Your Fur Babies 2020

No Mow May here so backyard is a jungle. Cat's dragged in at least 6 mice last few days, the terror; some dead but intact, one missing its head, a live one last night I got out of his mouth.

But a super 30s hot day here so hes asleep in the basement and the birds are fully enjoying the tall grasses eating bugs and seed while they can :P

My boy was feeling the heat today too so a cooling blanket and a parasol to shade him from the sun and he was a happy pup :)

he is not allowed on the new sofa; just bought him a new $200 bed this week
however...

was thunderstorms last night, and the big sucky had to sit by daddy :P

Hey pet and fur lovers, lovely too be back here and sox echos my statement.

pic of sox and my daughter, one of her by the pond merely assessing the ducks (by no means wanting to attack them viciously)

A chilled out sox panting And a lady sox eating a gravy bone as majestically as possible for a staffy.

Sox got....summer fat :p
Dino she has, in my defence she’s had 2 stings that made her literally hardly able to walk or get any exercise.
One was on her throat from a bee the vet reckoned, the other on her fat ass that didn’t seem to bother her.
Trying to get back into her walking routine but she’s getting old and lazy now.
Cut her food down but as she’s older will take a while to drop the weight in a healthy way.
Also noted you called her fat!!! Your just as cruel as that ladyhawke!!! Utter monsters!!!
More therapy and more vets bills for me incoming lol

She’s now having her water and most Probably will retire to bed (my bed) upset again with the bully culture on this site.
Can sox PAB?.. she would have a good case, max if your reading.... lol

Is Isabelle Grace wearing a unicorn headdress? Looks like one that was on her Unicorn birthday cake.

That cake will probably live in her memory for ever - it truly was absolutely stunning. And such a lovely idea from a very proud Dad.

Old Attachment (Invalid)
No the unicorn headdress I got her as a clue to what her cake would be.
Then made her close her eyes and walk into the kitchen before I revealed her cake.
Got a video of it and she cried with happiness.
I’d post it but I’m crap with technology and for some reason can’t post vids on here.

@greylady - Did you ever adopt any ferrets in the end?

If so...picturez! We want picturez!

I got a weasel, which erm I am embarrassed to say was an ickle boy opposed to the girl I thought I had

It's now called bouncer as it bounces all over the place, up the walls, on my bed and boy it's like greased lightening. I have lots of pics of just a tail, an ear, or nothing but I will upload from phone in morning (i promise) so you can see the wee blighter.

A friendly stray cat which I am feeding daily and our neighbour's cat which lives outside and likes to visit me all the time.
They look like the same cat??? In the last picture, he is so regal - an awesome photo.

Also, no cat should live outside - nor should dogs. They should be inside, living the good life in warm, cosy places - laps, beds, sofas, hearths, etc.

Agree, apart from the fact that they are completely different colors, they kind of look alike.
They probably belong to the same species or something.

They are both ginger(ish)! With white bits. So in my book, that qualifies as the same colour.

I was going to take the high road with my reply.

BUT... Bears will do anything to get the upper hand...errr...paw..

SO...

I have my WTF button. Now I think I need an 'Up Yours' one as well... :D

Well, now on a second look, i think you may have been right.
I made two buttons, and i can hardly tell them apart.
Just kidding, i can totally tell them apart. :cheerleader:

Careful innocent bear..
This ‘ladyhawke’ is most mean and will pounce when you least expect it...
sox and me had to have a stiff whisky after her last attacks!..

They are two different cats, first is male, second is female. The only thing similar is their body weight/size. Never actually thought that they are similar. For the first one's mother who was also a very friendly stray, I managed to find home and will see if I can find it for this one. This is his mother.

While the other one has an outdoor bed and is fed by the owner, me and sometimes another neighbour.

Hey...she matches your patterned bathroom tiles... :D

All three of them are beautiful cats. I genuinely thought the two in your original photo looked very similar and it was just a trick of the light that made your neighbour's cat look a darker shade of marmalade. The curse of old(ish) age and fading eyesight.

Even though your neighbour's cat - and your photo of her is truly awesome - may have an outdoor bed, I firmly believe all pets' living quarters should be inside in the warmth.

As you probably can guess, I am not a fan of animals living outdoors at all. Although here in Australia, it is common place for dogs to be permanently kept in outside kennels. Just can't wrap my head around that at all. :(

Agree, but it is better than nothing. If a cat is comfortable living outside and does not go to far then is alright. It is actually best for the cats to live outside in the farms and villages, where they spend daytime outside and then go somewhere to sleep st night.

Also, two more pictures from my album.
The first one is the cat my mom has at home. We took him from the shelter. Very friendly, sometimes has issues with gums and ears because he had lots of vaccinations in the past. When it comes it vaccinations (for humans or pets), better focus on a healthy lifestyle/nutrition rather than some magical pills or shots. Nothing can outdo damage if you are not taking care of the natural immune system. It is too complex to be fully understood so focus on prevention and improvement rather than medicine/vaccines and then doing nothing.

Funny story with this one. We found him while we were on vaccation in a small town close to the sea. He was just standing next to the pavement. My mom decided to pick him up and see what happens. So we picked him up and gave him some food. Turned out that he was a very friendly cat. My mom did a good job in checking his fur and managed to find a tick in his skin! She carefully removed it and maybe even saved his life by doing that.

Then she decided to add his picture to a local newspaper which was read by many people who were on vacation at one of the towns in that area. I took it with my phone and the editor decided to put it on the front cover free of charge! As soon as it was published we started receiving calls. One woman was no go since she wanted the cat as a gift for somebody else and then we gave it to the next lady who was very interested. Not sure how the cat is doing after quite a few years passed, but he is probably still alive and doing well.

After massive bullying and flaming my hound for being ‘big boned’ she is now on a diet..
Won’t mention names but grey and that hawk lady!!!!
Sox now is on a fitness drive and will be happy to update her weight loss on here.
She’s had to grow thick skin after being introduced on here so she’s fine and hasn’t taken the terrible abuse to heart.
She’s currently having a snooze after being walked by me and Isabelle earlier, Isabelle is bossy with her (typical women)
