Sniffing around for recent news on the new Curaçao licensing and I ran across this in a "Anjouan vs Curaçao"
Until we have good reason to believe otherwise I would advise any player looking to deposit at an Anjouan-based casino to spend a few sober moments asking themselves if they really want to put their money in a casino that has intentionally chosen to get licensed in a "jurisdiction" that advertises itself as being more lax than Curaçao.

at a Cyprus-based law firm:As we had pretty much expected it does look like Anjouan is being sold as a "Curaçao Lite" offering. That may be good for operators but for players? Anyone that refers to Curaçao as having "rigorous regulatory standards" obviously doesn't have player safety and fair treatment very high on their priority list. Given that this is coming from a Cyprus-based firm that should surprise absolutely no one. Each jurisdiction has its unique set of advantages. Anjouan is known for its cost-effectiveness and faster approval times. Many gambling startups may automatically consider jurisdictions such as Curacao, and while they may offer similar licensing options, the process and acquisition of a licence can be costly, complex, and time-consuming, with more rigorous regulatory standards. The best choice depends on the specific needs and goals of the operator.
