Big game hunter scumbags

Hmm well yes as cows are breed for milk and killing or there would no practical reason for having the dam beasts...
not judging your habits or merits
but theyve a practical purpose, or they wouldnt have survived; needless beasts are likely very needlful, or theyd have been weeded out :)

Hmm I can't see how raising livestock, in content surroundings for meat consumption, is comparable to hounding animals in their natural environment to their deaths, not before great duress, panic, and then to parade around the kill as a twisted trophy

There are ways of killing out of necessity, and then there's gratuitous killing like with that nobhead woman. Here's hoping she gets doxxed to high heaven

true - hunting animals in their natural environment is in some ways, much much more humane than how we treat livestock for consumption :p

So sad to see this still happening :(

Being from Toronto, the only animal I would even contemplate killing is a rat - and there are no shortage of those f@#ers

I come from a family of hunters. I even have done it. My uncle was able to get a bull tag last year ( that's like winning the lottery) The whole family went Moose hunting for 4 days and got a nice one. Enough meat for almost a year. Deer, rabbit, partridge. Wild Turkeys. We eat everything we hunt, and never use traps. Hunting for the thrill is sadistic! Plus it depletes the population :(

Same here. I dont hunt myself, but one of my brother, and my dad hunt.
Here in sweden we hunt moose mostly for population control and you are assigned to a hunting-team based on where you live.
And depending on where you live, and the data gathered for that region, your team gets assigned a number of male and/or female moose they are allowed to shoot.
The meat from the moose gets split between the people in the team, with the "best bits" going to the one who made the shot.

Might sound gross to some, but smoked moose-heart&tongue is like the best thing ever, and its pretty rare to get to taste it unless someone in your family is a part of a hunting team.
Its not like you can buy it at the store.
And ofcourse the "normal" meat from the moose is waaay better tasting then 99% of the meat you get at the store.

I would say almost nobody is trophy hunting moose in sweden, its more of a social thing.
After all they do spend 99% of the hunt talking shit over the walkies and theres no shortage of "fikapauser".
Like i said, i dont hunt myself, but i have no issues with how the moosehunts are being done in sweden.

Pretty well the same hunting rules apply in Canada too. The government does geographical counts of all allowed game each year, and where and what is in season, to how much you are allowed. The same goes for fishing. Most is catch and release now when it comes to fishing though. Its expensive to hunt large game though. You have to factor in your license, gas to travel, flat bed trailer to transport a moose or large deers ( bucks) Your food costs. It gets up there around 3k, but if you have a typical party of 5 going, then everyone splits costs.

Another important thing i forgot to add.
I know it works a bit different depending on where in sweden you want to hunt, but in the north part of sweden where i live, its almost impossible to even get to be a part of a hunting team unless you own land in that region.
Since my family owns quite a bit of land in the territory used for hunting by the hunting team for this region, we are more or less guaranteed a spot if we want one.
But if you are an "outsider" looking to hunt here in the northern parts, you would have a hard time.
You can ofcourse buy a spot from someone on a team that owns land, but that means taking their place, and not many are willing to part with the privilege of being apart of a team.
Guess this makes it sound a bit unfair, but it also adds to the social bit, since everybody on the team has known each other a long time, and new members to the team usually come from familys that has been apart of that team for a long time.

And as you said, its not cheap to hunt, so its not like you do it to make a quick buck (pun intended).
All the people i know who hunt do it for the social bit, and because they enjoy being out and about in nature.
Since its so restrictive how many animals each team gets to shoot each year, most years you would not get to shoot anything anyways, so being a trophy hunter in these parts would quickly become boring i assume.
I sometimes join my dad on hunts, but since im not licensed to be a hunter, or to carry a rifle, im just there for the nature&hot cocoa. =)

Could we not have a better system where terrorists, paedos and child killers are dropped into the bush with a survival pack and 24 hours headstart?

I remember reading the short story....The Most Dangerous Game, when I was in University. Probably the most disturbing one I have ever read, except The Lottery.......Here is the synopsis for anyone who has never read it.
The story features a big-game hunter from New York City who falls off a yacht and swims to what seems to be an abandoned and isolated island in the Caribbean, where he is hunted by a Russian aristocrat. ... It has been called the "most popular short story ever written in English."

"is this a casino forum? get your bearings straight please! it would be much appreciated!"

maybe you should use your fingers to click on threads that only suit you, and ignore the ones of which seem to offend you for existing on a forum you don't own, rather than use those fingers to enter a thread you are not interested in, a thread you didn't have to read but wanted to announce how angry you were that it dare exist in your own little world.

"P.S. : will ignore any further comments ."

P.S: it would be much appreciated!

May be you should start using paragraphs from time to time ..... Capital letters would be much Appreciated also !

Enjoy your weekend ...

lol. drunk again are we, oh fragile one?

sometimes i deliberately don't use capital letters, simply for the fuck of it, for no other reason than because this world is so full of petty people who like to climb out of their perfectionist little bubble and insult others for their grammar or spelling mistakes, so i guess my motive lies somewhere inbetween baiting and annoying them.
i (along with doing it again here, just because i now know that you are one of those fragile and weak, easily offended types) stated this in a different thread less than a month ago actually, after Goaty mentioned how he noticed many people in the thread not using caps while forming sentances. I proudly stood up and gave my reason.

on a brighter note, since you wished me a great weekend, i trust that you'll be happy to know my weekend just got slightly better the moment i realized you did respond! i was watching some seriously boring bollocks on the box and forgot that you even existed until you so thoughtfully did so.
what a nice suprise it was indeed! however, i'm not gonna lie, i expected it to appear at some point despite you said it wouldn't. the timing makes perfect sense and like with the timing of your pathetic response to Mack yesturday, I'll again assume it has come about with some beer induced courage (or rage).

So thanks for the laugh, since with that exact reply you literally reminded me as to why i often deliberately don't always use capital letters, which is done to annoy BiTtEr LiTtLe LeMoNs like yourself who are so anal about that sort of thing, and who (as proven) stoop so low as to attempt to belittle others by attacking how they write or type, rather than what they actually write or type. It really says a lot about a person who responds for no other reason than to do exactly that. though please, don't get me totally wrong either. I do laugh at such people, but it does not mean i feel no pity.

all the best m8! do hope to see you in the next thread that you decide to randomly enter and comment in, for seemingly no other reason whatsoever than to show what a nasty person you really are.

adios.
