I have been playing 32 Red for years & I guess at some stage I should have read some emails from them but I get so many I just ignore.
Anyway I have been playing happily even tho not withdrawing anything but spending approximately $300-$500 a week. I went to log in yesterday & I have been locked out of the casino, I contacted customer support to ask why. Seems that they have not been dealing with Australians since the 23rd of February, new owner or something. I ask why I wasn't locked out of the casino then & was told they sent me an email. So they have taken hundreds of dollars from me & I'm guessing if I got that big win I wouldn't have been payed anyway. Also before they locked me out they asked me for all my verification stuff again, seems a little strange.

So now, what is the best casino an Australian can play :)

Unfortunately every single UK/Malta/Gibraltar/Alderney Licensed site (those that abide by the laws of the jurisdictions they market to) have all responded to impending Australian rule changes that effectively block online gambling from foreign sites. This is a domestic issue for you - ALL sites will have blocked you now aside from 32Red group. You only have your domestic market to look to now unfortunately. There are a few sites still offering your market but these will be Rival, Betsoft or RTG ones that are Curacao-licensed usually and won't carry a 'respected' license even through in some cases they may be OK. KasinoKing has a list of these if you search his posts here. But your days of Netent, Microgaming and Play N Go slots etc. are over I'm afraid. :(

I was playing there myself. As I'm Aussie
If u like micro gaming stick with guts.com or videoslots.com there just as good
There are more that still accept Aussie if u look in the accredited list cheers

OK for now - but not for much longer :(
What Dunover said is spot on - ALL casinos with NetEnt, MG etc... WILL leave the Aussie market buy the middle of this year.

Well, at least that's what I thought until yesterday when I was contacted by a new brand which claims they will have MG (but not NetEnt) for Australia moving forward - I'm going to be investigating that...

I like to stick to only one casino & I like microgaming games. I also have Red Flush, is that still safe or shouldn't I play there either? I'm not up with all the technical stuff, I just like to play :)
Edited to add: I want a casino I can download so I just have to click on the icon to get into it.
Edited again: Sorry KasinoKing just saw your post. I guess my gaming days are over then unless I can find a few games I like elsewhere. My faves are Adventure Palace, Stash of the Titans, Sure Win, Avalon & Thunderstruck :)

Yes, well done for checking the accredited list out, I wish new people would do that more! It may not be up to date though, depending on whether Bryan has updated the Australian side of things.

Why are they doing that? Why are they not accepting Aussie players or soon to be not accepting Aussie's?

In my personal opinion it will be completely safe to carry on playing at any MG casino you are already a member of.
When they close, they will do it the proper way - give notice and allow all players to withdraw their funds BEFORE closing down the accounts.

Due to your Government thinking it is harder to tax online casinos than it is to just ban them.

1: The government of Australia found out online gambling exists.
2: They think of it the same way every government has ever thought of everything, how can we tax that?
3: They couldn't find an efficient way to enforce a tax regime against companies on another continent.
4: They moved on to the second favourite activity of every government, the Ban.

but this happened in Europe too, and after the Ban, came the License, so I think in the future, Australia could be pressured into having a license framework for foreign Online Casino operators, and in that way they can tax them without having to do any work for it.

As a player in Australia this news comes as a bit of a shock! I knew 32Red was closing down for us but not pretty much every thing else?

Those guys at 32Red were good about it, got a number of emails from February saying to cash out before April 3 ( when accounts would be made inactive ). I was told via chat, that anything in those accounts after that date would still be there for collection if date was missed ( you would expect so ).

Can a senior person on the forum give us a list of dates when the most popular online casinos will start to block Aussies? Two others I sometimes use are Spin Palace, Jackpot city. No word from then yet?

I'm not a senior person, at least not on this forum, but from what I've read on this subject, the ban is expected to be officially passed as a law by June, so after then, anyone still accepting Aussie deposits and play would technically be braking the new law. As mentioned, that doesn't mean there won't be any online Casinos to play with after that date. If I were you, I'd start searching around for new places for after the summer. This is just my opinion and I wish you good luck! There's also talk that the reason 32Red have pulled out is not the new law but the fact that they have been taken over by Unibet, now Kindred Group, who already have their own sports-betting thing going on down under.

You've come to the right place though, and the more senior and knowledge members will be able to give you more info, there's also another thread about this on the forum, so you might wanna look it up

I'm not sure that is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

I came across a transcript from a session of Parliament where they were discussing this, and the main issue seems to be the following:

1: The amount of visible gaming advertising is leading people to believe that gambling is the norm. Young people in particular are apparently susceptible to this not-so-subtle form of enticement which suggests it is very easy to win large sums of money.

2: Online gaming is ruining lives as people are betting more than they can afford, and are becoming addicted to the chase, so to speak. However the effect is not just financial, but psychological as well and impacts more than just the person gambling.

3: The aboriginal community in particular is badly affected by gambling in all forms and this ban will offer them protection.

No-one is denying that Australians in general like a flutter - the Melbourne Cup, AFL finals, etc. etc - but it is believed to have got out of hand.

Cigarette advertising has been banned, and cigarettes themselves almost taxed to extinction. Now the government has set its sights on online gaming. Will alcohol be next, as one could argue that all three of these pastimes can have an injurious physical and mental affect on a person.

The argument is thus: Should a person be totally responsible for all their actions - negative or otherwise? Or in extreme cases where there is a physical/psychological impact, should the government be able to protect people from themselves and in so doing, create a Nanny State which oversees all areas of our lives?

Well, i live in the UK, and there's no media there that is not affected by gambling ads. They are on almost every channel and newspapers, but not only do they advertise, but they have articles on sports events, tipping who will win, what bonuses are available, what bonuses are available elsewhere, links to BBC's football tips, it's all connected and very much the norm. Even the sports commentators mention it, how much you could have won if you had predicted this or that...
I think kids start with betting gum or whatever they can find until they're old enough to open up an account, but betting is something normal and already integrated into watching & following sports

Thankyou all for your answers, makes a lot of sense in all ways but being a senior Aussie I just wish the government would give us a life. I'm guessing if the price of smokes goes up anymore I won't be able to afford to gamble anyway, lol.

Videoslots, Rizk, Guts, Betat, Omnicasino are alive for me, so is 3Dice too. I was fuming cos of how greedy Aussie government are!

See this, in most pub and casino you will get robbed 12.5% off RTP which mean it leaves you with 87.5% RTP or less in jackpot either in standalone or linked. For example 4 jackpot in standalone or link you lose another 2% which take you down further to 85.5% RTP while 2% goes toward jackpot. Australia government are very cunning. I don't like how government runs. It just very evil.

I absolutely loathe our government. I spent most of my adult life abroad, and when I returned home I couldn't believe just how legislated our lives have become.

My belief is that a government should not be lecturing us like naughty children on how we should be living our lives, as we obviously can't be trusted to make decisions for ourselves. They are slowly, but steadily, leaching all the fun out of life.

This latest ban is just the icing on the cake. In the transcript I mentioned above, one solution mentioned was for people to go to the races, and gamble onsite.

Have these idiots ever visited regional Australia? It is a totally different place to a major city which has all amenities within a reasonable driving distance. And even if one lives in a city, it is not always convenient to get the time off work, or even have the inclination, to join the hordes attending such an event.

I genuinely despair at the direction Australia is taking.

yeah, what happened in the USA is exactly what is happening in Australia, so you can read it up on that to see what the situation will look like in Australia. Your only hope is to deposit via Bitcoins on reputable Casinos that will allow it. I'm sure the government doesn't think they're doing anything wrong, part of the job of a government in a capitalist society is to generate income revenue from its citizens, they're not really working for you, but for themselves like any other business, so it is much more interesting for them to discuss how much money Aussies are gambling with, than to think about the moral and freedom aspect.

And trust me, with all the stuff that governments do, Australia is still a nice place to live. I'm from an EU country, and the stuff our government is pulling on us every month is much worse....

I was thinking "you can play ar CR, they are local, right?". Thats what they say all the time, like when I asked "what if I win jackpot?" and CS agent said "we will fly you to Australia to give you the money".
I wanted to be sure, went to Casino Rewards site, looked around for an address, and I think it is Technology Services Trading Ltd. Palm Grove House P.O. Box 438. Road Town, Tortola Virgin Islands, British.

So not sure, but I think they wont ban Australians.

I think it will be easier to fix the problem in Australia than in the USA.
The way things look like at the moment in the USA it appears that it will be left to individual states to handle it, which means they could easily end up with 50 different regulations.

The government looking after the Australian people, what a joke lol

Mr Turdbully looking after himself only, after all he was always a business man.

Australians have to work until the age of 67 and men 70 before they can access their super and pension.

Paying out thousands in tax every year to only get less than a quarter back!

They should focus more on the drugs and alcohol problems which is out of control with mainly young people in Australia. ( creates violence and death)

Playing at online Casinos does not kill other people but it might hurt your wallet if not careful lol

I loved 32 Red myself and all the other ones like Video Slots, Rizk, Guts, Betat, Dunder and many more. It will be a big loss of great Casinos for me :(

I am sorry but this government is stupid of stupidity. Never voted for Liberal :(

I noticed you have Joe Fortune listed, and they look like they have some MG. Should we be suspicious of this do you think? Might they be pirated or something?

I was thinking MG would would want to protect their reputation and stay out of black markets.

BTW great effort on your site, appreciate the help.

As others have mentioned there will be many online casinos that will continue to operate and accept money from Australians even when the law passes. I expect that the trusted, reputable casinos that get a high review rating on this site would be following the letter of the law and shutting down.

From my point of view I won't be going to ones that stay open after June under what ever excuse, people need to be careful and think about this, surely those outlets will be the dodgy ones that will just as easily take your winnings away from you and then make the excuse that you the player have in fact broken the law.

I have been playing online slots since 2015 so not for long, I had crazy wins in that year but far more losses recently, what can one do apart from going along with changing circumstances. I certainly won't be going back to slot lounges/pubs........ there is simply no comparison to the experience. I suspect the government's legislation also heavily considers the budgets of pubs and clubs many in Australia which have slot lounges. Yes there is a problem gambler issue with some of them, the government ( conservative/business/supposedly free market? aren't concerned about those people. Those pubs and clubs would have lost a bit of their revenue from players staying at home over the last few years. You won't get me going back in there.
