i'm sure you guys talked about this before but i couldn't find anything. why did MG change autoplay? this is of course years ago now, but i use it alot and i wish the auto play on every game was the way it use to be where you could entermore details. is there a reason why they don't have them all like that? sorry for bringing something so old up, but it's been bugging me big time for years.

What are you referring to exactly - Slots games?
If so, I think I know what you mean & I find it quite annoying too!
Not sure when or why they changed it.

e.g. Old Autoplay:

Old Attachment (Invalid)

New Autoplay:

Old Attachment (Invalid)

The other thing which really peed me off was when the changed it so that Free-Spins started automatically, and no longer had a "Start Freespins" button. :(
I'm sure a lot of people feel this way - but it's head in the sand as usual from MG...

that's exactly what i mean. when i go for a smoke i always put it on autoplay, and would prefer to enter stop after losing so much instaed of spins like it is now on all the new games. just doesn't make sense why they did that.

The classic 3-reel slots still have the old settings.
For many of the newer slots, autoplay has become a joke, because it does not even skip the animations.
Silver Fang for example, a 50 liner, if you hit a few wilds while on autoplay it starts to show each and every winning line, complete with animations and stuff, takes ages.
I agree, its more than just a little bit annoying!

It DOES actually. Under the OLD system, players could place a "stop loss", so that a bad session on autoplay would halt after a preset amount was lost or won. The NEW system lacks this safeguard, and has indeed caused problems where players have blown their ENTIRE bankroll because they have made another mistake, that of using "max bet" followed by autoplay, and betting far more per spin than intended.
The new system DOES stop automatically for bonus rounds, but only AFTER free spins have played out, and I am sure MOST players would want this to happen BEFORE this, because above all THIS is the most enjoyable part of playing such games, hoping to see that big win with multiplier in free spins. Finding the game has halted after a big win is just not as much fun.

Under the bonnet, there is NO REASON WHATSOEVER for the change, because the underlying game engine STILL supports all the old settings, it is just that the new interface blocks access to them.

well in my opinion i hate it. i'd like them all to be the old way. the casino should makeme happy as the player, and that would really be nice to have. but i'm already over it now.

You can avoid that by changing the slot to "Quick Spin" under "Options".
But on many slots that makes the reels spin so damn fast there is no time to shout "come on!" at your screen for that 3rd scatter to drop in.

It's bloody ridiculous - but MG don't seen interested in what their customers want - so what can you do? :(

Yes, I hear you, its all-or-nothing with some slots. Deadslow or just way too fast. With CentreCourt its almost like turboplay at RTG, when all the reels land at the same time.

Nowadays CentreCourt is the only game I play with quickspin disabled because of the reason you mentioned..:D

Hi All,

I too much preferred the set-up, just like it is still on Thunderstruck...ect...ect

Auto spin and then having to click to activate the free spins (which cancel out the auto spins), is a pain on slots like Break da Bank Again...ect..ect

It's ok if Thunderstruck...ect...ect are you fav slots, but BDBA I play 95% of the time these day. Which means no placing it on 500 spins and shooting down the shops for a pkt of cigs.

The added benefit of that was when I got home it was either a surprise that I had a decent win, or I had to deposit. But least it was fun and exciting.

Cheers

:)

While I don't find coming back from the can to find a big win disappointing, my favourite is to watch the feature. Maybe even capture a screenshot of that big win.

I don't often leave things on autoplay, but occasionally I do, and I like the control of setting a dollar value as well as number of spins.

A "skip animations" setting would be nice too.

If thegame is in Flash then do what I do and play the Flash casino instead of the download. That has the old settings on most games.

Personally I am not a big fan of Auto spin mode, as I like to know where my money is going and in what direction, so I can exit the game and go into something else when it suits.

However I do find auto mode useful for very low rolling on games where you usually have to wait ages for the feature. Then if it doesn't come up after a few hundred spins, then start betting at normal levels.

But I can't help thinking that if your not even in the same room when the reels are spinning, then how can you really be in control of your gaming. Auto play for me is like leaving the central heating on when noone is at home! Or paying to watch your favourite football team play, only to leave the ground early. Sure your team might still win, but you missed the entertainment?!
