Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden are the proud parents of a newborn baby girl. The infant, second in line for the Swedish throne, was born at 04:26 this morning, February 23rd at the Karolinska University Hospital in Solna. She weighed 3200 grams and was 51 centimetres long. The baby girl is the first child for Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel, who married in June 2010.

Congratulations to Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel. :)

They are truly a sympathetic and likeable couple and very much in love.
If you have a romantic streak, please watch this beautiful part of their wedding.

I believe they share some common characteristics. They are both very genuine, natural and warmhearted. They are also down to earth and have a great sense of humour.
It's also a fairy-tale love story that appeals to most people including myself. Daniel was born in a middle-class home in a small village. He was the personal trainer of Crown Princess Victoria and even if he had a clean history, no scandals etc they naturally had to fight for their love.
But you know true love conquers everything (or is that conquers all?) Well it's so romantic. :)

Who doesn't want to be a princess:o

...or at least I wanted to until I grew up.
Sure they are nice people but I'm not so found of the system we have in Sweden
The Royal family has no power at all. I see no point with their existence, more than
for marketing purpose.
Another expensive baby is born. Welcome!
But that's just my opinion.

Well actually I pretty much agree with you tiri :p I'm definitely not a royalist and have no interest in the other members of the Royal Family. I just think they're an exceptional couple and I can't resist a true love story. :)

True love is great (whatever it is), but why did they have to make him so ugly just to fit in?:eek2:

Congrats Sweden ;)
I'm originally from Denmark (Now in Canada), and let me tell you....the Danish crown prince/princess are a lot heavier on the tax payers than the Swedish couple. That woman is a frigging baby factory (Is that a general australian thing, or just her ?). Maybe they'll eventually catch up...lol
Anyway....royalist or not ...they are...much like the danish couple a very down to earth, likeable couple, and I wish them all the best, with the little new one.

I started looking at some of the other royal weddings on the youtube page and have to say that the Denmark bride Mary is a real looker!

the beatles were wrong. "can't buy me love" ??? kinda looks like you may well be able to to me.

sorry, but that prince wouldn't be able to get laid in a whorehouse if he had $50 dollar bills shooting out of his ass.

but since he's "prince", he gets to nail HER???

Hahahaa....well. The funny thing is, he wasn't a prince until she married him. She's born crown princess, and he only got the title due to marrying her.

Yes, she is an absolute beauty. (Is that also true for Australian women in general, or just her ? )

Damned good choice on his part - I thought she was maybe Scots when I saw her father wearing the kilt as he walked her down the aisle. Go Aussie!
