Once upon a time I really felt good about this casino, just because the rep was quite helpful and normally responded to any problems in a timely fashion. Now, having had extended experience there and many deposits, I no longer feel they are any better than the average "clip joint". I feel, in fairness, that I have given them plenty of time and my money to prove otherwise. I now have to call it what it is.

Here are my issues with them and I'm checking to see if I'm alone on this, but I don't think so.......

1. Great bonuses...but:
Never can seem to make the playthough and I've played a full range of them, up to 600%, but normally take the 110% bonus lately, since there is no max on it. Still does no good, if one can't make playthough.

2. In all my deposits, very minimal comp points have accumulated. In many deposits and many hours of play, I still have only 300 and some comp points and they will not be redeemable til I get to 1000 and then they are not worth jack squat. ($1)

3. Rep will give a comp is you complain, but then you only can cash out 2x the chip value, no matter how many deposits you have lost there. I contacted the chat rep last because I had claimed a $66 bonus on a $60 deposit. I had a little over $1 in my account and showed over $4500 playthough in the cashier. He said it only showed that I had $288 in playthough left. I wonder how many times the playthough counter has lead me to believe that I had much more playthough than I really had. Very deceptive, if true and it may have cost me plenty in the past.

4. They are running the lowest RTP available, I believe. If you log in you will see 2 pears in Fruit Frenzy, indicating they have the machines turned down to the lowest settings.

So, bottom line, they are making their machines as tight as possible, while giving minimal compensation for your play, providing a comp (if you complain) with a max 2x cashout, but good luck with that....you won't generally make the playthough and if you happen to and hit something, you will probably end up insulted after all your deposits.

Something is amiss with this place and I cannot recommend playing there. It just doesn't seem right and they have it set up with all kinds of limits to be sure that they whack 99.9% of the players. Very short sighted thinking, which will continue to drive customers away.

How is everyone else doing there?

Someone who I ran into claimed to have won 800 on their 100 no deposit bonuses and was asking for advice.

Agree - terrible RTP

I have made 6-7 small deposits in order to claim large bonuses, from 200% to 900%. I do not recall ever getting over 25% above my initial balance or getting a 50X or better hit. I agree the RTP must be set very low - I play a lot of RTGs and have never had such bad sessions.

If a casino is offering such large bonuses (even with max cashout) on a regular basis they must be confident of making a good profit from the majority of deposits. I smelt a rat and uninstalled. I then tried slotastic (Jackpot Capital). I managed to get a $10 free chip up to $250 and made 60x playthrough. I was lucky of course but have cashed out several free chips and bonuses from JC casinos which to me is proof that they are giving me a chance.

Never played there and never will looking at the bonus offers all non cashable with insane play throughs. A true clip joint with its gaming licence in "Costa Rica" think that sums it up. With quite a few decent accredited RTGs there is no reason to deposit at such a casino. And yep I agree they will no doubt have the lowest setting they can with RTG.

I wouldnt call them a clip joint, infact Nicolas is a great Rep who has always tried to answer questions from players on this forum as well as other forums.

Im sure he will also be on here to answer these questions. He has never been shy about posting, whether you agree with him or not.

I would much rather deal with a casino that will stand up and post than some of these casinos that could give a damn less and just sweep it under the carpet, just my opinion.;)

I know of alot of players who just like the entertainment of taking these huge bonuses and they know the T/C's when partaking of these massive bonuses, I hate bonuses myself but to each their own.:)

I like huge bonuses, especially when playing RTG slots.
But they doubled the WR for my country, and despite the fact that I lost each and every of my 10-12 deposits there (like a good boy), they do not want to wave that double WR, so I won't be back.
I'm Dutch, so I'm evil!:D
Fine, bye!

i have made several small dep at this casino. i never get to make a withdrawl. i dont like taking the big slot bonuses they offer as they have a max cash out . the max cash out is only 12 xs or 13xs depends on which one you use. im not willing to chance hitting big and only being able to make such a small withdrawl. its true i would have more money to play with BUT by the time you wager and DONT FORGET the bonus is non cashable which makes it really hard to win. its to hard to hit and then by the time you give the casino back the bonus you have nothing to withdrawl. so that being said i mostly play the free slot tournaments.

Maybe not a clip joint but having max cashouts on a bonus where the bonus itself is not even withdrawble, and combined with the play through attatched it is almost impossible to get a chance to win. If people want pure entertainment then in this case it would be just as good just to play in fun mode. But as you said yep each to there own.

I have posted this before, but this is the casino that I made a 35 dollar deposit took their 100% no max cashout promotion. This was my very first deposit. I managed to clear the WR and withdrew 700 dollars. (I could have cashed out more, but started to see a losing trend happening so I quit while I was ahead.) Took some time to get my cashout. Was getting 1 excuse after another. I did finally get my cashout.

Next few days, I went to deposit again, BOOOOOM! My account was locked. That is when I found out I was "Negative Value Player". Like it was my fault that I had played the right games at the right time to put me ahead of the game.

Just becareful with this place, they love it when you lose, and can ya if you win to much. I have read on other forums that this has happened alot. I have only played at this casino tha one time, but that is all it took for this casino to show their true colors.

All the best,
LH

Re: BetPhoenix -

I started playing the free tourneys and then admit the 600-900% bonus was enticing enough to get me to deposit.

Earlier today I deposited $150 @ 900% ($1,350) = $1500. Made it through the WR and ended up with $2,198. So net profit was good. It will be my first cash out from their site, so I am tracking it closely. But then my first cashout any any new casino, I watch closely. Deposit was through QT which is my requested method of withdrawal also.

At this point I have nothing to complain about at all. But if it starts to go south, I will report back. Likewise if it goes smooth, I will post that also.

This guy is gold and I have to admit that he is, without a doubt, the reason I have continued to play there. Unfortunately, all his service does not change the outcome of the games (which are at RTG's lowest RTP settings) or how we are shown appreciation, or the lack, thereof, by the company he works for. Frankly, I'm surprised that a man of his caliber works for such a place. That said, Betphoenix should start paying attention to the voice of the players. I've said it before - their comp settings suck ass!

They could have many more deposits from me, but every time I get tempted, I just go look at Fruit Frenzy, see those two pears, remember what happened to me last time, then go deposit somewhere else. Pretty stupid on you, there, casino. ;) People who run these kinds of joints let the money blind them in the smarts. I can't think of any other explanation. They could have us all if they could figure out the proper payout and service, in such a way that we don't feel like we got skinned. Long term, my friends, think long term....pigs get fat and hogs get slaughtered.

Some other forums actually have them on the "Warning" depositing not advised, due to non-payment, delays and unethical business practices!

Wouldn't someone have to win for that to be an issue? I find that unlikely there.

Here has been my issue with this software, as well as others. Dogboy has been associated with the company that designs the video strips for their slots, maybe some of the program.

Let me ask you this folks: if an operator controls the "can" (the box that the server runs out of) can the server, software be reversed engineered to be gaffed? What I mean is that the casino software can come from the manufacturer as "clean", BUT, if a casino has the money, they can find a software engineer who is capable of rewriting certain code to contain algorithms that will absolutely exclude certain combinations from ever occurring. There are clear instances of this.....go play any of the Mighty Slots group and you will get a sense of what I mean. Jerky reels that never seem to land right, bonus rounds that are clearly a done deal, but yet, find a way to jump up or down. For money, there are lots of guys out there who can make such events happen...or not. Some of you might say, well nobody would ever play there if that was happening. Well, throw a ridiculous bonus at people, who are naturally greedy or tempted and voila, the casinos tray them.

Has anyone alerted Nicolas to this thread? Maybe he can give us some insight.

Nate

It's the end of the weekend in the USA. I'm sure he will be along and I look forward to it. He's pretty much the only thing this casino has going for it, in my book. I'd give him casino manager of the year, as a person and for the job he does. Obviously, there are issues bigger than him and I can't expect him to shoulder that.

Nicolas is good value - a great manager wasted IMO.

In reference to operators being able to 'hire' or 'bribe' software specialists to reverse engineer games and tamper with the source code.....I have to say I sincerely doubt it.

I can't see RTG or any other software provider making it possible in any way to alter or manipulate their proprietary product. In fact, I dare say there are mechanisms in place to prevent that from occurring. RTG might have their issues, but they would be out of business in a week if they couldn't protect their property.

Dogmeister might be able to confirm/deny this if he is able.

Since the games are set at 91%, and the bonuses are ridiculous, I don't see why anyone would want to play there in any case. It might explain the difficulties experienced in actually winning.

Club World set their games at 95% so they would be a far better option.

I thought Dean was the manager and Nicholas was the rep. At least that's how it was when I was dealing with them.

Non payment

I managed to withdraw on a big bonus, on the 31/12. I have not been paid despite contacting and getting a reply from Nicolas. What are you doing with this casino Nicolas.

BetPhoenix live chat has kept me waiting for 25+ minutes....just auto response that all operators are busy helping other people.

My w/d shows as requested, but no action taken so far.......trying to get an update.

Diane

In my dealings with them, it took 5 days before they would start processing my payments. I closed my account months back after some acrimony between the casino, Nicholas and I so I don't know if they have changed their pending timeframe or not.

Hope you all get paid soon.

The general state of things is such that it would not surprise me if Nicolas felt he'd rather not respond. What could he really say? It's just a can of worms. I feel for the guy and I have a feeling that he is not the person accountable to us for the way things are, the way his upper management chooses to run the business end. He would be better suited to a better casino.
