From their website:

How do I know these games are fair?
All of our games undergo rigorous testing by an independent testing organization - SafeBet - that randomly tests the outcomes of our games and certifies them only if they pass.

It's one thing having the Safebet stamp, and plenty dodgy in it's own right - but claiming that the games are rigorously tested by Safebet - thats just a plain lie right? This is the same Safebet they mean? faux RTG set-up watchdog site that disappeared a year or so ago anyway?

Unfortunately there is no way to be 100% sure that any online casino is playing a fair game, HOWEVER the vast majority of them do in my experience.

I've literally played hundreds of thousands of hands of blackjack accross most of the major software suppliers and I've got no doubt that they are 100% fair.

RTG is actually by far my favourite, it's just a shame so many of the operators cause you a lot of hassle to get paid.

Hi Dirk. I tend to agree with you. But when I first started playing about four years ago, I had some horrible luck with Microgaming blackjack. I would have sworn on my life that it was rigged. And at the time I couldn't believe my suspicions because it was THE major software. Finally, I just stopped playing it. Anyway, do you have an opinion on MG's blackjack on their old software versions? I hate to beat a dead horse, but memories of that experience still haunt me. I do like their Viper software, of course, but I only play video poker on it now and I feel safe with that.

I wasn't really questioning that their game was fair, I'd be very surprised if it wasn't. I also should also say I've never had any problems with Extreme, instant payouts/good bonuses/friendly CS etc. It's just really the claim that their games are indepedently tested by a non-existant organisation that bothers me in it's own right.

I agree with instant payouts part of this, and I don't think that the software is half-bad. Aztec Treasure is my favorite non-MG slot. Seeing how I've played enough at Casino Extreme, and was once quite supportive in promoting them (as best as I could), I can't agree with the friendly CS bit. Henry has got to be the absolute WORST CS rep I've ever dealt with. But, IF you win there, the CS is great in regards to getting the money into your NeTeller account pronto (I'll give them that). But how to deal with players concerns, they're hardly good at that (their etiquette reminds me of the crue that worked at Destination Poker... creepy). This casino could be great (truly) if they would just stand to be a tad nicer, AND if their bonuses were better (slightly). And while it's great getting that 20% once you lost at Casino Extreme, personally, it can't qualify as a very good bonus. Another thing, RTG VP kills the eyes (but you can play forever with the nickel option), and the BJ minimum is too high (I believe it's at $5 min...). So if the slots are getting cold (as they eventually did for me), it's hard alternating to other good games. One last thing, they desperately need to change the front page of the download. I don't mean to get politically correct, but that skanky photo of the girl is atrocious. It looks like it was taken out of a POISON video.

I agree with you there Paul. My first ever play at an online casino was Ladbrokes a couple of years back. The blackjack was 100% rigged and I have never played on any MG software since and will never in the future.

This is kinda getting off topic. But isn't online BJ rigging something that's pretty easy to test and prove? I remember Wizard of Odds tested some site and found it was cheating, and they more or less went bust on those findings. In the first instance, MG I believe only make money from licensing the software, so it being rigged is no benefit to them. But even if it was, a company the size of MG, seems hard to believe they' risk it based on it being externally verifiable by anyone who wanted to spend a few hours testing it. In any event, they're already making guaranteed profit on a game like that, with a house edge, and bearing in mind how ubiquitous the software is, making a massive profit from a fair game. That on top of all the legal issues with selling software that cheats to licensee's. Just seems, that even if MG were that dishonest/untrustworthy, it'd still be a terrible business decision rigging BJ.

I would say that the clip about safebet on the faq was simply missed when they updated the site, any logos and/or links to safebet.org have been removed. If that's all that keeps you from playing there...

I've only been gambling online for a couple of years and unfortunately had limited experience of the old single deck MG BJ to make any real analysis of it.

I found it fair from my limited experience but I have heard a few stories from people like yourself who swore it was rigged. Still I think a lot of people get tied up into thinking a casino is rigged just when they're on a bad losing streak.

Everytime I've been on a real bad run that's made me suspect foul play I've done a bit of analysis and never found that I've been more than 3 SD's away from expectations.

On the other hand I've had a couple of sessions around +3.5 SD's in my favour, which shows it goes both ways.

It doesn't really stop me playing me there, like I say I've not had any bad experiences with them (apart from losing!). Was just fairly disappointed to read that in their FAQ, I'll drop them an email and link this thread - maybes that will persuade them to remove the Safebet info.

Missed Safebet in FAQ

Hi Guesswest.

Oh Dear. We did indeed miss that statement regarding Safebet.

We will get onto removing that ASAP. Thanks for pointing it out.

I should say that Henry posted that about 5 minutes after I emailed CS! Credit to him for getting on top of it so quick. Like I said, I've had no personal problems with Casino Extreme, was just irked by the Safebet reference - with that gone I have no complaints :)

Well you'd think. And that's what I thought too. Until after about a year of getting pounded. After that I was convinced that it was cheating and there was nothing anyone could say to convince me otherwise. Since I haven't played their BJ in about three years, now I just don't know. Anyway, I assume their Viper edition is fair and square because I don't see anyone complaining about it.

Thanks also nafanny and Dirk for your replies.
