YouTube - they did it again. Banning Slot Reviews

This viewbotting crap is so bad on twitch. I remember there was one time where twitch was able to close down a big viewbotting site and the casino section was actually usable. Now on to why I said this... There are two restreamers that have a combined viewer total of over 4400+. The person that is being restreamed... @interlog :/

I tried to report both of those channels but as per usual, it is like twitch never does anything about them. GRRRRRR

Yep its very bad. Twitch even sued and won against these viewbotting companies so the new ones that started back up must be able to stay very hidden.

A few of us were chatting today and someone sent me a picture of someone stealing Billy_Goldblum old avatar and naming himself something the jew too. It was a Russian channel too.

Looks like any legit channel that has any type of viewship and acitvity is getting targeted.

Actually like 6 months ago wasnt there a bunch of bot channels pretending to be other streamers? So looks like they are back

Well, this is exactly what I said to Webczas in that infamous video interview - remove the channels who do things properly or at least try to and then see the scammers rub their hands in glee as they can now populate the gambling video niche on YT. Ridiculous really, we saw it coming. It's a case of 'follow the money' and see who's benefitting from it all - try and tell me that some of those weren't behind or joined in the 'anti' campaign.

Yep seen that channel on Twitch too restreaming my old content. Difficult to close them down. What is worrying is that the bot they use to artificially boost the viewing numbers is quite intelligent in terms of discussion!
 
I just went into that channel who is pretending to be interlog and the chat is actually full of hired bots chatting. So now I know how these other big channels are doing it. Getting 500-3000 viewbots and chat bots to make their channel look busy.

I never knew it went as far as hired chat bots but a quick google search told me there is services like this designed for twitch to do exactly that.


Awful.

3800 viewers... hundreds of chatters but only 155 followers. Good god.

Just had a quick look at them
Nickslots still not CAP compliant (theres a surprise)
Slotspinner is fine as not showing a bonus offer
Also had a quick look at a couple of 'related' channels
jarttuslot is CAP compliant
Letsgiveitaspin not CAP compliant
ROSHTEIN not CAP compliant

and they wonder why they keep getting kicked off.

Irrespective of the fact whether those channels are or are not CAP compliant, that wasn't the reason they were closed down in my opinion.

Nickslots appealed and got it back . Took about 2 months. So it's possible.
 
Sadly its getting really bad. These fake channels are hosting me with viewbots and then reporting me saying I am using viewbots to try and get my channel shut down. They have started doing it to a few of my friends too. They are trying to choke out the entire bottom section below them so they have no competition.

And since Im fairly new to streaming it does effect my viewers, I can tell. My channel is small and I am ok with that. I usually average around 40-60 viewers but since this all started the numbers have dropped. Its because the newbies or not so informed people will see those channels with 6000 viewers and think oh must be good and go and lurk in there. Which is exactly what these fakes channels are doing. There is usually about 11 of them running all at the same time which is enough to take over the first 3 rows so when people come to the section and scroll down all they will see is these.

Its too bad for the guys trying to build something. Luckily for me its not my day job and I just stream because I like it and Im lucky enough to have some good people in my channel, that its ok for me.

I do report the channels from time to time and since its against twitch rules to have viewbots, I dont understand why they just let them run rampant.

And yes I had no idea that channels can use chat bots too but it sure does explain alot to me.

I don’t have or want a Facebook account, is there any way of watching without one ?

I have been reporting his channel along with several others for months. His, along with other gambling related videos are toxic to the Youtube community and they should not be gaining from it.

Dazza G and Stop and Step are just two of the most recent terminations we have secured as a result of our work and there will be more to come most definitely.

If you want to show your gambling wins, either to show off like an egocentric idiot or gain malicious money through other peoples losses through affiliates then do it on a plat form that isn’t a platform that caters for children

The subtext of his post seems to be that only content that he personally approves of should be on YT, and everyone should follow his dictates. Our very own Mary Whitehouse (Mark 2). Aren't we lucky?
 
It's history now. Luckily for me YT was actually costing me money when I counted the cost of the videos compared to player revenue accrued via YT. Still miss making the videos though I admit, alas it has cost the live streamers dearly. Plus I still get a decent income RS from the players I did get in the 2-3 years I used YT for marketing and so hopefully do the streamers.

The trolls are chasing their tails though and playing whack-a-mole. If anybody is determined enough they can still make a new channel in a different name and make hay for a few weeks until YT get around to closing it. The streamers have simply taken their followers over to Twitch which is growing daily. When Twitch goes, there'll be somewhere else. The antis and trolls are fighting a losing battle. Sure, they'll have what they perceive as minor victories along the way, but ultimately it's futile as people power and freedom of choice will always prevail.

But if it gives them a warm feeling whilst paying off their debts and fighting their addiction or any other consequences of their personal weakness then let them get on with it. It's horses for courses. No pun intended....
 
There is a thread about this where @dunover is mentioned on the gamcare forums along with some of the biggest ever tin foil hattery I have ever come across. The basic premise being

Players get 2 rtps,

1 for bonus play set at around 101% then when nearing play through there is a man sat in a room who pulls a switch and lowers the rtp to around 94/95% apparently this is how ALL casinos do this ;-)

For streamers its different. The RTP for winning videos is automatically set high so they win no matter what for the "advert"


and apparently Dunover smashes things when loosing and has mental health issues. (due to shouting at cats and cursing at GOL.) < not my words or thoughts at all but they are kind of loosing the plot over there.

It makes for miserable reading, and im not slamming anyone who wants to quit and has issues but they aint doing selves any favors with this approach. If you dont like dont watch it. But dont try preach to the rest of us degenerates where and how we spend out time!

When ever did YT cater for for children ? is it not a parents responsibility to check what the child is watching (netnanny / safesurf spring to mind) sorry but your talking bollocks. Will you say the same for extreme right wing videos ? videos of executions ? movies on people who self harm ? Videos of plane crashes ? soft PrOn videos ? shall i go on ? all are freely available on YT ... its called freedom of speech. And if i dont like something I dont watch it. but I dont need someone trying to dictate what I can and can not watch on a public platform.

When my kids were younger they never saw gambling online, or porn, or dead hamsters being eaten by psychopaths because I checked and policed there activity. I dont expect YT or any other plat form to do this. Your pushing your righteous views on others. I get it , your bitter because of your addiction. I feel for you on that. But focus on recovery and not what others are doing. You will be happier for it! The channels will return in time, you know that. And whats good about this actually is it is motivating certain people to find other outlets to stream/ share videos. Which in the end means more choice and more gaming videos. )

I think a bigger issue than the streamers/uploaders and gambling haters is people actually watch other people play slots. That I can't work out, seems like one of the dullest things in life to do.
 
That sounds just like watching TV shows... It is the same thing! It is entertaining to watch others win and you also get interaction which you do not get in a TV show since you can chat with the host directly. Most people I know of watch streams in the background while doing their own thing.
 
Watching streamers mostly isn't about the slots playing but about the conversation going on and ofcourse seeing the occasional big win. You could ask yourself about watching anything really, alot of people watch gaming streams while they could just play the game theirselves. RC cars used to be a hobby of mine, there's a big community on forums and Youtube about that too. It's just fun to sometimes interact with people about your hobby... a bit like we do here really :eek2:

Well, a lot of these people watch and kiss the asses of the streamers because they want a handout or reward for their “loyalty”. They’re too cheap or poor to deposit their own money into slots so they beg the streamer for bonus funds. I usually block the comments section because the sycophancy is revolting. It’s as if Justin Bieber is the streamer.

As for those who watch American gamblers film or stream from a smartphone...America has a lot of serious gambling addicts. I watch videos from Random $$ because he explains the rules and answers comments. I don’t watch total losers such as The Big Payback and his ilk. Just a bunch of attention seekers with annoying “American” personalities who NEED TO TYPE LIKE THIS when they title a video.

Not sure which streamers you're watching but I rarely, if ever, see any begging going on. Most streamers won't engage in that either. Sure there'll be people kissing ass... You can mute them and won't see their messages :thumbsup:

On the American side of things I really like VegasLowRoller.

Agree with all of that and well said.

I wouldn't say Youtube is a public platform. It is a private platform and they can allow whatever they want their audience to see, within certain boundaries of course. As gambling, streaming slots etc. is legal, those that don't like it can simply do one and jog the fuck on.
 
So there we have it, YT trolls hiding in plain sight & feeling entitled!

What difference does it make to the individual if they sign up using a link on Craigslots or Google, they still lost at that casino! Wow :cool:

I think You Tube et. al. are far too political. They make decisions based on what's politically correct. Silicon Valley doesn't care about the You Tube viewers they only care whether they look good or not. Banning or deleting channels that don't confirm is nothing new. Other channels have gone over to Vevo so hopefully that will last a bit.

It is. Try and do it legitimately and buy views etc. and as soon as they see gambling is your theme, bog off. It'll last 5 minutes before they remove the content.

Facebook allow adverts from Casinos, they require proof of operating licence etc, what seems to slip through the net is pages giving 'tips' on gambling, there's loads on there that constantly spam up my timeline sponsored casino nause :D
 
If UK media is to be believed , youtube don’t seem to have a problem with ‘drill’ music videos and gangs glamorising/ boasting about stabbings/guns .

How can the clowns that spend their time trying to ban a slot video justify content like that ?
