Bryan , dont let these people take advantage of your goodwill. Since they have been accorded an opportunity to redeem themselves yet chose to forego it in future if they wish to be on probation again they must meet certain conditions eg resolving a certain number of cases before commencing the 'probation' process. I find it irksome that they stated there would be a statement but didnt dare to do even that obviously due to some calculations on their part.

One of the conditions of coming out of the pit is to ensure that all past issues have been dealt with fairly. This is not a "Get out of the Pit for FREE" card. We still have the old PABs and will be contacting those players shortly.

I think it would be appropriate to wait until all PABs have been handled to the full satisfaction of the players concerned before removing Betfair from the pit... just my 2 cents.

Casinomeister is here to HELP Players - If a Casino wants to correct past 'mistakes' its only fair that CM gives them a shot. After-all, CM is a Player Advocate. Their Probation was promptly ended when Bryan understood that they have no intention of correcting the very reason they were rogued. Also, coming out of the Pit does not mean Accreditation.

Maybe they will leave it another 3 years and try again. I am sure that won't work either, 3 decades maybe.

There are war veterans who got diddled by the government because they didn't get a pension because they were not making contributions whilst they were fighting abroad, or got injured early on. They are all on the way out, but STILL they keep taking their case to the government at every opportunity some 60 years later - THEY didn't forgive and forget just because time had passed. Betfair could try "bribing" a few key affiliates to let them back on board through generous deals, and this may make them look less rogued as many sites will cave in to the temptation and relist them.

You are right that they have been rogued by a lot of arbitrary/player advocate forums and boycotted by a lot of players, but in the eyes of the regulator's Betfair have (as yet) not done anything wrong. Therefore there is no reason that they wouldn't operate as usual.

Also the betting exchange has additional licenses to that of the other products so even in the unlikely event of Betfair losing their casino license it wouldn't necessarily mean they would lose their gambling license.

This demonstrates one thing, there are still problems at Betfair. How (competent) CS can make such a mistake beggars belief (well, perhaps not, some CS agents at casinos have come out with worse), this should be basic information on your notes, which should be consulted by CS when dealing with your query. It looks like they have a condition that cannot properly be checked, and what CS see is only how long you have been a member at Betfair, not when you first used a specific product, hence the "you have been a casino member since 2010" excuse. This is followed by arrogance, the CS agent believes they cannot possibly be wrong, so stonewalls any attempt by the player to get them to reconsider, such as refusing to escalate the matter to a supervisor, or pass the query over to management. A PM to a rep bypasses front line "firewall" CS, and this is why some matters get resolved as soon as a rep sees it, even if it has been weeks of getting nowhere via CS.

This is getting very ridiculous. Betfair paid me 32k yesterday to my bank account. I mean I withdrawn using credit card, no moneybookers, no neteller, no pay pal stuff, directly to my bank. I hope this is a translation issue, else it would be a clear breach of the terms, and not necessarily related to the fiasco. If this is the case, Betfair screwed themselves by refusing to engage with the PAB process, as if this was backed up by evidence, the PAB would go in favour of the casino.

The rogue pit entry was down to them confiscating winnings from players who took the promo at face value, but broke no actual terms.

If the casino is being uninstalled and reinstalled because it can't be determined which files to delete, this is a pretty clear indication of multiaccounting, and this would void any winnings in any case. If Betfair had this evidence, why didn't they bring it up during their attempt to get out of the pit? They would not have been expected to pay players who had broken the terms by using multiple accounts and/or fake details.

If "insider secrets" are being exchanged on these bonus beating forums, there may be many more cases where Betfair were scammed, and would not be judged liable to pay out.

I find it odd that an "internet deposit" is any different from a "normal" one. ALL bank transactions are electronic, and so all are "internet deposits" in this sense.

If the lawyer couldn't make progress, maybe a better lawyer is the answer. Betfair are bound to have the best lawyers on the case as one defeat would open the floodgates. The bank too would not want to be defeated as they could also find themselves inundated with claims from others.

If necessary, it might involve challenging the ruling in the EU supreme court, which has the power to overrule national policy of an EU member state, as the UK government have found out to their cost on a few occasions.

They then had to stop talking about the issue and it doesn't take a genius to workout that they settled out of court and signed an NDA. It's something that happens in all industries not just casinos.

It's all besides the point, this joapca56 and notty83 are the same person anyway. They tried to scam Betfair (as freely admitted unless you really believe two different people from Portugal put 300 in and took exactly 32k out) and got caught.

If this was a widespread scam, how come Betfair allowed themselves to be dragged down by it rather than demonstrating that they were the victims, not the players. At the time, they were accredited, and would have had a fair hearing with the PABs, and it would have quickly shown up that Betfair had been a victim to a widespread scam.

This did not happen, Betfair decided to clam up, even though they could see that this was causing them to descend into the pit.

I suspect the scams were few and far between, and that it was mostly innocent players who had beaten a poorly constructed promo that had winnings confiscated.

Anyway, I agree with VWM. If this is truly a case of a player misbehaving, then why didn't they pursue the PAB? I am not saying I doubt that those two posters aren't the same people because I'm sure that they are. I don't get it on Betfair's behalf.

I can´t accept that a company takes money from his clients using excuses, things shouldn´t be like that. I work in an Hospital and if a person takes the wrong medication it means we are in trouble and have to be responsible for what we do. The most important thing in a company is to be reliable first. Otherwise no one trusts it, and in the long term that can be costly.

As for that guy, let me assure you again that it isn´t me. If you can´t believe in me, at least try to talk only about the issue and betfair itself, that´s what matters.

All fair enough points and yes lots of innocent players did get done over by Betfair but it all besides the point I'm discussing which is that this poster from Portugal is the same guy who posted and boasted on BB about getting one over on Betfair. I've no sympathy for him.

We have two players, both from Portugal, both deposited €300, both withdrew €32000 to their bank, and both had Betfair recover said €32000 from their bank. One player is an innocent victim, the other is a skilled fraudster employing hacks and inside knowledge in order to escape detection whilst multi accounting. If a casino came out with this, I would be saying "bullshit", so in this case, and without further evidence, this is more likely to be bullshit than an extreme coincidence.

If they were taken to court, I am sure Betfair would bring out this argument, and you would lose. Your bank is a different matter, it was about a company taking money back out of the account without permission, not whether the money was won within the terms of the promotion.

It beggars belief that Betfair let this particular case run for two years whilst they were pilloried for "stealing" €32000 from a player's BANK account. They also took the deposit, which made them look even worse. However, if it was a case of them being scammed by paying out on a load of VIP bonuses on a fraudster's other accounts, the act of keeping the deposit becomes understandable.

Betfair had a chance to set the record straight during their recent attempt to get out of the pit, and had they accepted Max investigating this case, they could have shown that they were the victim of an organised scam, and maybe allowed out of the pit for a period of probation.

They blamed the original fiasco on bad management, and I will blame current bad management for pissing away a golden opportunity to set the record straight and expose this scam organised in the private section of the aforementioned bonus whoring forum.
