me most, that when I dare to bet big and win big and can not stop and lose all at the end. Then, in the middle of night, I remember my HUGE play balance and keep saying to myself: 'Why, why, I didn't cash out??!!'
