Just noticed that Netent has decided to destroy Starburst aswell with their and terrible HTML5 coding or whatever it is named. Fixed number of lines aswell, so it's even useless for getting rid of the last few cents from a bonus.

Wonder what moron decided that Netent should start upgrading their games in that shitty format.

No one's really in favour of it. Netent have taken this decision at the expense of player convenience and choice, and with Piggy Riches getting the same 'upgrade', this seems to be the trend.

It'll be Reel Steal and DOA next, so brace yourself for sticky bonuses and voided winnings.

Absolutely no reason why Netent couldn't have just kept the adjustable lines, it smacks of greed.

And with the other conversions, look at Gonzo's Quest for example. Why does it need the total won amount displayed after every sequence??

They'll ruin their entire back catalogue at this rate.

So true. And the new graphics are so terrible.

I guess Netent had a board-meeting ala

A truly sad time in the slotting world.

Exactly, that's why I brought this topic up a while ago. I think the industry has taken a sharp decline in all aspects in the last couple of years, and it's evidenced by a constant stream of small changes. Yet hardly any of them truly player-positive.

Makes me pine for only a few years ago, it was so different. Companies weren't as blatant and cynical as they are now

piggy riches does 'feel' shittier.
Now also showing ''big win'' popups for what really isn't a big win, leaving one to assume if that slot now happens to reach its advertised potential the moniter will simply implode in glory. Having to watch any win above x2 stake add up slowly unless clicking the screen, making autoplay a pain in the arse which can only end in a tiring wrist slitter period if the bonus is long overdue..
can't wait for the next sesh!

Good god. Can you imagine the annoyance factor when NE decide to implement the 'tallying' win amount after every win on DOA :(

Three Js, hurray! Thankyou for letting me know at the bottom of the screen that I've won 2p!!

Been trying to think of alternative hobbies to replace my slotting (usually 4-5 days from 7 depending on luck etc)

Apart from the obvious tried and tested, watching paint dry and grass grow, I think I may opt for one of the following. All of which would be far more enjoyable than watching jerky HTML5 spins or endless Microgaming '3 reel teasers' which rarely materialise.

* Knitting
* Trainspotting
* Stamp or Coin Collecting

I could pretend the Flying Scotsman' is a wild line, Finishing a row on a baby's blanket is like unlocking an Immortal Romance 'achievement' the possibilities are endless

Normally I'd say beard-growing but that's actually become trendy.

How about bottle collecting? Or if your life is really that bad, there's always Pokemon Go!

The html5 slots from netent destroy every good playing experience that the old versions had. My consequence: A massive decrease of playtime at this slots.

By no means an expert but as I understand it this is necessity opposed to choice as Google (Chrome) are phasing out Flash entirely.

So NetBent have to convert their back catalogue or they are dead.

These aren't straight conversions unfortunately, Notent have opted to omit paylines adjustment entirely on the first batch, whilst also adding needless win animations that stifle gameplay

As if Gonzo's moonwalk wasn't bad enough already :mad:

Flash isn't going anywhere surely? doesn't like 80-90% of microgaming's games still run on flash, and most of the html5 games run like crap on anything other than i7 64gb ram systems.

Yep this does not rationalise why some prat decided it was a sensible idea to modify the presentation. As my Gramps used to say "If it aint broke don't fix it son".

A truly sad time in the slotting world.

yes it is.

I begun gambling online on 2003.
Since then, I played basically everyday.

I cannot even imagine how many trillions of spins I did.

Beginning with the idiotic thing of the Regulamented Countries, going on with everyday growing Country restrictions, and now this new shit....

...for the very first time, I am seriously considering to quit.
I am not addicted, I am 100% sure I can quit.

Actually I am fully busy with my work (time of grape harvest), later I'll spend my free time and my free money trying to help these desperate people coming to our Country thru the Mediterranean Sea.

Hasta La Vista, online casinos. I won't miss you.

I'll be back in one year or two, just to have a look, and I am pretty sure I'll find new rules, like:
- fixed number of lines, all games.
- min bet 2,5€ or even 5€
- WR 100XB minimum (when playing with a bonus)
- WR 10XD minimum (when playing without bonus)
- max cashout 10X deposit
- taxes to be paid on wins.

TBH I am also sure I'll find instant cashouts all casinos.

Not good. I noticed the new Gonzo format was creeping into certain casinos, but some still run the old version, no doubt to be "upgraded" soon. The new version really slows the game down which I wouldn't thought is good for the providers as the players (me included) will soon get bored. The only upside is that Gonzo himself seems less excitable and only seems to moonwalk on the really big wins rather than 1x and anything higher in the old version!

The Starburst new version is a retrograde step too with a min 10 line bet, as it used to be good to clear those last cents/pence on bonuses as mentioned.

Can someone update me on this "html5" upgrade? What is it and how do I see difference and has Videoslot.com changed any game yet? For me this games looks and works same way still, atleast at VS...

Apparently browsers will stop supporting Flash at the end of 2016, hence everybody has to "upgrade" to HTML5. In Netent's case it is a clear "downgrade". Useless animations, jittery spins, endless win counting for even the smallest win, fixed paylines...list not complete.

One of the most hilarious and annoying one is Lucky Angler. In bonus rounds you have some graphic popping up after each spin saying: '7 Free Spins left....6 Free Spins left....5 Free Spins left....' ......we are back to school, first grade and are being taught how to count  ........the idiot who thought that to be a good and exciting addition can only work for Netent.

To top it all off: Free Spins --> no Autospin, no Quickspin, no Spacebar to spin, no quick stop.

I hear what everyone is saying about this
Not plagued many revamped games yet but starburst was always useful for clearing last few pennies.

That said, I usually play in Linux and used to drive me nuts when I'd get "OS not supported" when loading Netent games.

Very recently they've changed it now to allow play. For me that is a very positive thing.

Looking at that makes me actually miss the old Starburst.

Never thought Netent could achieve that, but they've surpassed themselves this time

Okej....hopefully operators dont upgrade, VS still have old version. Wonder why they for ex make the slot fixed on 10 lines. Do the games ran as smooth in new version?

Remember back in 2004 or something when Microgaming destroyed their games, games become unplayable when they updated the "new" Viper software for the first time...the first version of Viper software ran so smooth playing for ex Thunderstruck..the reels bounced so nicely into positions and no glitching....soo good feeling! After 2004 or 05 all slots reels are glitchy have no good feeling..doesn´t matter how powerful computer you have.

This game was a quick "Hi" and "Bye" from the start..

I think NetEnt have gone really bad the past few months !! Bonus games are spitting out around £3 or less every time, no matter what site I play them on :eek2:

I'll give it until 2017 and I might say bye bye to it ALL :D
