Hey Guys,

I am wondering what your guys thoughts on Casino Background Music are.

I am in the process of building a new online casino and I would like to know what players thoughts and feelings are on the subject of Casino Background music?

Basically,I am talking about is the background music in your favorite software.

Do you like this music, would you guys rather have casino background sounds, or no music at all?

I appreciate your views, and have a great day!

Bruce :)

for me no music is best especially when all you seem to get is the crappy elevator music
as soon as i hear it i have to mute it :D

I would definately say that there should be some sound when u hit a scatter or a bonus symbol, that makes it a whole lot more fun.
In general I like it to be music when I am playing =)

i think the only 2 decent bits of music or sound effects are on the rtg slot out of this world when you hit the bonus feature, it makes me want to  and :yahoo:
the 2nd is thunderstruck through the headphones i find it hypnotic and calming , but thats just me :D

One time I remember visiting a casino that had a place where players could choose what type of online radio to listen to.... 3Dice maybe? ... anyway... if I have the sound on, I'd rather have a choice of background music.

and yes, most casinos background sounds/music are boring and I either turn it off in the software or mute the sound on my computer.

I so know what you mean! :)

Lobby music can be good. Playtech's Bet365 and Tote both have excellent Lobby music, but not in the game itself gernerally. Although maybe a radio link to di.fm or Soma or something chilled that people can optionally click?

An earlier version of BOSS Media software had the option to change from the default and point to one of your local folders filled with MP3 files or WAV files. It would then play these randomly or sequentially as the lobby music, and in some of the games.

This has now been REMOVED from the later versions. I found out with VIP.com and when the old sporting odds casino (where I found this option originally) was upgraded to Paradise casino because sportingbet absorbed sporting odds.

Having this option will enable players to please themselves if they do not like the standard lobby and game background music.

I don't mind what the lobby music is (within reason), but when we're talking during the actual slot play, I really HATE having the lobby music in the background - funnily enough, just about all the MG slots which have this are the crappier ones...

Best by miles is Tomb Raider - Secret of the Sword! :notworthy

Osbournes is good, and Industria rocks!
I also love ALL the sound effects in Eureka!

I mute the computer. I don't like any of it but I do wish that there was an option to pick different music for different games. I really do dislike the music when the reels are spinning.

I guess all music would become boring after you play a slot for so long:lolup:

That's what's nice about 3Dice....they've integrated streaming music from various websites into their client. You can pick and choose what you want to listen to.

Background Music

I'm not sure if you mean the music for each individual slot like Starscape (I put on my headphones for that great ride) or just the background chatter and weird sounds of people (I hate that - hard to focus like having all the neighbor hood kids in while I'm playing) Yikes!

Well, I usually play on mute. After a while, the sounds can get repetitive enough to where ANYTHING will drive me bonkers (with the strange exception of the sounds in RTG blackjack, some times playing really fast and getting a bunch of win sounds bunched up induces a weird crackmouse sensation... but that's the exception).

Background (crowd) noises drive me crazy.

Very short, repeating loops of music are a waste of effort (I'm looking at you, Rival).

Somewhat longer, atmospheric soundtracks can be good (Hitman, Tomb Raider slots). But even these suffer from fairly tight loops.

I doubt you'd be looking at a task similar to composing a score for a movie or video game... which is a pity, because that would be pretty awesome.

The option to tie into streaming music is a pretty good one. Building your own MP3 lists might be fun too (although, why not just use a separate MP3 player...)

Music

make each game sound different with lots of action in the games.not so much music iam looking for but sounds of action to the game.
Please make the games in surround sound with lots of bass ...
so after a few you believe your there
i run 2 surround sound setups
1 for my tunes..
1 for the casino iam playing.
but thats just my option take it as you will.

Music & Sound

The best online slot game music & sound has to be the Cryptologic platform.
The music in their Marvel Games is awesome. The sounds are great especially with the Features, in particular Spiderman Revelations was good. I also enjoyed the King Kong game great musical score in that and the sound effects really brought that game to life.

Some of the worst music I have heard come from Microgaming games like Bob's Bowling, didn't like the Thunderstruck stuff either.

That's my two cents

I tried 3dice in fun mode and there are not many slot games in there. I don't know how to play table games and that industria slot has me a little confused but eventually I'll get the hang of it.
