I logged into my BC Games account and I was able to deposit/play - didn't try to withdraw though. I wasn't forced to submit verification docs, just incentivized with 15 dollars worth of bonus funds.

And just FYI, the way it works in Curacao; there are four Master License holders who then allow companies like Goldenbet and Metaspins to "sub-license" - so there is no casino with a "Master License" so to speak. But you are correct that some Curacao-licensed casinos have started to update their terms and conditions to explicitly mention they don't take UK players.

Laughable, really, though, as any casino in Curacao has NEVER been allowed to take UK players. They should have always stated that in their terms and conditions.

If your experience is before the update, I think it's irrelevant to what's going on right now. What I'm seeing is people in the last 24-48 hours being KYC'ed, although I was able to login myself earlier without any problems - but I did not attempt a withdrawal.

There is no reason for a UK ID not to be accepted, IMO, because a person may be living elsewhere other than the UK. And in general, there could be a number of other reasons. I also see, they even include an option in case one has a UK phone number.

I use UK id and bills from EU I got accept it on other casinos, on Gamdon I send UK id and UK bill by mistake got accept it, like 2 years ago, maybe they never checked

Tried buying crypto on Binance this morning and kept getting an error. Tried crypto.com and it went through. I'll give my bank a call later to find out exactly what is going on. Maybe a change of banks away from BoS is whats needed for me.

They will continue to clamp down before launching their own versions. They are all in favour of the technology, just not the freedom that comes with it.

Yes, many streamers went to Ireland after the UKGC banned bonus buys, autoplay etc. So signing up successfully from an Irish IP address and not being asked (immediately) for KYC docs doesn't surprise me. Yes I saw these, but I'm yet to confirm any UK players were able to submit UK docs to pass a KYC check. From what I can tell those were withdrawals that were stalled/awaiting successful KYC confirmation

Yes, exactly. I actually have been in this spot a couple of times in the past and had to use somewhat creative methods to get verified - but it's possible. I was paid in full both of the times I was 'caught' playing from the UK. But due to all of streamers (Bandit, Craig Slots, Jimbo Slots, all guilty, can't stick up for them anymore) convincing players it would all be fine, you can now see on other forums tens and tens of players all saying the same thing - some none-the-wiser, some who understood the risks at least.

I don't see any positive outcome; if these KYC checks really are the result of the new changes to the Curacao licensing structure, then it doens't matter how much money the streamers generate for them - they will not break their license terms and conditions and risk their entire business by paying out the streamer's 'fans'.

If, on the other hand, they've just randomly brought in this new rule, I also see little incentive for them to pay out. I have always defended - particularly the Bandit, feel he's a genuine, stand-up guy - but a glance at his forum and how many being are being screwed right now is something that is entirely on him. And I won't at all be suprised if the ASA come down on him like a ton of bricks.

Actually, I'll be even less surprised if we suddenly see Bandit and co vanish without a trace, never to be heard of again.

As no one seems to definitively know what's happening with their sudden KYC escapades, I'm to assume that they are adhering to a 'non-UK please' rulebook, in light of any legislative changes.

Or they're being cautious and pre-emptively and outwardly appearing to be KYC-heavy, before slipping back into old habits once all this upheaval is done.

Still not sure how a KYC can be anything other than proof of being a UK player, unless they'd accept any old document. How much are Portuguese passports these days?

I had no KYC requests but I think I did shove them my other none UK passport a few months back to get level 1 KYC out of the way. But that said im halting play and gonna watch how this all plays out as other changes which are crap now at BC ... such this shit dep bonus. i took it then read terms in 7point type face ;-) restricted games 100s of them loads of potential pitfalls ... and game selection rubbish. It did allow me to cancel the bonus so funds were freed up. Withdrew no issues - this was after the "down time for maintenance"

The rake back is going which on lower VIP levels is crap but higher you got the better it was - think the daily weekly and monthly rake back is also getting hit. They seem to be going for a more standard bonus structure rather than it all tied into wagering to release. But at the same time to stop multi accounters abusiing it they make the terms well in there own favour and ramping up KYC for many. I took me money and run. Now these jokers replaced it with a standard one. So it could be that many players are claiming it every 5 minutes using new accounts, and to stop that from happening KYC is a solution.

For cashouts from no-deposit bonuses, they mention KYC in the terms.
