Fellow Canadian here. The convoy passed through my city. A Major city. There were a dozen people on some of the overpasses as it went by. Flags waving. But it is certainly getting a lot of attention on social media and the legacy media here.

Biggest truck convoy? That’s what the truckers are saying. The media is saying otherwise.

90% of truckers who move back and forth between the USA and Canada are vaccinated. 10% are refusing to comply with the mandate. 90% of Canadians are vaccinated, not quite sure why people are cheering as we already have complied and got vaccinated as a country.

The convoy is being provided with food and shelter by several food companies and volunteers. Some churches have opened their doors for shelter. The truckers say they’re not moving until the mandate is reversed.

Our prime minister, who lives and works in our capital city of Ottawa and god bless his hair, is in isolation after being exposed to covid from one of his kids. The jokes write themselves. They say he’s got the new variant; truckicron.

I imagine that nothing will happen as our prime minister has taken a hard stance. So when shelves become more empty then they already are cuz there a small fraction missing from the workforce, I wonder how much cheering fellow Canadians will be doing. Heroes to zeroes in a couple of weeks.

Being provided? Maybe. But they're also just straight up harassing and taking from soup kitchens. I heard about it yesterday and here is a statement put out by a church-run shelter and meal-provider to the homeless. Disgusting behaviour.

They said the same about todays protests. Supposed to be 10s of thousands attending again, apparently there were 1600 and 3 arrests. Quite calm and collected for once.

I don't mind protests but there's no reason for violence.
