Bye Bet365: you only want high rollers

I logged into Bet365 today and deposited. It's only been a week since my last deposit here.
Sadly, for a lot of their slot games, they've raised the betting minimum from 50 cents to $2.50...a HUGE increase!
Too rich for my blood. You've lost a customer!

Bet365 was shortlisted as Best Casino 2022
I had a dab on it yesterday and noticed that the online version games minimum bet seems to have gone up. But perhaps its only the online version? I recall the download version games, we could bet low or has that changed too? I havent got the download version anymore but was considering downloading it again;)

The download version has play tech games whereas I personally prefer the games side for slots. They've opted to, according to live chat, change the betting minimums on several slots. Sadly, mostly the games I prefer and a 5 time bet increase is far too far out of my range.

I haven't played there in a little while, but if this is true it is quite sad. I will have to check it out later to see what they have increased.

Oh I love the Games slots (online) too:D mainly because it has a few of the machines that actually occupie our pubs:cool: but their minimum bet was always high, and now its gone even higher? What a pity.. really liked some of Game slots :)

Bet365 might only want high rollers on the slots, certainly not the case with the sports book though, try having a few decent winning bets there and see how long you last ;)
I like Bet365 but many of my colleagues have had their sports books accounts closed there.

.

It is always strange to see when casinos are trying their very best to scare away low rollers. You know, the big masses of low rollers are much more important for most casinos (financially) then high rollers.

But unfortunately, this is a trend we have seen in Bet365 in the past as well with bad promotions to low rollers.

It's a shame. I like the the variety they offer, some micro, some NetEnt, some Aristocrat...a little bit of everything, and even a playtech side if you choose. But to dep and walk in and see a dozen of your favourite games have gone from a 1/2 buck to 2.5 bucks, well, ouch..it's enough to send me to a competitor, which is sad since they pay in such a timely manner. But if I can't afford to play their games, withdraws become moot.

Recent stake increase clarification

I can confirm the issue you raised above was actually made in error. The situation has now been rectified and although increases have been made, the largest stake would be around $1.50 and not 5 times the amount they were before. If anyone is experiencing any further issues or would require any further information please contact bet365 customer support.

I suppose you mean the smallest:)
It's still too big. I have never bet over $1 in all my years of playing online.
But I do have spent many thousands of dollars.
If I'm not the kind of customer you want then your casino is not for me;)

Have you seen the new slots betting minimum from BetFred? Truly amazing. I think I saw a $14 minimum one.

This is the internet, and you don't have a set number of positions for players to occupy in front of a game, so "slot blocking" by low rollers should not be an issue, thus no need to impose ANY minimum stake increase, whether 5x in error, or to 1.50 intentionally.
You may scare not just the low rollers, but those who often bet at the new minimum level, and feel they will be squeezed out in the next increase.

The comment about high rollers being kicked out of the sportsbook after a decent win will scare off the big sports betting players too.

This move could have unintended consequences - remember, there is a global recession, and many players are having to look for cheaper hobbies, so an increase in price per spin means less playing time per unit of currency deposited.

The "professional" players wouldn't give a hoot, they will carry on trying to beat your promos at the higher stakes. It is the low rollers, the traditional "bread and butter" of the casino industry, that you will get rid of.

Credit where credit is due.
Thank you James for getting back to me and discussing this matter and pointing me in the right direction. Your time was appreciated

Did you find out something that could be interesting to us too, or was it maybe privat stuff?;)

But alas......
Fair warning to other players:
If you have no funds you cannot view the games but you can play in 'fun mode'. Unfortunately, fun mode is NOT a true representation of real gameplay. I tried several new games in fun mode and they have an available stake of 50 or 60 cents. So, went and played $50 in real, but lo, all said games have a beginning stake of $1. None have the 50 or 60 cent bets as seen in fun mode.
As an aside, at a buck, the $50 lasted approximately 10 minutes with no bonuses in any.

Lol Tril, no sorry. Just a correct contact email to the gaming dept and a comp. Though I'm glad I got to try the games, at a buck, it's still not what I'd choose as a low-roller wanting for decent game play. I'm more a 50, 60 cent kind of guy who still likes quarter spins.

This is against the standards of accreditation.

Fun mode lead you to believe that you could play at 60c, but when you played for real, this changed to $1. Whilst this is not about artificially high RTP in fun mode, it is still misrepresenting the "entertainment" as your $50 bought you 10 minutes. If you asked for advice for how to get more "entertainment" from your $50, you would be told that you are betting too much per spin at $1 in proportion to your $50 budget, and that lowering your bet to 50c for example, would at least double your playing time, and probably also make it more interesting too because you will be more likely to hit a bonus round.

It is clear they want rid of low rollers like yourself, and only want $1 per spin customers.

Interestingly, here in the UK staking £1 on B & M machines per spin is considered HIGH rolling, and until recently was the MAXIMUM stake allowed on most slot machines. The minimum is 25p for the £70 jackpot fruit machines, but stakes as low as 2p are found on children's fruit machines found at the seaside.

Online casinos don't need to cater only to serious (and well heeled) gamblers because they can create as many software instances as they need for a game, so 10 players staking 10c per spin costs no more than 1 player staking $1 per spin, nor does it limit the number of additional instances that can be created if a flood of $1 spinners all turn up at once looking for a seat.

It is ONLY a problem for B & M casinos where a physical limit exists on the number of player positions, and having them all filled by 10c players WILL cost the casino money if a flood of $1 players come along and can't find a free slot to play.

This does not seems right raising the bet size like that.
If it was a VIP casino for high rollers then yes of course no problems. Like with All Jackpots Casino (Jackpot Factory) Has got VIP casino. I could understand if they wanted to set the slots for minimum 1,50 or 2,50$ for that sake.
But this is just outrageous. At least we know where not to play unless we are high rollers

Hi hucorte,

This is definitely in error. Please let me know which game and I'll check the limits and change accordingly. I'm currently reviewing this for all games to ensure they accommodate all of our players.

Many thanks,

Aaron

I noticed my two favourite Wagerworks sites recently changed the way you can select the denominations on 'Cleopatra' and a couple of others. It used to be dead simple selecting 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p etc etc coin denomination meaning you could bet £1, £2, £5 etc. Now they've taken this away meaning you need to reduce the number of lines to reduce the total amount per spin which doesn't suit my preferred choice of play.

Annoying.

*sigh*..customer service is going further downhill

So, I get a promotion mailer from Bet365 (read: their newsletter) , relating to the game Siberian Storm. I scour the site and can't find the game anywhere and think I'm going bonkers.
I email support who assures me it's there and directs me where to look.
And well, it isn't there so I email back. This time I get the response that the mailer is sent in error as my country (Canada) doesn't qualify, thus isn't in the games list. Okeydokey.

So, my promo mailer is no good; so I go to live chat to ask WHAT promos DO I qualify for.
You can read the comedy of errors below:

Tracey R has joined this chat.

They really do everything they can to make you stay:D

I thought you said that the casino was too expensive for you now? Isn't there any other casino that have the same games you like to play?

LOL, it is too expensive. They have a great selection of games and quick payouts but also, they let me deposit in my own currency as well as withdraw (ie I dont have to convert to USD or Euro unlike many others). But the bet increment is a killer on the wallet. To give them a fair shake, I did deposit a $50 tonight and thought, well, before giving up on them, I'll give them a fair chance.
And yes, I'm sure some are thinking, well, why deposit if you're going to complain. Well, because if if a casino does right by players, we give kudos. And as players, we're allowed to be dissatisfied as well.
I don't cry foul because I lose. I'm wholly aware going in, that the chances are greater that I'm going to lose; that casinos have the edge, they're businesses and odds are against me from the beginning and I'm ok with that. What does bother me, is casinos providing good service, then letting standards fall. I don't expect perfection, but I expect consistency. There's places I play that have sub-standard service and I've come to expect it. But Bet3565 had good support and service and they're dropping the ball.
Additionally, the bet increase is pushing out bread-and-butter players. Granted, I tried tonight with a 50, gave it a college try. And failed lol. And I know now, that dollar bets are NOT something I'm comfortable doing. I liked Bet365's minimum bets of a quarter or 50 cents. I didn't expect to win, but I got entertainment value for my deposits. At the current bet sizes, I'm not getting that. And it saddens me. I'm not blowing wads chasing the big win..I just want some fun at home with the off-chance of hitting.
So combined with the drop in customer service and the bet increases, Bet365 is no longer a fit for me. I'm not trashing the place. I'm sure it's ideal for those who have the wallets to support it. I'm not one of those people.

And I'm certainly up for suggestions from anyone who knows a solid casino with similar games, quick cash-outs and lower minimums to shoot my business to.

I understand you perfectly!
Why in the world are they changing something that works for everyone? Don't they know that if we win we raise our bets anyway?
It's like All Star slot, that upped my betsize just because I was lucky enough to cash out one time.
At least they puniched me for winning. Why are Bet365 punishing you?

I don't know any similar casino but I do hope you find one.
Now don't give them another penny. They havn't deserved it:(
