if, by the way, you live somewhere that doesnt have and know what a raccoon is...its basically a 30-50 pound rat, that's wild and is an opportunistic feeder (ie eats anything, bugs, birds, frogs, seeds, french fries, garbage)

cute to see, removes fingers if pressed :p

Was at a mates earlier.
my good mate ‘matty’s’

was his best man, drank fine scotch with his bearded dragon....

also played some poker... was a great night.
not a deposit In site, that said the scotch was overly good and the hangover tomorrow will be terrible lol

so, while the mom has moved on, I've had a pr of twin coon kids coming round this last month; adorable little shits, been watching them grow
though now, theyre here every night raiding the cat feeder

always the same
open the door
One a hissy, spitty, grunty little shit
Other all..meh....people but free food, so I sit and chill on the deck with him and chuck him cat cookies, fridge meat w/e

So, one I have to throw food out in the yard so it can eat cuz it's very wary
The other, passed him a frozen weiner tonight, and hes all, thanks dude

Cute buggers,
Yes, yes, dont feed wildlife, though I know they live behind the house.
And being suburbia? Theyve a lifespan of one year (mostly cars) so, hey, here, theyve food and a safe haven :) I mean, food's out regardless for cats

Visited a mate earlier, tad of bbq and a scotch.

also daisy dog, superb beast.
he walked her back to mine tonight to get her walk in.

Compared to sox she’s a skinny little thing and weird to handle her lol, but a great loving nature.

mate runs miles with her, Great little dog.

Offered sox a late night walk, as expected the reaction wasn’t met with such excitement..

It’s humid here, got the fan back out and seems to chill her out a bit.

She’s 9 now, i don’t want to know but in a way I do, how long do staffy dogs live usually?.. depressing I know, but she’s getting grey hairs like her dad (Mine on my stubble as bald elsewhere lol)

rule of thumb, the larger the breed, the less time with us; she seems a medium to large dog; id wager youve still a few yrs left with her :)

Yeah hope so. I’d be lost without a sox.
Never realised before her how anyone got so attached to animals, she was my first proper pet.
better than I thought. I was told 9/12 years. Never googled it tho.

15 years is fine, so I’ll believe it’s going to be 15 years, also told sox now haha

my old girl - old as in muzzle, still fit and spry - might get a few good years out of her yet, I think shes nine.
Thankfully, the breed is nearly top of the list in regards to health (they just....eventually die rather than dog related illnesses) - i think shes 9

the fat bastard is 8 or 9, and hes pretty overweight, has gimpy paws, and theyre prone to fucktons of health issues, so that's a card toss

I actually just found a golfball sized lump in his belly a couple days back - it could be written off as easily benign, him being fat (it's common)

my friends' dog having been put down yesterday from cancer, now juggling whether to spend the 500+ on a vet trip or 'wait and see'

Aweful subject, but would you get other dogs after your own???

I’d like to after sox, but don’t think it would be the same or I’d feel the same as it’s not sox, weird I know lol

oh, definitely
when i was young, it was about mememe, travelling the world care-free

now? couldnt imagine not coming home to a dog.

After this lot though, a pr of less high-strung and lazy; thinking one newf and one st bernard; fat lazy bastards happy to do little more than sit at home...and keeping age (mine) in mind, ones around for about 10 yrs

Don’t wait it out mate take the hit for the vet if it turns out to be nothing so be it but if it’s something else the sooner you get the treatment started the better chances fer the dug..
