I am sure nobody would go out drink driving but how many of play the slots when we have had a good drink or two to many.

Mad with myself on Wednesday as i had a decent day and my balance reached about 300 euro playing my 30 cent bets with the odd 60 cent.
Come wed night decided to open up the Captain Morgan's and yep started to get brave and bets became much bigger and of course before i knew it i had no luck at all and balance was a big fat zero.
Maybe casino's should have a button you can press to say you can't play if your pissed lol

Anyway lesson learned for a week or two anyway.

Now I only slot when I am sober and if I do have a drink I keep it to the minimum. Captain Morgan's and Coke is a good drink though

We (or rather security staff) used to use the American based sobriety test at our land based casino when customers were 'borderline' or hid it well, both for their own sakes and the benefit of other customers.

Saturday nights were fun as I did not work in the 'pit' that night and helped cover reception, some great sights

DANGEROUS game, Been there and done it and still not learned my lesson, Lucky I was not on the drink yesterday or that small 140 I took out would of been a 0, Or won aload more and lost more and been more pissed off,

With the drink driving business I have also been there and done it, But excuse for that was I was young and did not even have a licences, Would not even dream of doing that now days but plenty do,

@conker Them brethalizers are about as much use as a frozen hot water bottle lol, I might even have to come back to the thread as the withdraw yesterday is still pending alow I just had confirmation that docs are approved? So why the hell is still pending, This just goes to show they could of withdrawn it, They did last week on a sister site, I received email confirmation and was out striaght away,

Funny thing is I always used to win hen I was on the juice, Now days I hate waking up knowing I had blown a good win away

I was very ashamed of this, but in the past I won an amount in the thousands, and then one wasted night I reversed it and blew it all like some kind of deranged moron. It was great fun for a while..

I ended up doing spins over £100 on roulette by the end of that... Quite the experience.. Seriously.. The next day not only was I hungover I was absolutely devastated..

Luckily a week or so later I had my only other win in the thousands from some free spins at another casino. Banked. So it kind of made up for it.. But I will never forget or repeat that one.. It was a real life lesson for me.

I nether forget the time I won near on 3k from laddys, I put no more than about 50 in and this is from all deposits since I started about a week b4, I did not now how it works like I do now, I put near half back in the same machine,

I would not of done that but I thought paypal would of take there charge from it, I wish that was the case as would of been over a 1k better off, Only to find out that there was no charge for it to be put back into acount, This was way back in the day when it was like instant withdraws, Why did it have to happen on the biggest win I ever had? & did not no what I was doing

But drinking and gambling go hand in hand. Driving and drinking do not. I have also woken up in the morning to my horror to find out I had nothing left in the account. My poison is wine and lots of it. I look at it this way -- if I had to pay the drinks at a casino, hail a cab back and forth -- it would be the same. Only difference is I don't have to hover someone to finish up on a slot machine.

I'm not much of a drinker although love a beer. My problem is slotting when tired. I mentioned before in another thread that I nearly blew a grand slotting all night after a 12 hour shift. I do not think rationally when tired. Thankfully Terminator hot mode reduced my losses to £150. Never again as working in a care home pays less than £1000 a month lol.

My other vice is Vaping! How I love all the different flavours out there! Much better than smoking and my girlfriend and I recently attended Vape Jam at London Olympia which was a terrific event

I know I have tried a couple of times after I've been out partying, but I can hardly see the screen so I just go to bed instead.
It doesn't happen often and I have been teased in this forum several times before for not drinking. I can't even see a reason for it when I'm alone. I just get tired
Maybe it's because I'm older and get sicker the day after or I've growned up finally. I know I want to be in control over what I'm doing, and I finally am.

I don't judge anyone else though. I know it's common, but it's sad to hear stories where people have lost control when they are gambling because of alcohol.
It's normally hard enough to stay in control without.

I love my vaping too but at least it does not make the mind think your invinsable playing the slots like the demon drink can thats for sure.

I normally if i am drinking and playing might have 3 or 4 so still in control but the other night i had consumed rather more and i pressed the wrong button on Jurrasic park and was playing 7.50 a spin for a little while without a win and didnt see my balance diminishing.

We do live and learn and even if I claim to never lose control drinking when playing I can assure you that I've done my fair share of really stupid things when drinking. I'm no saint

Tirilej I know a few people that don't drink and I have quite a lot of respect for them. I also know quite a few that get rip roaring drunk and pass out and dribble. I don't have respect for those people. My ritual for slotting last year was to make sure I had a pack of ciggies a glass of wine and off slotting I would go. I didn't really get drunk that often. Some of my drunken sessions were successful others not so much.

My new ritual involves having my e-cig close at hand Menthol flavored at 24mg strength nicotine and a glass of Ribena or Orange squash. On occasion I might have 1 glass of wine or 1 beer but that is about it. I have seen the light and learned from my mistakes (and Ribena is very good). My new ritual is working quite well in the health front as I don't get the munchies and I am no longer hacking up my lungs but my play hasn't gotten any better. That could be down to coldness of the slots that I am playing. Hopefully the universe will be kind to me soon (it has been very bad to me slotwise for going on 6 months now).

I live alone, so sometimes I do drink alone. 4 cans and a $20 - $50 deposit is my Friday night out. I am bummed when I don't make it through the first beer. I've did stupider things than lose $20 when out on the town.

The only real occasion I can recall with drunken slotting was playing a very large bonus I never expected to win, I think I just kept drinking to keep going. I also indulged in drunken posting as I went along. That story had a happy ending at least.

KK even commented he never took me for a pisser. I don't think I am, but I am not a teetotaler either.

I've lost my need to finish a WR in a single session.

If I only have $20 on a weekend, I will usually choose a deposit over beer.

Back in 1994 in a visit to New Orleans where the drinks were free, I did try my best to drink as much as I was losing at slots. Here in Ontario, it is something like 3 drinks served in 8 hours, even for flyweights, hard to be drunk on that.

Yup. Totally understand where you are coming from. As long as we view it as entertainment and have our limits it's not such a bad thing. I enjoy playing when I am having a couple of glasses of wine and ... so be it ... if I lose because of it that's fine -- it is my entertainment.

I always get in shit for dooping the waitresses. I go around to all of them and order drinks. Then I go to different bars and do the same. After im pretty loaded I start getting warnings to stop being sneaky lmao

Ive done some dumb things when drinking online. And I dont mean $8 bets. I once closed my account on one of my fav casinos after losing a couple hundred bucks...which isnt much and I was a winner in the casino. Huge facepalm. Especially since they held me to it and I cant play there ever again

When i first started gambling i got wasted and tried to play back all i had won. I was in my 20's . Lucky me i was with my mom who made me sleep it off. Since then i haven't played while drinking. I don't drink now because of my heart meds but i have done stupid things twice and i learned a lesson. I get sick thinking about the amount i played back. Let's just say, i wish i was drunk then.
