Joined City Club, a Playtech casino, today after seeing it on Casinomeister's Accredited Casinos list. Only after I joined did I see that they have extremely low maximum wager limits of $50 for blackjack, baccarat, and casino war, the only ones I've checked. So I now gotta meet wager requirements to get my money back! Damn trap! They shouldn't be in this business!!

Why meet WR if you only want your deposit back? They're not going to hold your deposit solely for the fact of you taking a bonus and not playing through it.

Can't you check the table limits before depositing?

Well, yeah, I shoulda done that but I've never had this low of a maximum bet at a Playtech casino before sooo....

Since you can't count cards online, I don't know why they have such a policy.

I understand your frustration. 50$ must be a joke.

I complained through their online support about it and said that I wouldn't have joined if I knew about the low maximum bet limit. Then I asked, "How can I get my $99 (deposit) back?" Answer: "You have to meet wager requirements".

I'll just make a withdrawal and have them to take out the bonus and the $10 I won.

Yep, and if you ask me, this is a place that needs to be rogued because of this action. You don't tell someone they need to wager their deposit before withdrawing even if they don't make a single bet.

Just curious, does their "play" mode reflect the "real" house limits?

The bonus policy explicitly states that if you withdraw before WRs are met you will forfeit the bonus and winnings implying that your deposit should remain intact. I suppose they could charge you a fee for costs incurred thru your deposit if you didnt place a single bet though.

The maximum bet seems absurd for high rollers who are given a measly 20% bonus but IMO are acceptable for ordinary depositors who claim 100% match bonus up to $100. If you are placing a $50 bet, you are already playing with 50% of your deposit.

Universexf6,

This is the first time that I have seen an online casino singling out Japanese players from receiving bonuses. Any idea on why this is so?

No, in fun or play mode, the maximum limits on blackjack, baccarat, and casino war is $300, which I could live with in real money mode.

In City Club's eyes, the trade off is a low wager requirement of 20x your deposit plus bonus up to a maximum wager requirement of $4,000 and all games are allowed. Bonus on first deposit is automatic. But what if you don't want the bonus? The $50 maximum bet limit still stands. Pish posh and all that.

I understand that most casinos wont give you the bonus if you ask them not to do so before making your deposit. Even for auto-bonuses, this should also apply as long as you havent placed any bets. If they tie you to the WRs because of the automatic bonuses and you havent started to play yet, they should be rogued.

And hey, I remember it was the other way round at cryptos. The maximum bet was $50 in fun mode but much greater in real mode.

A definate bait and switch going on. I wonder how many people have decided not to play at this group when they found out the limits were far off from what they were in fun mode.

It's not all that unusual. Microgaming casinos have often lowered the betting limits for people on bonuses. It reduces the ability of players to abuse the bonuses. That being said though, they should still give you your deposit back if you don't play at all before withdrawing.

Things go from bad to worse. City Club casino rejected my withdrawal request of my original deposit ($99) because I didn't meet wager requirements. Damn I'm not claiming any winnings (of $12) either. Wat da ___?

NOW, the terms and conditions state that card games do NOT meet wager requirements. Whaaaat? I could have sworn that I read all terms and conditions throughly and clicked every link looking for any restrictions. I thought that all games were eligible to be counted toward wagering requirements as a trade-off of the looooow maximum bet limits. But nooooooooo....so from bad to worse. Now I'll have to plead with the lobby manager to get any resolution to this. I refuse to subject myself to wagering $4000 on slots.

All I'm asking for is my deposit back but City Club casino "policy" doesn't allow that. Yeah, blame the unmoved God "Policy" for your bound hands you tied yourself.

I'd suggest not placing another bet, and PAB. This group needs to be rogued ASAP.

To be fair (ahem!) to City Club casino, I'll email the lobby manager and state my case first later this evening. But I need to go to work right now (because I owe, I owe, so off to work I go......).

I didn't know City Club changed their terms and conditions. I had a problem with them after a confusing terms and conditions, that I was pretty certain allowed video poker to be played for the bonus, but apparently no 'video poker doubles' meant no video poker. I couldn't really resolve this so I ended up doing the wagering requirement again on another game. Now it appears they only allow slot machines, so it is definitely not worth playing.

You shouldn't have made any bets before requesting your withdrawal, as that may be taken as acceptance of the bonus terms. I checked their terms and conditions and it says "If you withdraw before meeting the minimum wager requisites, your bonus and winnings will be annulled.", so you should be able to withdraw. It was probably just some automated system that denied you. But whatever you do, do not play any more. I think that even if you played the full wagering requirement now, you would not be eligbile for any winnings because you already played on non-allowed games.

I got this email from City Club. It clearly states that I can't have my deposit back (and only my deposit) unless I wagered nearly $4,000 on approved games, namely slots, keno, and s**t like that. This is the first casino I've ever joined that clamps your deposit itself to wagering requirements (on approved low-expectation games) before you could ever get it back.

I think it's time to PAB, don't you? ;)

PS: Instant ROGUEDOM! This is uncalled for. Don't they understand you don't want the f****n bonus? What a bunch of ...well you know.

Oh yea. Why don't you email them back and tell them to show you in their T&C where it shows there's WR on a deposit if you don't want to cash the bonus out and just get your deposit back with no winnings.

I finally sent this email today to City Club Casino requesting my deposit back...only my deposit. We will see what the response is later.

Dear Lobby Manager,

I've recently deposited $99 into City Club casino after following the link from the Casinomeister forum. I didn't realize how low the maximum bets were in Blackjack, Baccarat, and other games until I tried to bet over $50....then I saw the bet limits card.

I do not desire to play with such low maximum bet limits. Therefore I'm asking for a refund of only my deposit of $99. I am NOT claiming the matching $99 bonus nor the $11 in winnings.

I would appreciate your courtesy in this matter.

Thanks,
[Me]

I wonder why Bryan hasn't intervened in this matter. Have you PM'd him? This is very shady for an accredited casino to be acting.

Especially since their "fun" mode has limits that are quite different than real play.

I guess it's time to Pitch-A-Bitch on this! No answer whatsoever from City Club since Sunday. What a class-act these guys are over merely $99. Sheesh!

Again, did you ever PM Bryan? This is an accredited casino, so resolution should be fast once he steps in.

Didnt the rep at this Board reply to you? I had a query on Racetrack casino and he responded to me in a day's time ie yesterday.
