Well everyone, I've been a member of Casinomeister for a couple of years now. I tend to float around not posting much but have enjoyed this community very much. Like some who have come before me, I have noticed that my gambling has gone a bit out of control. I noticed this when I wanted to save for a particular holiday but continued to gamble more than I could afford. Tonight I gambled my rent and came to the conclusion that I am no longer in control. I'm lucky, I think, that I have come to this conclusion earlier than some and maybe later than others  I have contacted my regular casinos (32red, and clubworld group) asking them to close my account and bar me from re-opening. I will admit that the biggest wrench was saying goodbye to 32Red. IMO they deserve the award of best casino and I will miss them.

I'm posting, not to talk about my decision to quit, but rather to simply say thank you for all the enjoyment I have gained from the community and I sincerely wish all of you the best of luck in both your gambling and lives in general. I'm not sure how often I will pop back in but imagine not so much. I am unsure how to do this but request that Max or Bryan disable my access to the gambling threads. I will miss the discussions (and even the b**ch sessions) on this forum.

    Take care everyone.:)

Thanks Harry. Just realised it's a three days before my birthday so am going to miss free chips . What timing I have :p Am off to bed (late here in NZ) and am feeling good about my decision (even though I'm having to figure out how to get rent ).

Get a good rest. You will feel better when you get up with this decision behind you-then you can think clearly about where/how you might be able to borrow the money for rent. I have a feeling it will work out for you:)

Welldone Taysh, you have probably done the hardest part, which is making that decision to call it a day. I hope you sort out your finances soon so that your overspend becomes a burden. Best regards :)

Gambling the rent money is for sure a red flag warning you , Taysh...and well done for recognising that and deciding to call it a day.

I wish you the strength to maintain your resolve.

It is a good sign that you realized spending your rent money was not the right thing to do. And an even better sign that you know what to do to stop yourself before it was way out of control.

I wish the best and the strength to over come this, you have already completed the first and hardest step, admitting to yourself it was starting to get out of control. You can beat this, it is going to time but you are already half way there!!

    Best of luck to you.
